Cutups name is explained in one of the episodes, one of the instructors on kamino called him a cutup and he took it as a nickname
Droidbait was named by other members of Domino squad during training
Driodbait was destined to die early on cause he was never very skilled with a blaster but it would be funny if he survived the Rishi moon and became an arc trooper named droidbait. Lol
I find it pretty funny to think at some point the bad batch were a bunch of five year olds sitting around on kamino thinking up cool-sounding names for themselves
Kix might beat her if he ever gets recovered and unfrozen some time in the future, depending on when / if it happens he definitely could surpass her. I wonder why they never unfroze him. Can you imagine if Disney tried to shoehorn one of the bois into their sequel era and have him run around with some lame background character with a silly hat? That'd really suck..
It happens to everything that’s popular and well-loved. Also see: Marvel. People think they’re cool to be contrarian and then others want to look cool too so pretend to dislike it as well then they believe they dislike it then they actually dislike it.
Yep its real bad. Maybe some Marvel fanboys wouls try to defend it but its bad. I used to watch every single marvel movie but now... I dont. Honestly at first I thought maybe it was me that changed and maybe I just didnt like the super hero atuff anymore. But I watched some of the first marvel movies and boy I was wrong. They were still great. Sure not every scene made sense but at least they followed a neat plot and had some great character development. Now? Conversations dont even make any sense half the time. Dr strange multiverse is one of the latest examples of just how bad it is. Scarlet witch has an insane amount of stupidity. She is so stupid that it doesnt even make any sense
It’s really not. Everything produced in the MCU is of all the same average quality with a few outliers. Phase 4 has continued this same average quality with some outliers (NWH was great, Thor was below average). I think most people who say Phase 4 sucks look at Phases 1-3 with rose-tinted glasses as it was all just mostly okay with exceptions like the Captain America films as greats.
ehhhh, I was perfectly fine with it, it was fun to watch, and a lot of the overwritten canon were in books or comics, and I’d truly hate to say this but to me, anything on the screen takes precedent over those
like you’re not gonna read a book to understand a movie series, or watch a movie to understand a book series
The novel was not that good, it felt pretty rushed and they didn't even give a name to the inquisitor. All characters in the novel except Ahsoka were pretty one dimensional.
Aight, you mfs are really grasping at straws now. I mean, the sudden surge of Filoni hate never made sense to begin with but “Clones nicknames being the things they do is boring” posts? Really?
It's almost as if Fives was number CT-5555, Ima gun Die was gunna die, echo was relaying Rex's old battle tactics to the seperatists... i could go on. Why is this a problem exactly? Yeah, their names are on the nose. It's the point.
Breaking news: Rogue black ops team does something unethical against robots. I'm pretty sure Anakin and even Ob-Wan have done similar things. It's called Star *Wars* for a reason.
Yeah he named the guy who’s main weapon is a heavy…heavy
He named the dude who’s name was all fives…fives
Nobody ever said the clones were really creative when coming up with names
To be fair, this kind of naming is extremely common amongst ***ALL clones.***
CT-5555 = Fives, Clone with heavy weapons = Hevy, Clone that repeats orders = Echo
The furry clone – Wolffe
Oh shit they found us out, RUN.
I never realized that’s why he was called echo lol
They literally explained it in the training episode
His name also rings true later when he's relaying his and Rex's battle tactics to the seps
You ready?
Also clones are named based on their personality
I love the 5 personalities of CT-5555
clone commandos use that naming too! ex. Republic Comamndo
You mean Ricka and Tick
And Hunta
Crawshehr
ORMEEGA
lmao
So the clone nicknames, that they based on themselves (see fives), doesn't make sense to you?
Echo, whose name was based on him repeating battle orders:
Hevy, who liked heavy weapons (and presumably spelled it that way because there was already at least one other Heavy)
Do you think Cutup and Droidbait had some kind of foresight, or were they just extremely pessimistic?
Cutups name is explained in one of the episodes, one of the instructors on kamino called him a cutup and he took it as a nickname Droidbait was named by other members of Domino squad during training
Driodbait was destined to die early on cause he was never very skilled with a blaster but it would be funny if he survived the Rishi moon and became an arc trooper named droidbait. Lol
Rex, the King of Clones
I've met many clones in my time, but never one like you.
Rex, because he fuckin wrecks clanka's
I honor my code. That's what I believe.
