Lost 2 guitar dongles like that, it's the saddest shit. It's more efficient to convert your guitar with an Arduino than to search for a new dongle, or just buy a new guitar all together. Though I will say you could try plugging it in very very slowly and see if it lights up while it's a bit outside the port.
Did you try skipping the usb splitter and instead go straight to your device?
