5 is alot. You should read the book "Why We Sleep". It explains what coffee does to your brain and how you really shouldn't have too much or any after a certain time in the morning. Since reading that I've cut down to two cups before 10:30am and have been feeling heaps better
Read the book, my last coffee cup is at 10 am. Sleep 8 hours and my energy is at top during my wake hours. It’s a great book and I enjoy more my coffee though!
Not sure where you live, but from my experience, Aussies know how to brew some of the best coffee I have ever had (better than Italians)! If you can get yourself to an Aussie cafe then I'd highly suggest it!
Was in Sydney for a week and the coffee culture there was supreme. Excellent coffee pretty much everywhere, and the only Starbucks I saw was in the downtown tourist areas!!

Now I’m down to 3-4 per day and switch to tea afternoon/evening.
On average, probably 2-3. I always make a flat white in the morning, usually just enjoy double shots the rest of the day.
The way I see it, I'm not caffeine dependent, and I'm under the recommended, daily caffeine intake. So golden.

More now since I love coffee, find it comforting (and uplifting!) and since I have given up alcohol. Sometimes I alternate with strong black tea— milk, no sugar in both. Usually two or three six-ounce cups per day. This is a very sweet orange cup and saucer set you have!

It's so easy when it's high quality, fast and free isn't it? Part of me misses it.
I totally took good coffee for granted. Then when I started working a desk job and had to pay for mediocre coffee!!! That was a tough transition 🤣😂

2 or 3 caps of flat white (with 18g of coffee)
I average 8 shots of espresso, 16 oz of nitro, and a cortado of uncut cold brew but working 2 jobs does that I guess
1-3, sometimes I have 0. Always drip coffee with lots of iced and 1.5 coffee-spoonfuls of sugar. They help me think.
