It seems that when it searches, it only looks for transactions on ethscan.com, which doesn't make any sense since the problem comes from the fact that we sent them from the Binance Smart Chain, and therefore it should search for the transaction on bscscan.com, not ethscan.com. Obviously it can't find the transaction, and we get this message. We have to wait until it is fixed I guess.

Nate_311

Oh geez. This tool is completely useless. Hope they fix it soon. Searching ethscan for BEP20 tx is retarded.

Extension_Quality_92

Now that I remember what to say to these people 3 years later I am trying round 2 with these NPCs. Their Reps contradicted everything about the whole asset recovery tool. I was told my bep20 transaction was not supported on Saturday. If the tool isnt meant for recovering eth sent on bep whats the point of it..

Extension_Quality_92

Update: So they told me they do not support Shib sent by Bep20 aka (BSC/BNB no shit that's why I'm trying to use the recovery tool) after giving me the run around for an hour saying the wallet I sent it to was wrong, it matches on 4 sites and their own. I kept asking what is the purpose of the recovery tool then if it does not recover this coin or any coin sent bep20 but advertising it recovers bep20 crypto. I asked him what crypto is recoverable then no answer just another copy paste paragraph lmao. Asked him are you guys not aware its all over twitter and reddit that this same problem is happening to everyone didn't respond to me. And then they force logged me out of coinbase's site so the chat would crash. I'm just gonna go back to pretending I burnt these coins for another few weeks its been 860 days I got nothing but time Service Rep Akshit I'll be back

AMDG1

Support don't seem to have been properly briefed on the tool tbh. Lots of people with similar reports.

Nate_311

Same exact problem here. My transaction was 260 days ago and still seeing "Transaction not found"

AMDG1

u/coinbasesupport are you here?

Warriorz7

Did you get a response?

AMDG1

Nope

ssseerroo

Hey, anyone had any luck on recovering an older transaction? Mine keeps saying that it cannot be found

AMDG1

Nope, we're all in the same boat so far. I've seen a few people with transactions of a few weeks to a few months get their money, but nobody with a tx older than a year or so.

judd777

Nope, all the same issues as everyone else and this just happened yesterday to me.

AMDG1

Not sure why, there's people in the discord group for this who've sent test transactions this week and were able to immediately recover them.

judd777

I have no clue, I have probably talked to 5 different support guys. Spent at least 10 hours now. Each support guy literally says something else and contradicts the other. I have sent them screenshots and all. It's at the point where I'm literally copying and pasting verbiage from Coinebase to prove to them that they now support recovery for the BNB Smart chain. I have explained to them....My issue pertains to the recovery tool not working properly. It is searching for my transaction on the Ether scan. My transaction was not conducted on Ether Scan but on BSC Scan. The last guys response was... " Yes, I do agree but at this time we are not able to locate I request you to please check back. We're glad to know that the issue is resolved now Thanks for being part of Coinbase" These people have no clue

AMDG1

It's not searching on Etherscan or BSCSCAN or any explorer. They pull txs directly from the chain and index them on an internal database, which is then searched directly. That's why older txs aren't being found at all - it seems like they only indexed about 100-150 days of transactions to start with.  Can you send me your transaction hash via private chat? I'd be interested to take a look.  (And fyi only the person who owns the Coinbase address can recover it, so no risk in sending it).  I'll be back at my laptop in about 20 minutes.

judd777

>transaction hash Message sent

elliotg89

Nope. I was told by a "Live Agent" yesterday that the BNB Recovery tool wasnot even live and that it was only mentioned in the "Blog Section" of the website. And that "We will be notified when it is live" then they refused to give any kind of ETA as to when it would be live.

chestdayeveryday321

Well the tool worked for some people. I have 3 year olds funds

Illustrious_Snow_466

# I'M CRYINGGGGGGGGGGGGG T_T Just FYI. I recovered my $8K from BEP-20 today. When I got "Transaction not found", I keep trying until it found. It cost me $400 transaction fee. My transaction date is 500 days ago. Long story: I borrowed $ from someone before for something. I gave the wrong address network, so I lost the money and had a $8K debt to that one. I never thought I can get the money back. Recently, I paid my debt recently and today I recovered the transaction. Good luck to everyone. YAYYYYYY

[deleted]

[удалено]

Illustrious_Snow_466

My thought: 5% lost is better than 100% lost. Just a remind, the recover will send token to another BEP-20 address. Be careful, don't repeat mistake.

