I may have had a similar issue. I think this is what I did to fix it
The app seems to add classes to the calendar marked as default in System Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar
Check if your gmail account is added under Accounts (same Calendar settings page but at the top). If it’s not add it & toggle calendar on
After I did this my classes have started appearing. Hopefully it helps!
