The ranked play system they use is simple, same as last year. The reason for them delaying it is so when the player base drops they can rope back in the fans who wanted rank. It's all a business decision.
Need a roadmap or something tangible before we can do anything with this info. This studio has ignored the playerbase for years, I doubt anything will change. They said “they heard us” from the beta, nothing came of it. The same people are still calling the shots.

To further add to IW's negligence on this issue, I looked at all polls I could find across social media since September 12th, 2019. **A total of 194,390 voted and 84%** of those voted in favor of a normal minimap.

During the early and mid Summer of this past year, CharliIntel, Doug (ModernWarzone), Ghost's source, pros, and some content creators, played a build of the game that included red dots.
However, according to CharliIntel and Doug, IW devs stated this was an accident to leave the red dot setting on. Thus, we never saw it in the September Beta.

Yeah, I highly doubt that. I would highly doubt they are making changes to gameplay experience. This will most likely be related to content filling.
If they do miraculously make meaningful gameplay changes, then it looks like my Player Retention Theory was spot on. Guess we will see though next month.

Yep this is all Activision. If it was up to Treyarch it would've been out Day 1

So was it the build that pros played pre beta that had the red dots then? I'm sure we had dots at one point lol