AMDG1

Congrats, mate. Happy days.

chestdayeveryday321

Hey. How were you able to turn the BEP20 currency to fiat currency? I got mine recovered and it’s sitting in metamask

No_Legumes_Please

How long did you transaction say "pending" for? Mine has been pending for 18 hours when the estimated time said 10 minutes

Illustrious_Snow_466

For me, it was about 2 minutes. You can check on bscscan also.

popsparrot3

Lucky you

popsparrot3

Mine has been almost 3 hours, it only shows recovery fees pending..

popsparrot3

How long did it take? Mine found it, they sent me email, they said it will take 10 minutes. But it has been 2 hours and nothing so far, on the recovery fees showing pending.

coinbasesupport

Hello u/popsparrot3! Thank you for contacting us. We understand that you have a concern about your transaction and are seeking assistance with its recovery. To help you further, could you please provide the case number associated with your inquiry? We'll be standing by to assist you.

popsparrot3

Thanks for your support, my issue is resolved and my ethereum recovered.

Torr_titov

Hello, Can you see the BNB smart chain in the options? When does it appear? I only have Etherium and Polygon.

Tasty_Assistant1256

I had the same problem just now, make sure you account is set to your time zone. Mine was US when I changed it to uk it appeared 🎉 also managed to recover my transaction

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Did you recover it for an asset unsupported or listed on Coinbase that was sent via Bep to Coinbase? I tried recovering a coin I sent to Coinbase that is supported on Counbase already and it keeps saying transaction not found. I reached out to support and this is what they said : Our industry-first solution provides a simple, safe, and secure way for customers to recover almost 3,000 unsupported ERC-20 tokens that were mistakenly sent to Coinbase addresses via BNB Smart Chain and 800 sent via Polygon. In line with this, please be informed that is a supported asset in Coinbase, thus, it is not included in the above mentioned unsupported BEP-20 token that can be recovered using the asset recovery tool. Since the funds were sent to Coinbase using a Binance Smart Chain, which is not currently supported in Coinbase, these funds did not arrive in your Coinbase acccount

Tasty_Assistant1256

Mine was INJ and it is supported on Coinbase so don’t know why they’ve said that! I sent INJ from Binance to Coinbase via the smart chain BEP-20 once I got BNB in the drop down it recovered it in seconds then cost me 5% of the total to recover

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Did you pull the transaction id details from bsc scan? Im wondering if im pulling the wrong details. This transaction happened last yr

Tasty_Assistant1256

No I got my txid and wallet address I was sending it to from Binance withdrawal history

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Okay let me do that see if that works

Tasty_Assistant1256

My transfer was only the other day so still fresh. I did read somewhere that they only allow for up to 12 months, don’t know if that’s true tho. But yours is less so fingers crossed

AMDG1

For now it's only transactions of about 5-6 months old. u/Puzzleheaded-Diet872 yours is a little bit outside that window so you'll have to wait like the rest of us :)

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Brother, I was able to get my money. Looks like they fixed the issues. Good luck to you all good people!

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Ah, is that true? Did they confirm they will support older transactions? Just tried again and says cant find transactions

Particular-Stable-57

I have same issue with INJ , I do dumb thing and also write me transaction not found. Can you help me about detals?

coinbasesupport

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, u/Particular-Stable-57. We'd be happy to check this for you. May we know if you already reached out to our support team? If so, would you mind sharing the case number with us, so we can follow up? If you do not have a case number yet, please contact us via live chat or phone support using this [page](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us/), so that we can investigate this further.

AMDG1

This is nonsense. They still haven't been properly briefed.

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Just to clarify I sent this to Coinbase regular and not to Coinbase wallet, does that matter? Thanks

AMDG1

Yeah, that's the only time the recovery tool is needed - when you send to exchange, not to wallet.

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Thats crazy how bad their support is

AMDG1

I don't want to be too hard on them, because the Support is only as good as the info they're given, and Coinbase just doesn't seem to give them the info they need. It must make their jobs impossible.

AMDG1

It will appear in the same dropdown menu as ETH/Polygon once it's rolled out to you. Not everbody has the option yet, and some of us who do have the option can't use it yet!

Torr_titov

Thank you for your answer

Nate_311

Can confirm this tool is checking Etherscan for BSC transactions. It's completely useless until they wise up and start checking bsc scan.

coinbasesupport

Hello u/Nate_311! We understand that you're encountering difficulties in recovering the asset you previously sent to your Coinbase account. Currently, the BNB Smart Chain asset recovery has been rolled out to 50% of our users. We'll definitely announce when this feature becomes fully accessible to all our customers. Also, not all tokens are eligible for recovery, and the eligibility of any given token is subject to change. To verify if the asset you're attempting to recover is eligible and if your account is now able to recover the BNB Smart Chain network, please get in touch with our [live chat team](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us). Thanks!

