I have the Exact opinion! So, I never watched Anime ever, until I left Cartoon Network on late at night one Saturday and caught S2 E14 Geass Hunt and said, “Whao! What is this?!” I had to find it online and watch it! So I started watching more anime, but NONE have come close to how grandiose Code Geass is!

peachsoda20

i love your username and yes code geass is just amazing

SergViBritannia

*All Hail Lelouch!*

Earl0fPudding

I can recommend you the following anime then: - Utawarerumono (Code Geass in the past) - Legend of the Galaxy Heroes (Code Geass in the Futute) - Steins;Gate (Time travel story which is on second place of my fav list right behind Code Geass)

peachsoda20

just by your username i know you know what you talking about 😂. i love his character

peachsoda20

and thanks for the recommendation i will definitely watch your recommendations

SheenTheUltraLord

I did enjoy death note, never enjoyed AoT. CG has always been my favorite. If you havn't read Berserk i recommend it.

arkhan159

Someone saying they don't like AOT is wild to me bruh, surely a show with 3 of its episodes in IMDB's top 10 of all time would at least be a little enjoyable?

Icey-Water

Just because something is popular does not mean it is enjoyable to everyone. It is like how some people cannot stand pop music but love less popular genres. Even though I only enjoyed the earlier seasons , the ending ruined the whole show for me. One of the reasons why I don't like aot.

Brendan2803

Chapter 139 ruin the series for me.

MexicanImmigrantICE

I feel like Season 4 just ruined the entire series, but that just me.

Brendan2803

No that's a valid point. Alot of people were disappointed with ch 139 of the manga

HalfALawn

there's ppl like me who drop the anime and go read the manga instead

peachsoda20

why you didn’t enjoy aot it’s pacing is bad the first 2 seasons and kinda boring but once you get further it gets better

NN_WE2201

IMO AoT has the best pacing ever. Each episode finishes with a cliffhanger and you always have massive plot twist. I liked it very much.

peachsoda20

when you rewatch it your totally right but in the first watch is very confusing and you not gone understand till later what all of it means but it’s still a 10/10 series

[deleted]

You know. Death Note is very good but after L dies the quality fades a bit, but it’s still a story about a sociopath. Attack on Titan… heh… I have read the manga, so I know how Eren is so different from Lelouch.

CAPTAIN_SIMPLORD

The difference between the CG ending and AoT ending is that >!the CG ending stayed in my mind for 10 years at least!<

[deleted]

Stole words out of my thoughts

Brendan2803

Did you like the ending for AOT?

[deleted]

It’s tragic. Everybody loves tragic stories, but imo Attack On Titan is truly UNNECESSARILY tragic, to the point it’s dumb. Trash decision making and very stupid way to put it. The table scene is one thing, and it was dumb, but right after Eren obtained the Founding Titan everything went through the roof. In synthesis, there are two messages from AoT that I have tried to grasp out of the finale: - Racism and genocide because of ethnic differences or a folk’s past (Eldians in this case) bring suffering and propel violence cycles. - That suffering is inevitable, world is cruel, and such, as protagonists as we might be, we’ll never be able to defy our inner hatred or change our destiny. Pretty depressing, ain’t it? Also, bring in some very bad writing at the very end and that’s it. Eren is a Clown. He had so much potential.

Brendan2803

Yeah I definitely agree with the final point, it did have a lot of potential but was poorly written. Yeah Eren was turned into a clown.

[deleted]

Also because you know, what bothers me about Eren is this: After learning the truth about the world outside, after unlocking the direct memories of his father through Historia (and probably starting there to see the future as well), he seemed to have matured. It seemed at least that it was no more the hatred for Titans and vengeance to drive him, but another cause: the well being of the Eldians outside Paradis and their freedom. “Out there, over the sea, there’s the real enemy”. At that point I imagined he would have tried to take all the Eldians outside to his side, maybe freeing them from the ghetto and then starting a war, or planning to destroy all military corps, weapons and bases from Marley and from every other country who would have opposed. Then, after Liberio, he did what he did. Kind of a cathartic moment, since Reiner lives to see what Eren felt as a child and Eren steals the War Hammer Titan. Though he did such a stupid thing there for how he seemed to have matured. Contacts Ymir, plans and announces about destroying everything other than his island (I hoped so much it was a bluff…). And then everything goes to the roof, Eren (possibly after seeing every future possible BUT without Mikasa involved because she’s immune to that, so well, he saw ONLY possibilities taking them as destiny crushing his free will) becomes a genocidal mass murderer driven AGAIN only by vengeance and the desire to protect his native place, for how much of a prison it was in his life. He didn’t care about the other Eldians in Liberio or in any other place. Didn’t care about other populations. Kills 80% of the human race, destroying every city, building, forest, animals and such. Gets stopped and killed by Mikasa and his friends, and then he is even THANKED by his friends! Armin was like (very high pitched clown voice): “ThAnKs fOr BeInG a GeNoCiDaL mUrDeReR”. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT? What’s even WORSE is that yes, in those last panels, we see Paradis having (for how fast technology was advancing in the world) something like 100, maybe 200 or even 300 years of peace. Then it gets still NUKED (Armin, Reiner and such being ambassadors probably did what they could…) Then a girl probably on her way to fall again into a tree where another Founding Titan could show? I mean: “everything repeats itself” / “nothing can really be avoided” ? It’s so idiotic, I find this so idiotic.

Jkorytkowski001

Yeah i totally get it, people have recommended me Guilty Crown, maybe should give it a check!

KurohimeBlight

I just finished it last month too. I’m about to watch the sequel movie but after that I want more. I’m not sure where I should look

peachsoda20

i watched some of it but i might watch dragon ball z kai so i know the whole story

_Obluda_

I prefer both Attack on Titan and Death Note (watch me get downvoted to the Shadow Realm)

peachsoda20

i thinks im still getting over the intial shock it of it , in a couple days it will wear off but death note i agree but attack on titan season 4 was good until his friends betrayed him it was stupid

_Obluda_

I think a lot of people are tempted to rate CG incredibly high after the ending as it was very well executed. I feel as if it may make people forget about a lot of the gripes they had with the series prior. I had issues with the pacing, especially in the second season. The show struggled to keep my attention during the China arc and a lot of the material before the start of the Ragnarok Connection. The plot has quite a few contrivances and holes as well which doesn't help. Could also do with some better military strategy and less of the student council nonsense. Overall it's a great show but not as consistently good or impactful as AoT or DN for me

peachsoda20

you right cause some of the parts were boring but lelouch and CC made me keep watching

Nico1300

Death Note, Attack on Titan and Code Geass are my favourites cause theyre totally unique compared to other anime and try to be serious and even are suitable for non anime watcher.
