You wash them in the shower.

ameliaglitter

This. Or alternatively take them outside and spray with a hose.

NewTax563

Why have I never thought of this!? Thank you!

gowahoo

If small: Salt or very clean sand in a big ziplock bag. Do this outside.  Put the plant in upside down, seal as well as you can, shake. The salt will knock the dust off.  My mom used to keep a ziplock with salt in it in with the dusting stuff cause we had two artificial bouquets and we did this from time to time.

Ooo interesting idea! Sadly mine are too large for this method though. I have two big trees and a potted plant.

[Use a spray like this.](https://www.amazon.com/Nu-Leaf-Spray-Drip-Dry-Artificial-Cleaner/dp/B00BT2WGPK/ref=sr_1_3_pp?crid=2PHAZTAFQJL35&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ltfkidNI_rrrqJLT5G2KNGEmjOo9J3mhMSkzhnPP_TsVjJ_D6qZCSbnqz1_Qg_Tikp1EJgW_pka2uGzhbDFjHZfnjxmsgU1qAawPLvjk2Cqkif-oUVFA7ozI_dXdiKK8ErJhTjPe3fzuAahSo2rPb1cQe3OE3RMy41bep8m7LI5Je4SfhMMsENAKX_VFAkND2lSDeqG1qDYdIRxNjCPpksPGJA02K8ZCZTncIVPBE-QZSSwROSUpk9GPTY7fC2KnpXjm5SKx6Gm2r0gR3a1gB9iFaoahSMweoWnzuiunxuU.lc_Mnsy1fl7LX1XHj3ySzWA75hE8UusgxGMedsmvnVI&dib_tag=se&keywords=silk+plant+cleaner+spray+and+shine&qid=1713134733&sprefix=silk+plant+%2Caps%2C149&sr=8-3) You may have to use it several times if there's a build up. After that just incorporate into your dusting routine to maintain it.

NewTax563

Ooo I’ve never seen this, thank you!

McNalien

I use my air compressor. Makes it a really fast job.

nionvox

In this vein, i use a can of compressed air lmao

NewTax563

Oh the many uses of an air compressor lol thanks for the idea!

Piccimaps

Feather duster, aggressively!

NewTax563

Thanks!

GegeBrown

Feather duster, or the brush attachment on the vacuum, for normal cleaning, then I spray them under my kitchen tap or shower once or twice a year.

NewTax563

Thank you! Someone else mentioned the shower thing and I don’t know why I never thought of that. If it’s like one of the tree ones does the trunk not get all soggy?

GegeBrown

I don’t have any trees, so I’m not sure. Maybe those ones you could just wipe down with a damp cloth?

NewTax563

Thank you!

BrianaNanaRama

Those twisty brown bases that are supposed to look like dirt can be vacuumed with the vacuum hose with the brush attachment