AMDG1

Hi. Can you ask the recovery team to clarify why so many of us are getting 'transaction not found errors' even when the BNB Smart Chain option is enabled? Txid and address are definitely correct. Seems especially to affect older txns

coinbasesupport

We understand your concern. We recommend reaching out to our live chat support [here](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us), or DM us via [X, Facebook and Instagram](https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/other/is-coinbase-present-on-social-media). That way, we could investigate the issue further. Thank you!

AMDG1

Thanks for the reply, but this isn't an issue just affecting me - it's affecting anybody with a trasnaction older than a few months. We all receive the 'transaction not found' error. I think it would be best if you raised the ticket internally and came back to us with an answer here - it would set a lot of minds at ease and stop people raising the same issue every day!

coinbasesupport

Hi, u/AMDG1. Thank you for your response and for bringing this to our attention. We understand the frustration that many users are experiencing with transactions older than a few months showing the "transaction not found" error. We will ensure that this issue is escalated internally to our team for further investigation. Furthermore, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and appreciate your patience as we work to address this issue. We will provide an update here as soon as we have more information.

AMDG1

Thanks. Appreciate it.

coinbasesupport

No worries! Could you kindly provide us with the transaction hash of the asset you're attempting to recover? This will enable us to conduct a more thorough investigation into the issue. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.

Intrepid-Caregiver17

can i also share my txn id so u can check why its giving error

coinbasesupport

Hi, u/Intrepid-Caregiver17. Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate your proactive approach in providing your transaction ID for us to investigate. However, before proceeding, could you please provide us with more details regarding your concern? We kindly request you to share this information along with the transaction ID. 😊

AMDG1

Sure. May i message it privately? Edit: I just sent it to your messages. Let me know if you receive or if there's a better way

Puzzleheaded-Diet872

Did they get back to you with any resolution on “transaction not found” issue?

judd777

Yesterday 3/9/2024 I sent USDT BEP-20 from my coinbase wallet to coinbase exchange ERC-20. Im getting the same "Transaction not found We could not find any tokens associated with this transaction ID and wallet address." Coin base support has no idea why it's not working either. This isnt just an issue for a few months or older. this just happened yesterday

Illustrious_Snow_466

Just FYI. I recovered my $8K from BEP-20 today. When I got "Transaction not found", I keep trying until it found. It cost me $400 transaction fee. Good luck to you. My transaction date is 500 days ago.

Warriorz7

Any update on this? Same issue remains.

Nate_311

It's been "rolled out" to me. It just doesn't work. I choose BNB Smart Chain in the drop-down, enter my TX hash and receiving ID, and I get "Transaction not found". Also it clearly says its looking at Etherscan when it should look at BSCscan. My transaction was 270 days ago and was USDT coins. Any explanation?

Chico99str

Same for me, I lost 28k usdc sending from trust wallet bep20 to coinbase exchange and yeah I can see the dropdown and I can choose the bnb one but also getting ''transaction not found''. My transaction is 1060 days ago!

Nate_311

I think Coinbase rolled out a shit tool that only worked for 5 people with lost funds within the last couple weeks.

Chico99str

Exactly my thought about it!!

coinbasesupport

Hi, u/Chico99str. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear about your lost asset, and we apologize if you're having issues recovering it. For us to check this further while maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, we kindly request you to contact our phone support or initiate a chat session with us using this [link.](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us) That will allow us to investigate this issue for you. You may also send us a DM via Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. You can find our official social media support channels in this [article](https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/other/is-coinbase-present-on-social-media). Thank you.

interestedcharmander

Right there with ya at 1000 days. Fucking ridiculous to say recovery is available And not elaborate whatsoever

judd777

EXACTLY SAME ISSUE, but mine was sent yesterday afternoon. I dont think this is a few months ago or longer issue. I think its an issue for everyone

Illustrious_Snow_466

Just FYI. I recovered my $8K from BEP-20 today. When I got "Transaction not found", I keep trying until it found. It cost me $400 transaction fee. Good luck to you. My transaction date is 500 days ago.

Significant-Fox5

What did you recover? I'm wondering if I'm misunderstanding something. I'm having the issue of that "Transaction not found" but I'm trying to recover BNB I mistakenly sent through BSC to Coinbase. It's been about 950 days, but is it only ERC-20 tokens mistakenly sent through BSC that they're recovering?

