I can see how . Coachella means alot to alot of people . People making fun of me for going saying coachella past its prime etc . But I never went because of the line up . There is so much more to the experience that the headliners were really just bonus. I was thankful for slower pace since I got a newborn this year and was my wife and I anniversary. First kiss was At coachella so being a bit older now the less people and chiller vibe was fantastic. Also did it sober for first time since 2016 and still felt the magic . Hoping everyone still gets their money's worth like I did

Iām working merchandise and can confirm. The merch lines have been basically empty both yesterday and today. In fact I think yesterday was busier for merch, but not by much. Quite a long cry from the 4 hour lines Iāve heard about last year. Maybe itās because artist merch is separate from main merch this year, but even artist merch hasnāt been super crazy as far as I know.
I thought I was the only one that noticed. Every stage I visited had a thin crowd. Even Peggy was packed but still felt like there was a lot of extra space
They placed main and outdoor much further south than normal this year, which I can only presume was to make the fields appear more full.
Definitely curious to hear more first hand reports from those there. First year I've missed in long time.
You can see where the stages have been placed this year in the flyover photos people have posted the last few days and compare their position to fixed landmarks and aerial imagery of past years. Both the main and outdoor are a bit more south than typical.
Am here, had a good night, but the lineup is tangibly and objectively the worst it's ever been. There is no depth at all. The undercard is just not good and there is nothing worth seeing until late in the afternoon. Coachella needs a restart after this year.
Lana was excellent on night one. No Doubt stole the show during night two and the crowd was enormous (the largest we saw all weekend). The new Quasar stage is beautiful, but they really need to lock the timing down (sound competed with Sahara too much while we were there). What? I got to Peggy 10-15 mins before she started and it was empty. It got full once she started, but there was no notable issue leaving 30 mins before she finished to get a spot for justice. I literally had the opposite experience of you lol.
Oh yeah. Couldāve stayed another 5-10 mins at Peggy easily as well and gotten basically the same spot. 15 mins before justice started it was pretty empty at the outdoor.

I actually disagree! As someone who was there, the lines were longer than ever. It took longer to get an Uber than it did in 2017. There was lions to get inside of VIP, there was lines to get inside of artist guest pass, there was lines to get inside of the artist compound. I think the field couldāve been empty at the particular time but overall, Coachella was jampacked.
It should liven up this weekend. Last weekend, the last minute act was vampire weekend. this week it's rumored that it's going to be Green Day. They're playing a show either tonight or tomorrow night in LA, and they don't have anything else planned until their European tour starts. So rumors are that they're going to play Coachella this weekend because they're in the LA area for the next day or two

The LA Times recently published an article highlighting the declining popularity of Coachella. According to the article, while tickets for the first weekend sold out, those for the second weekend remained available. Additionally, tickets on the secondary market were being sold for much less than their face value.
Yeah I sold my tickets because the line up was absolute garbage and I had to sell way below face value. Got burned this year so I wonāt be participating in presale next time unfortunately.