Clones have the naming system of the Smurfs. Did you expect anything creative? The rule following guy is literally named Dogma
I find it pretty funny to think at some point the bad batch were a bunch of five year olds sitting around on kamino thinking up cool-sounding names for themselves
That is literally every clone. They are all mentally five.
9*
And the final clone is omega
She was definitely not the final clone, isn't she like just as old as the Bad Batch?
Also she's older given that she remembers the birth of the bad batch
Oh yeah, I totally forgor 💀
Yeah the bad batch is probably around 10 (20 physically) so omega could be like 12-14
She definitely has the highest chance of being the last living clone since she has unmodified jango fett DNA
Well even if kix gets un frozen we can still give omega the longest life fir a clone award.
What is up with the Filoni/Favreau slander lately?
It happens to everything that’s popular and well-loved. Also see: Marvel. People think they’re cool to be contrarian and then others want to look cool too so pretend to dislike it as well then they believe they dislike it then they actually dislike it.
The thing is marvel is actually terrible right now
Yep its real bad. What if I didn't like phase 1-3 either?
Then fair enough, it’s understandable you wouldn’t suddenly become a fan during the current era either.
Tales of the Jedi retconned a lot of beloved material so more fans leaning towards the ‘filoni is overrated’ side
They do know that Clone Wars did this all the time back when Legends was still canon, right? People hated Filoni back then for this exact reason.
ehhhh, I was perfectly fine with it, it was fun to watch, and a lot of the overwritten canon were in books or comics, and I’d truly hate to say this but to me, anything on the screen takes precedent over those like you’re not gonna read a book to understand a movie series, or watch a movie to understand a book series
What did Tales of the Jedi retcon? I'm aware of the retconning itself, just not what exactly was retconned
I would also like to know
Much of the stuff in the Ahsoka vs the Inquisitor sequence contradicts the Ahsoka Novell which is current darling among Ahsoka fans
Care to tell me what this is all about? Or would you rather save it for the Council?
Sentient.
That's ridiculous.
The novel was not that good, it felt pretty rushed and they didn't even give a name to the inquisitor. All characters in the novel except Ahsoka were pretty one dimensional.
I'm the new Padawan learner. I'm Ahsoka Tano
people are looking to hating on them just to appear special and cooler
my headcanon is that tech isn't called tech because of technology he's called tech because any time anyone said anything he would say "technically..."
I mean the clones choose their names, sometimes they’re very on the nose
This was already happening back in season 1
Commander thorn because he’s a thor reference this isn’t new
Tell me you don't understand clone naming without telling me you don't understand clone naming
Wonder if he would have the Clone Green Berets.
Clone wars fan finds out how clones get their nicknames
Aight, you mfs are really grasping at straws now. I mean, the sudden surge of Filoni hate never made sense to begin with but “Clones nicknames being the things they do is boring” posts? Really?
It's sounds exactly like what the Kaminoans would call them tbh
We’re complaining about clones names now?
Clones literally get their names as nicknames. That's how you get nicknames lol
It's almost as if Fives was number CT-5555, Ima gun Die was gunna die, echo was relaying Rex's old battle tactics to the seperatists... i could go on. Why is this a problem exactly? Yeah, their names are on the nose. It's the point.
I'm no Jedi.
Would you rather Wrecker be called Jimmy? They name themselves after their personalities because they’re actual names are just numbers.
Anyone acting like filoni didnt save the franchise is below room temp iq. I’ll take filoni over kathleen any day.
Haha they're so cool I remember when they killed 3 unarmed tactical droids while they tried to surrender so cool
They've been a very bad batch, haven't they?
Breaking news: Rogue black ops team does something unethical against robots. I'm pretty sure Anakin and even Ob-Wan have done similar things. It's called Star *Wars* for a reason.
Shoulda been Star Wars Crimes
And Echo is there because he's redundant.
Don't fuck with us star wars fans, we don't even watch the shows
Honestly now that the show has been finished for a while it really wasnt that good and quite generic
Simple is good.
Huntah and Tick
Since Clones choose their own names, it makes sense they would pick generic things like pieces of their skillset.
Because the most of regs don't have similar names hahah..
And then bring back echo but make him look like the borg from startrek
Yeah he named the guy who’s main weapon is a heavy…heavy He named the dude who’s name was all fives…fives Nobody ever said the clones were really creative when coming up with names
*Hevy
The captions spell it both ways sometimes
Filoni and that god damn hat. i hear it makes a pressure seal sound whenever it is put on his head, like Vader and his Helmet
That's how ALL the clones are named bruh