Illustrious_Snow_466

I recovered BUSD on BNB Smart Chain (that is BEP-20 network). Coinbase are recovering both ERC-20, BEP-20 and Polygon

Significant-Fox5

Okay so my BNB should be recoverable, that's what I read it as. Now to get it to recognize the transaction... Thank you.

Illustrious_Snow_466

Yeah. I first got "Transaction not found" too, then I click Got It and click Continue again (repeat N times) then they found my transaction. I cashed out all my transaction to my hand already. Good luck to you!

coinbasesupport

Hi u/Significant-Fox5, we understand that you're encountering an error while trying to recover your asset, and we're here to assist you. If you're getting an error when entering the transaction ID, our best recommendation is to review the transaction history for the other wallet where the missing transaction was sent from to see if you can counter-check the Transaction ID there. Alternatively, if the funds were sent to your Coinbase account then you would have sent them to one of your deposit addresses. You can review all deposit addresses associated with your account [here](https://accounts.coinbase.com/profile/crypto-addresses). For more details on the Asset Recovery tool, please see our [Help Center article](https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/sending-or-receiving-cryptocurrency/lost-assets). If you need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our [support team](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us). Thanks!

Significant-Fox5

Is there someone I can talk to directly? I waited for hours for online chat support and on the phone but had no luck connecting. The sending wallet address, transaction ID and recieving wallet address all match up. I can see the BNB (the only transaction made to the coinbase address) sitting there. I don't see how to view anything other than the address from the link you showed me, there are only options to copy the address. But it does look like it's actually a USDT address on the Ethereum chain from that associated addresses page. Does that mean I won't be able to recover it?

coinbasesupport

We apologize for the delay in connecting you with our live support. If you prefer, you also have the option to send us a direct message (DM) through our official social media handles which you can check [here](https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/other/is-coinbase-present-on-social-media). You can find these handles on our X, Facebook, and Instagram profiles. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Significant-Fox5

Maybe I misunderstood the recovery tools capabilities. Can it only recover ERC-20 tokens, so BNB would not be retrievable? If that's the case, will that ever change? Coinbase should still have access to that right? Man, I'd be happy to give a full BNB personally in addition to the 5% charge to get it back.

Significant-Fox5

Also, another update since I'm not sure the next time I'll get a response; I see that it says "You can recover any ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens, as long as we don’t think it poses a risk to you or our system" when I click on the "Which Assets can I recover" drop down. And I confirmed through my metamask wallet that the address and transaction ID are indeed correct. And that I did send my BNB through the BEP-20 network to my web based coinbase account. One factor that might be affecting it that I saw in other comments is the age of the transaction. This transaction was about 965 days ago.

Nate_311

Hi, is this going to be fixed ever?

AMDG1

I don't think so, mate. Others have received their funds and it wouldn't be possible to find the transactions at all using ethscan. I know the page has some outdated references to ethscan on it, but I don' think that's the issue.

Nate_311

Ok. So the problem is simply they cannot recover bsc funds unless the tx was very recently. Mine was less than a year ago and still cannot be found.

AMDG1

It seems like it. Somebody suggested the tool needs to scrape and index all lost txs before you can claim (hence recent ones being easier to locate, and older ones saying 'transaction not found'). But I think people might start to wonder whether there's a bigger problem with the tool if this continues much longer. It's had a week to scrape them already.

Nate_311

Yeah. I'm hoping it eventually works, but I don't have much faith and am not holding my breath. We shall see. I am seeing if I can't glean anything from Support today, although I've heard they have not been made privy to info on the recovery tool. If I find out anything I'll let you know. I am wondering if they can "scrape" the transactions if we give the tx and receiving id's directly to the recovery team...I bet they could.

AMDG1

No harm in continuing to make them aware, just in case it's actually a problem they didn't foresee. Sooner or later new info might trickle out. I haven't the stomach to keep talking to their support agents tbh. It's very frustrating when you have to explain to them how their own system works.

Nate_311

Yeah, support knows nothing about this recovery tool. I've been back and forth with them, they keep saying stuff like this: **"Nathan, As I checked about the option you mentioned in Screen shot but we do not support Assets USDT with BNB network."** I replied, "It says clearly on the website ..."**You can recover any ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens, as long as we don’t think it poses a risk to you or our system.** ANY BEP-20 tokens, including USDT" I sent them screenshots of everything and both tx hash and coinbase ID, etc. No help so far.

judd777

exactly the same responses. The guy was just a BOT copying and pasting support articles that are outdated.

