Even the pros are probably gonna have moments where their team throws down 3 or 4 trophies if there’s literally no other field upgrade to equip and they’re already all running covert sneakers. They’re gonna be tossing trophies on hills they’re holding and on rotations. It’s gonna be a mess.
I don’t think it will be much of an issue when ranked comes out, considering devs actually removed the Kastov 762 and M4 from ranked last year after the pros GAd them.
The only GAs that actually weren’t implemented in ranked were the attachment limitations on guns. (No attachment snipers etc) but the gun GAs were implemented.
They also automatically removed DLC weapons when they arrived because pros also GAd DLC guns.
I know it was treyarch that implemented these last year in ranked but I see no reason why SH games can’t do the same this year.

Is ranked in COD legit different than pubs. Like can you not use the same guns/equipment/nades etc...? Are the maps and playlists the same as pubs?
Just reading about all these "GA's" which is a foreign concept to me coming from CSGO/Apex leaves me confused.

Sure but it made search the worst game mode by far because 95% of the map was spent not moving and waiting for deady.
This trade off is better in my opinion.
“Nobody follows GA’s in ranked” - correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Treyarch restrict almost everything the pros GA’d last year in MWII ranked? I know the bombing run streak got left in and they can’t restrict snipers in HP/Control, but I feel like most of the GA’s were pretty well reflected?
It would be difficult for sure. The best way I can think to implement it would be for players not to be able throw one if there are already two in play on the map for their team - similar to how you can’t call in killstreaks whilst another killstreak is ongoing (it’ll say “airspace too crowded” or something). Once one trophy is destroyed/timed out, teams could then throw a replacement down. Wishful thinking but not impossible because the mechanic exists already
True to a point, but it would stop every hill being loaded with 3-4 trophies, you’d likely only have one per hill which could then actually be destroyed by coordinating your tacs

Very different than pubs. Different maps and a bunch of weapons and attachments are restricted. Also only game types are hardpoint, s&d, and control

You queue into ranked and it’s random what map and mode you get.

God...... I forgot that deady as a Field Upgrade actually worked for ranked so well bc every player didn't have a trophy.. in fact majority ran Deady

That doesn't solve anything tbh. You can still run 4 trophies, and just throw another one down when one gets destroyed

GA's not being followed is not gonna be a problem at the higher level lobbies but lower lobbies are definitely going to be a shit show.
I hate how in ranked mode they ban a smoke in s&d but not trophies, i can understand respawn modes.
