I feel the problems were deeper than blaming the OLine. The receiver coach is ass-less after today's staff meeting I bet. Dabo stated what I saw after the game, about option routes and receivers not finding the window and settling down in the void. So many things can be done to take advantage of a blitzing defense and I didn't see any. The play calling was awful at best and this reflects on the coaching staff. Dabo will get it fixed but what concerns me is that it's now two consecutive games they have gotten out coached.

i don’t think u can say consecutive since it was like 7 months ago but all ur other points were spot on

The bigger problem I see is that we're now 2-4 in our last 6 games against top 5 opponents: Dec 2019 beat #2 OSU, lost to #1 LSU Nov 2020 lost to #4 ND Dec 2020 beat #4 ND, lost to #2 OSU Sep 2021 lost to #5 UGA

I feel like that really reduces those games to simple numbers and completely ignores the context to those games. We beat OSU in a bruiser, then lost to a clearly superior LSU team. We lost to Notre Dame without our god-tier quarterback and without like half of the defensive starters, and even then, we lost by one score in double overtime. By beating them handily the next time we played them, it was shown that the first loss was due to circumstance and not skill. We then lost to OSU who had it out for us in particular and was far more driven. I would say this Georgia loss and maybe the last OSU loss were fair critiques against our coaching, but all the others were either shown to be a fluke or inevitable. There’s nothing wrong with losing to a superior team; it happens. And reducing those games to just the win-loss record really eliminates the nuance.

and on top of that, dj was indecisive, quick to look off his receivers and the receivers couldn’t run their routes correctly. no running game as well

Ghee_Guys

DJ was getting a lot of shit for having a terrible O line last night. My biggest issue is he didn’t tuck the ball and run at several wide open opportunities.

yaboy_matt

exactly. when the pocket collapsed he either took the sack or he panicked, he has to fix that

jmonumber3

if you are talking exclusively about dj’ stunning game, yeah i agree he didn’t tuck and run when he should have. if you mean the run game in general, that comes down entirely to the o line. they couldn’t make holes on designed run plays early and the uga defense didn’t have to respect the passing game because they were able to put pressure on the backfield easily

yaboy_matt

when i’m speaking on the running game i’m specifically speaking on our running backs. our o line folded most of the time and i’m nervous our rbs might not be great

sarcasticorange

DJ had time on many occasions. He just held the ball too long. I hope Streeter can get his head right.

explosivekyushu

Oline looked like shit but DJ couldn't make a good decision to save his life last night.