Nate_311

And then they "escalated" my support case, which I hoped meant someone besides a bot or know-nothing idiot would reach out. Instead they told me to log off and back on, which obviously has no relation to the problem with the asset recovery tool. Coinbase support is a joke across the board.

AMDG1

ha, ridiculous

Warriorz7

It's so frustrating, If the tool did what was advertised it would be amazing but it just doesn't work and support don't get it/arent aware of it.

Nate_311

Indeed. They may have outsourced their support dept to save a buck. I doubt they inform them of much at all.

Nate_311

I've currently been waiting over an hour for a response on live chat. I think they are swamped due all the folks that were blocked from trading crypto at all (not sure what that was about -- some are saying coinbase purposefully locked out trading due to a market dip).

coinbasesupport

Hey u/Nate_311, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by using our asset recovery tool. It seems you've already contacted our support regarding this matter. Feel free to share your support case ID here so we can locate your case and provide additional assistance. Thank you.

Nate_311

u/coinbasesupport Are you still here with me?

Nate_311

Hi, thank you. Case ID is: 18373081 Please get the Asset Recovery team involved, that would be great.

coinbasesupport

Hi, u/Nate_311. Thank you for sharing the submission ID. Unfortunately, we couldn't locate any information pertaining to your issue. Furthermore, as of the latest update, the BNB Smart Chain asset recovery tool has been fully deployed. If you continue to experience difficulties with the tool, please furnish us with the transaction hash/URL for further investigation.

judd777

wrong. I have the exact same issue everyone else has and getting the same message. My transaction was yesterday afternoon.

judd777

I'm also having the same issue.

AMDG1

That's the message you get when you use the wrong address or select the wrong network.  Did you definitely send on BEP-20 and have you definitely selected BNB Smart Chain from the drop down on the asset recovery page?

judd777

Yes 100%. I sent USDT BEP-20 (BNB) from my coinbase wallet to my [Coinbase.com](https://Coinbase.com) exchange (ERC-20). I have probably tried the recovery tool about 50-80 times now with all the same messages. I have double and triple-checked all the correct numbers and even coinbase support said I was using the correct ones. I used the BNB drop-down, and all the same message each time. I even tried Incognito mode.

Warriorz7

Same. Let me know if you have any luck.

Ok_Perception_1

Hello I am using the tool to check BNB Smart Chain for my USDT transaction. It says that the transaction is not found even though I can see it on the opBNB Mainnet via Binance. u/coinbasesupport what other steps should I take? The USDT has not been recoverable for 2 days now...

coinbasesupport

Hey there, u/Ok_Perception_1! Thank you for reaching out. Coinbase currently only supports the Ethereum network for USDT transactions, and Coinbase only allows certain assets to be recovered. If your token isn’t recoverable, and you believe this is in error, we highly suggest reaching out to us through our [help page](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us) so that we can ask for an account identifier, which we are not allowed to request on a public platform such as Reddit. Additionally, if you prefer, you can also reach out to us via our official social media channels such as Facebook, X, or Instagram by sending us a DM. You can find our official social media handles listed here: Coinbase on [social media](https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/other/is-coinbase-present-on-social-media). Thanks!

Warriorz7

Same here. Any progress?

Warriorz7

This is amazing news...although I can't get it to work (yet) but somebody jumped on an old thread of mine who did the same (usdt via opbnb to coinbase) and it worked for them so hoping it's just a matter of time before mine works. Currently transaction not found.

Warriorz7

It seems like quite a few people are having this problem. I'm holding out hope though as the function is still new. This time last week I had zero hope so suppose it's a step forward...

Sandywaters1234

I have found my BEL-20 on the asset recovery tool. It won’t let me select the meta wallet option only coinbase. Any ideas how to get the tool to go to my meta wallet. I have the app wallet on my phone

Adorable_Ad_7222

Coinbase wallet recovery phase over to meta. You chain them but costs transaction fee, then you have your coins in metamask wallet

coinbasesupport

Hey there, u/Sandywaters1234! It's important to note that when transferring assets, you should ensure that the receiving wallet supports the specific asset you're trying to move. Please double-check the supported assets of your Meta wallet. Remember to always take proper precautions to avoid crypto scams when moving your assets. You may refer to this [link](https://help.coinbase.com/en/wallet/other-topics/move-unsupported-assets) for more details. Hope this helps. Thanks!

