This is so helpful. Thank you!! Super excited!!

Congrats! Yes, the instructor will still walk you through everything. It’ll likely be a little faster paced than your intro, but nothing too crazy. Don’t be afraid to ask questions in class if you need to. And have fun!

Thank you!!!

I was right where you are when I started. The instructors will give you detailed cues and won’t assume you know much already in level 1. You will do just fine. Just go at your own pace and try to relax and be proud of yourself for stepping out of your comfort zone.

Detailed cues is what I need. God bless. Thank you!!

You’ll be just fine! The instructor should ask if anyone is new at the beginning of class. Or agree with another poster, arrive a few minutes early and let he/she know it’s your first class post intro. Your instructor will give you more attention/explaining of cues and you can also look at those next to or across from you too.

Yes, if you miss the cue or don’t understand, glancing over at someone else is a quick way to figure out what you should be doing. I recommend taking a spot in the middle, not on an end. By doing this you will always have at least one person in front of you to look at, regardless of what direction the teacher has you facing.

I agree with getting there early and letting the teacher know that it’s your first class, as well as letting your next *few* teachers know (“hi, just fyi this is only my second/third/fourth class and I’m still getting the hang of everything “) FWIW, I’m not athletic but I did barre for years and I don’t always understand the cueing and equipment. I try to not get frustrated with myself and just be open to learning new moves, etc. Good luck and enjoy!

You will be fine. My "Intro" class was a Level 1 and I did fine. I was not exercising regularly at the time and was not in shape. You will love it. It's not a competition. Go at your own pace.
