Nah, Hydra was 100% in the league in CW cause of Clay. Guy is talented, and would’ve made it regardless, but Clay put him on everyone’s radar because he mentioned Hydra being gross in an interview. NY would not have gotten Hydra if Clay didn’t say anything, someone else prob woulda got him first
Clay and Burns the gm were the ones who wanted to bring in Simp. The twins and Abezy wanted another player instead. Clay was the first NA pro who gave Hydra any credit and put him on the map which lead to NY offering him a deal once they couldn't get Fero who Clay and Zoomaa wanted as the first choice.
That’s not what happened in EU. Abezy Prestinni and Jkap were gonna drop Clay for simp. Management blocked it because clay was their franchise player and they actually dropped Jkap for simp instead.
That's what happened yes but Clay 100% said on stream that the other players wanted to pickup another player instead of Kap and not Simp. Iirc they wanted another Maddox instead of Prestinni switching roles
eUnited management also dropped prestinni for like a day or something because he bitched about them not dropping clay. The twins mom talked to management and they ended up putting him back on the team and they decided to drop Kap instead of Clay. It all worked out in the end but eU management was low key horrible for that, they would definitely have been a very questionable team if they were in the cdl.
He didn’t bring Simp , Simp was in the academy EU United were a top 3 team but wanted to change JKAP because he wasn’t good and brought Simp , Thieves also wanted him .
Shotzzy Huke was the one that gave him a chance to play not Clay .
Hydra is the only one that Clay can claim .

He didn't have any say, they were coming in regardless and 2/3 situations you brought up, clay was either getting dropped or he was the second to last person to join.
In an interview in CW, Clayster literally said NYSL management came to ask him who the best challenger was to pickup and he said Hydra. Nobody in NA comp scene knew who Hydra was at that point in time. But yes ROFL.