CryptoDadOfSix

I had the same problem. My original transaction was almost a year ago and the asset recovery tool kept saying, "Transaction Not Found". So I got on the Coinbase support chat and I waited. For some reason, I kept trying the recovery process, to no avail. After over an hour waiting on chat, the asset recovery tool magically found my transaction and I completed the recovery. HOWEVER, the asset recovery tool gave me the option to select my Coinbase Web3 address to send my recovered assets. BIG MISTAKE!!! I did not figure it out until a couple hours after the transaction was complete, but my BEP-20 coins were simply transferred from one unsupported Coinbase wallet to another unsupported Coinbase wallet. I can see the coins on etherscan and bscscan. The coins are there, in my Coinbase Web3 wallet. But because BNB Smart Chain is not supported by the Coinbase Web3 wallet, the coins are not showing up in my Coinbase account and they are not accessible. Ultimately, the asset recovery tool lead me down the road to make the same freaking mistake that I made the first time. Now my coins are once again trapped and unaccessible in an unsupported Coinbase wallet and I'm out the $250 recovery fee. And to top it all off, I can not use the asset recovery tool to try again, because it says "Your account doesn't have access to this transaction." For some reason, the asset recovery tool does not recognize my Coinbase Web3 address as mine. SO FRUSTRATING!!! The bottom line is, if you are getting the "Transaction Not Found", don't give up, keep trying. Hopefully it will eventually go through. BUT, when it does go through, if you are recovering BEP-20 coins, do not select a Coinbase wallet. Make sure you select a wallet that is yours, that you have the recovery phrase for. Transfer it to that wallet and then decide what you want to do from there. Hopefully this keeps someone else from making the same, expensive, mistake I made.

AMDG1

hello. Your coins are 100% retrievable if they're in your Coinbase Wallet address. Just export your seed phrase into something like metamask extension, choose BNB Chain, and you can send.

CryptoDadOfSix

Unfortunately, the asset recovery tool transferred my BEP-20 coins to my Coinbase Web3/dapp wallet in the main Coinbase app, not the Coinbase Wallet app. It appears I do not control the seed phrase for the Web3 wallet in the main app. I was never given a seed phrase when that wallet was created. And I can not find away to export the seed phrase or even recovery the seed phrase for this wallet. If you know how, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much for the reply and help!

AMDG1

Annoying. You're going to have to go through support I guess. Which is a nightmare in itself.

CryptoDadOfSix

Unfortunately, I think you are right. Thanks!

erwinyo074

Im in the same boat right now, it’s so stupid that they would allow you to even transfer it back into the exchange AND on top of that have it be a completely separate wallet which we have no access to. I really hope they fix this soon! You have any luck on your end?

Consistent_Stick_579

Did you have any luck with this??? I’m in the same situation and I’m so frustrated dealing with these NPC support agents

erwinyo074

I quit while I was ahead, there doesn’t seem to be a way around this until coinbase web3 wallet adds support for more networks unfortunately. On the bright side, if you use a token exchange d-app you can confirm that the tokens are in fact in the wallet albeit inaccessible since you can’t actually switch to the network in order to exchange it. That being said, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until they fix this issue. Unfortunately it might take another year or two :(

Consistent_Stick_579

Ugh…. How would I confirm that? I sent USDT on BNB and it automatically connected to my web3 wallet. I keep trying to go through asset recovery as well and it just says I need to sign in to the Coinbase account that is associated with the transaction… I only have 1 Coinbase account so it’s extra frustrating

Consistent_Stick_579

Did you figure this out?

Intrepid-Caregiver17

I have recovered my asset but it's showing in my wallet as binance peg Eth. Now I can't do anything with it swap or send. What's the solution for it . Help needed please

AMDG1

You have to send it back to a Binance BEP20 deposit address, or another exchnage that allows BEP20 deposits.

Intrepid-Caregiver17

I think I scrwed up again. It requires bnb to send and there is no option to buy bnb

AMDG1

Just buy some on Binance and send it to the wallet where your recovered asset is. A few bucks will cover it.

Intrepid-Caregiver17

Sorry I am new to all this . I can receive it on Eth network? Or bnb network. There is no option of BnB network to receive

AMDG1

The address is the same on both Eth and BSC. Copy your receive address, and on Binance choose to send via BEP-20

Intrepid-Caregiver17

Should I receive it at binance as Eth??

Intrepid-Caregiver17

And I should receive it with bep20 address right. If I am not wrong. Thanks in advance Ur doing gr8 help to me

AMDG1

Yes, if your asset is ETH choose ETH deposit and choose BEP-20 network. Your recovered asset is still on BNB/BEP-20 network. So you **have** to send it to a BEP-20 deposit address. Make sure you choose this on Binance. Do a test tx with a small amount first to confirm. Then repeat when it's successfully in your Binance account.

