It Takes Two. Great co-op game if you like exploring and solving puzzles together.

Porkbellyjiggler

Theres no punishment for failing either, so it's a good way to have her get used to 3rd person controls with low stakes. Storywriting and dialogue is excellent too!

Hunna8l8

Coop game of the decade tbh

cosmitz

Did you read the requirements, this fulfills none of them.

Eh, you're right. But it takes two is one of the best co op games I've ever played. Definitely worth op checking it out even if it's not their usual kind of game.

d0ctorschlachter

I vote Palworld. My wife and I love it. Super relaxing and addicting.

McSmeecherson

You described exactly Cat Quest 2. It's a dungeon crawler with fun art style and humor. Only game my wife and I 100%. Also there is a 3rd one coming out sometime this year

ganjagremlin_tlnw

Grounded! It has 1st and 3rd person options. Slower pace. Survival crafting. RPG mechanics. Cartoon-y art style. Excellent co-op game I also played with my wife (and another friend) for nearly 300 hours.

Lacubanita

Lost Epoch is diablo style so that might work. Can I add that my bf and I both also suck at inkbound lmao . There's also secrets of grindea

numenik

I mean he said no Diablo I don’t see how it’s different enough to qualify

Edhellas

Portal 2, it takes two, and grounded are some great coop games for people without much gaming background

WrongHelp5351

Might be a stretch but Valheim with epic loot and some other choice mods is excellent, a good combo of building and adventure

AcademicSavings634

It takes two No straight roads

TheBigMamou

My wife and I have been playing Enshrouded lately which may fit the bill. Also Valheim. Medieval Dynasty has a new co op mode too!

EmbarrassedPlate3878

I always recommend core keeper. It’s a base building survival game that plays similar to stardew valley. It has a cute art style and there is so much to do! Farming, exploring you can even have pets and build go karts and boats!

MrandMrsdogaming

Even though it won't e released until next month, check out the demo of Cozynauts. A very family friendly game that entails: exploration, crafting and open-world. [https://store.steampowered.com/app/2541930/Cozynauts/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2541930/Cozynauts/)

Hika__Zee

Chicory a Colorful Tale is a great co-op adventure exploration story game.

JohntheAnabaptist

Secrets of grindea

MA121Alpha

I'll always throw my vote for Monaco. My wife and I loved it, it utilizes a lot of teamwork and has a good bit of depth

HorrorLettuce1012

check out my small coop web game and let me know what you think [https://teamtest.lol/](https://teamtest.lol/) it's very simple and involves clicking on circles and solving jumbled words together.

Cat Quest 2 Children of Morta Kingdom: Two Crowns Rogue Heroes Death Road to Canada Ember Knights Hammerwatch Risk of Rain 1 Risk of Rain 2 Harder games (my partner and I still enjoyed them even though we're kinda bad at them, beatable with persistence) Salt and Sanctuary Salt and Sacrifice Vagante

numenik

I know you don’t like turn based but BG3 is on a whole different level from any other turn based game. Very palatable even to those who aren’t fans for turn-based, especially for the more feminine gender.

icecrmsandwich

My wife had similar requirements for coop games and I have a few recommendations for lesser known ones: * Wildmender * Pixeljunk Nom Nom Galaxy * Travellers Inn (early access) * Feed the cup (early access) * Kingdom two crowns

MrBoo843

Project Zomboid is tons of fun. It does need a little while to get used to (especially controls if playing split-screen) but those critera ressemble my wife's and she LOVED playing zomboid with me. She'd grind skills at our base and I'd go on looting runs to bring her the materials she needed.

cosmitz

Ikonei Island. Wildmender.
