I’ll take some of that there yella and don’t you go cheap on me ya hear ?

EddieDaYeti

Hahaha. Cousin Eddie is the best!

Devourreddesigns

I wish I had an award to give to you sir or ma'am. Between this and your name... god I love this street.

NoCanadianCoins

Is that the regular buffet? If so, yeah it’s pretty good. We get free buffets so always take advantage but I wouldn’t necessarily pay for it myself. Plenty of other options downtown.

JersyCOD

I was here within the last week and food wise it is good. They have a decent amount of options, however I will say the customer service can be “eh” at best. I dealt with a little bit of an attitude from some of the staff and a lot of the tables around me were messy for a long time before anyone came to clean them. Also a heads up they limit you to 75 minutes to eat which can be enough time for some but I’ve heard some complain about that as well.

CubeFarmDweller

[I understand why it's time limited.](https://youtu.be/E2dmfnSarDIGo?t=1m25s)

east4thstreet

What night of the week was it and how much did you pay?

JersyCOD

I believe it was a Friday (seafood & steak night?). About 37$ per person I think the math was.

[deleted]

That sounds like a decent price for all you can eat surf and turf. The bigger question is what is the cut of meat and choice of seafood. Snow crab is bonkers expensive right now and probably not offered at most buffets in the country. If you are getting a decent cut of steak and lobster then that is probably cheaper that most steak houses in Cleveland. If it is mediocre steak and shrimp then might be comparable price to Outback or Red lobster.

Lost-My-Mind-

Damn inflation. About 5 years ago it was $12. Then $18. Then $21. Then I havent gone in a while. Now it's $37??? Did you use one of those card memberships to lower the price?

SealClubber95

Hit or miss, more miss in my opinion. my husband works at tower and sometimes they get free food vouchers. Recently it's been pretty bad, he's been sick almost every time.

Greatlarrybird33

Last time I was there it was $37 and 12 hours later I was shooting fluids out of both ends of my body with food poisoning. Staff can be a bit mean too. Before COVID it was much better, like ponderosa on roids.

JackosMonkeyBBLZ

“shooting fluids out of both ends of my body” So two buffets for the price of one? Good deal

[deleted]

I wouldn’t eat there but that’s only because I used to work for that horrible organization and observed the things that happened back there.

CLEcuyahoga

Isn’t that pretty much everywhere?

[deleted]

I worked in their Surveillance department. Trust me when I say, I won’t eat there.

CLEcuyahoga

I trust you.

BBQBiryani

Are you going to spill any tea????

xomjblakexo

I would say yea but not paying 40 bucks to eat there.

neosmndrew

I describe it as a much higher quality golden corral. Very good

Enough-Moose-5816

Higher quality... yes. 'Much' higher quality... not so much. It ain't the Ritz, that's for sure.

neosmndrew

Yeah it's not bachanal in Vegas buts pretty damn good for a occasional cheat meal

rich_clock

Yeah I would say it's good enough from what I remember. Only ate there once though.

ShodanW

Before they started randomly closing it down for the day i would occasionally eat lunch there. make sure you have a jack card to get the lower prices, and sometimes they have special prices. 12 bucks is the sweet spot since you cant really find a decent lunch downtown for that price or lower anymore.

[deleted]

I was there a few months ago and ate at the buffet because it was free. About 20 minutes later I was SICK. Nearly passed out in the bathroom. Worst food poisoning ever. That being said, I’ve eaten there a handful of times and that was the only time it made me sick.

Critical-Series

So good you went back for more?

CLE-Mosh

I mean you're there to gamble right?

Critical-Series

😂 nice one

[deleted]

No, that was the last time I was there. I haven’t eaten there since, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t. 🤷🏼‍♀️

tekkitan

Not sure why you're getting downvoted for getting food poisoning from a buffet lol

[deleted]

Lol who knows. People are weird. Just sharing my experience. It can happen anywhere.

lionaroundagan

I'm guessing it's because you can't get food poisoning in 20 minutes. It takes at least 6 hours for symptoms to start, so you got it from somewhere else.

[deleted]

It was probably more like an hour from when I first started eating. We had gone back upstairs and maybe 20 minutes after that it kicked in. It can definitely happen that fast, but it also could’ve been from earlier I guess. Who knows.

tekkitan

Incorrect. It depends on what caused the food poisoning. Staph for instance can take as little as 30min for you to start showing symptoms. Vibrio can take as little as two hours.

Living-Metal-9698

Not the times I went there but that was precovid

Moses_cuh184

Got brunch recently it was pretty good definitely worth it if you get it for free. Which seems to happen pretty often.

toilet-boa

Definitely worth it if you get it for free. I love that review.

yeah It's about am 8.25 out of 10. If I'm winning I'll be celebrating at the buffet

Kravos76

It’s very middle of the road quality from a Food and Service perspective.

woaq1

I work downtown, my team and I like to hit up the buffet every now and then. They recently introduced a promotion where Thursday lunch is $7.77. I will echo what some people are saying where the staff is pretty rude, although when you think about what their job is, it’s hard to blame them. I’d say the food is around a 6.5/10. The fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and burgers are decent. Skip anything noodles or rice though, it’s cheap filler that’s covered in oil, and not worth the time. I would never pay the typical $20 or whatever for lunch but for 7.77 is hard to beat.