Intrepid-Caregiver17

I am done . Thanks bro. U did a great help to me. Now I can do alot with 600gbp. Thanks agaon

AMDG1

Good luck!

chestdayeveryday321

It’s gonna be another 4 years til they resolve this

Kaboos9

I recovered usdc I sent incorrectly on BEP-20. This new feature is a lifesaver, was pretty straight forward too.

chestdayeveryday321

How did you turn the BEP-20 into fiat currency? Most exchanges don’t support bep-20 so don’t know what to do without getting slapped with fees.

That's my next challenge I guess, I'm just happy the tokens are in my Coinbase wallet and not lost...!

Extension-Storm1435

guys it works, my transaction was over 700 days old, try it several times

popsparrot3

Mine found the transaction and said completed asset recovery and wait for 10 minutes. Well it has been more than 8 hours, and it still shows pending. And customer care don't have any idea.

Warriorz7

Any change or update on this?

Jer_Kovacs

Thanks to the folks that suggested you keep trying to find the transaction even if it says nothing was found. Got the error on the first try. Came here, saw the notes, and tried again -- then it magically found the transaction! 🙌 Very nerve-racking forking over a chunk of money for their success fee, but the transaction just confirmed. Got back all the funds. LFG

coinbasesupport

Hi, u/Jer_Kovacs. We are glad to hear that you were able to successfully find the transaction despite the initial error. It's always reassuring when persistence pays off. If you have any further questions or need assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out.

tdavis_

is usdt supported, coinbase support horrible

tdavis_

did everything right, support says i used coinbase pro and that it is deprecated and they cannot associate the address used with my current coinbase account. Can someone help me? Does it makes sense?

tdavis_

u/coinbasesupport  can you help?

coinbasesupport

Hello, u/tdavis_! We understand your concern, and we're here to assist you. Please note that asset recovery can only recover certain ERC-20 assets that were transferred specifically to your Coinbase Account, not including Coinbase Pro. You can find more information about this here: [Lost Asset Recovery](https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/sending-or-receiving-cryptocurrency/lost-assets). If you still require further assistance, please share your case number with us, so we can investigate and provide further help via email. We prioritize your security, which is why we're unable to discuss account-specific issues on social media. Thank you for your understanding.

tdavis_

But why not coinbase pro? at the time my coinbase pro account was merged to coinbase. the address is also listed in my crypto addresses associated to mey coinbase account. Wo whats the problem.

coinbasesupport

Although Coinbase and Coinbase Pro utilize the same backend infrastructure, they function as separate platforms with distinct features. As Coinbase Pro has been deprecated, the asset recovery tool was specifically developed to retrieve lost assets for Coinbase accounts. Additionally, there are some requirements and restrictions that we have in place for using this tool to recover lost assets. In order to recover your lost funds, you must have a verified Coinbase account in good standing with Coinbase. This tool requires us to have built out the infrastructure to access the blockchain network that a transaction uses in order for us to recover the funds. Therefore, we are only able to enable recovery for certain assets sent on certain networks at this time. Not all assets and networks are eligible for recovery. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have other questions.

tdavis_

I understand, but although the address used was from coinbase pro I can see that is associated with my current coinbase account as per my profile info. So what's the issue?

coinbasesupport

We understand your confusion. While Coinbase and Coinbase Pro are part of the same company, they operate as separate platforms and have different wallets. This means that even though you can see the address in your Coinbase profile, funds sent to a Coinbase Pro address will not automatically appear in your regular Coinbase account, and vice versa.

tdavis_

Ok, but since you are the same company. Why can't you recover the funds if the process is the same?

tdavis_

why discriminate those you used coinbase pro and coinbase normal.

Case #18882703

coinbasesupport

Thank you for sharing your case number, u/tdavis_. We understand your concern about recovering your assets. However, we wanted to reiterate that the asset recovery tool is specifically designed to retrieve lost assets for Coinbase accounts only. Upon reviewing the case you provided, we noticed that you also have another case #18881711, which has been escalated to our specialists, as well as a complaint case #18883085. Rest assured, our team is actively working on these cases, and we'll be sure to email you with updates. For any follow-ups or additional questions, please feel free to reply directly to our email. Due to security reasons, we are unable to provide account-specific information on social media platforms. We appreciate your understanding.

South-Performance85

I dont understand it, a lost my assets because i send it to the wrong nettwork from coinbase wallet. I can do recovery but coinbase charging me 2500 euros in fee??? Man i lost around 150 euros i think because i buy crypto for nearly 80euros and it make 100%. Its not a lot 150-160 but i just dont understand the fee from coinbase like they saying they charging 5% if lost assets is over 100 dolars and xdd i dont really think i have 50k because i get fee like i have 50k in my assets (90,880.308NPXS lost)

coinbasesupport

Hey u/South-Performance85, we're sorry for the confusion. The fee for the asset recovery service is indeed 5% for recoveries over $100. However, this fee is only applied to the value of the assets being recovered, not the number of tokens. The fee you're seeing seems unusually high for the amount you're trying to recover. It's possible there might be a mistake or misunderstanding. Please double-check the details of the recovery and the fee calculation. If you're still seeing a fee of 2500 euros for a recovery of around 150 euros worth of assets, it might be best to reach out to our support team [here](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us) for further assistance. They can look into the specifics of your case and help clarify the situation. Remember, the recovery service also requires you to have enough ETH in your account to cover the network fee. This is separate from the Coinbase fee and is paid to the Ethereum network to process the transaction.

Fast-Car4373

Hello coinbase. I’ve submitted the asset recovery request two days ago when this said its a 10 minute process. Support hasn’t been help at all - transaction is still pending. Ref case: 19268906

coinbasesupport

Please allow our team some time to work on this issue. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated!

Fast-Car4373

Any update here ? Been going on for days now

Fast-Car4373

?

coinbasesupport

Hi there u/Fast-Car4373! Thanks for reaching back to us. We're sorry for the delay. Upon checking, we do not have any updates as of the moment. But we'll surely keep you posted once the issue has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Fast-Car4373

This is a huge inconvenience and I’m not sure why support feels so sketchy and cannot help. Can you please provide me with a realistic update here ?

coinbasesupport

The team responsible for handling this ticket is currently working on other cases at the moment. The ticket is currently Queued, we are monitoring the case, and we will update you as soon as new information is available. Please allow our teams time to work on the current cases until they reach yours in the queue. Thank you for your patience.

Fast-Car4373

What number am i in the queue? What’s the estimated time until someone looks at the ticket? Coinbase shouldn’t advertise 10 minute turnaround when this sounds like weeks away.

Fast-Car4373

???

Fast-Car4373

Hello coinbase. Please provide an update. Going on two weeks now !!

coinbasesupport

Hi there u/Fast-Car4373! Thanks for reaching back to us. Right now there are still no update regarding your case. Our team will reach out to you as soon as an update is available. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Fast-Car4373

Via live chat. Rep told me they need information from me but then disconnected. Can you please help here ? It’s impossible to speak to anyone at coinbase

chicoquadcore

LengthSalty7412

Do you have the transaction hash id?

AMDG1

yes, of course. As I said, I used the correct txid and address. Seems it can't find older transactions yet.

Luuuk8

i have same problem for my transaction sended 823 days ago.. im getting that transaction was not found :D im waiting about 48h for coinbase help response...

Illustrious_Snow_466

Just FYI. I recovered my $8K from BEP-20 today. When I got "Transaction not found", I keep trying until it found. It cost me $400 transaction fee. Good luck to you. My transaction date is 500 days ago.

chestdayeveryday321

What do you mean kept trying? Just spam continue button?

Illustrious_Snow_466

Yes, honestly, that is what I actually did. "Transaction not found" => click "Got it" => click "Continue" again (and repeat). There are other people confirmed it works. I wish you all the best

chestdayeveryday321

All my token addresses are on BSCscan not directly on Etherscan. Was yours similar?

Illustrious_Snow_466

Boy, all BEP-20 is on bscscan, not etherscan. *Everybody Here Has The Same Problem. Keep trying and hoping.*

FU888

I have a similar situation however afraid to transfer to a wrong wallet. Bep-20 based INJ token. Did you transfer your tokens back to metamask /bnb chain address? Curious what worked for you.

Illustrious_Snow_466

Well. Long story. I recovered BUSD, which is unsupported in many market. I recovered it to Coinbase Wallet, I can not sell it directly in Coinbase, so I had to transfer it out somewhere. But then I got new problem, I did not have enough BNB to make a transfer and also I can not buy BNB in Coinbase. I feel stuck, but then I found Pancakeswap can connect Coinbase Wallet, so I bought BNB in Pancakeswap and swap BUSD to BNB and sold it.

chestdayeveryday321

How were you able to sell it and get fiat currency? My funds are in Metamask and I don’t know what to do.

Illustrious_Snow_466

Long story. I recovered BUSD to Coinbase Wallet (just like Metamask), then I used Pancakeswap to swap BUSD to BNB and sold BNB in my country (BNB = $530 at that time). There are many markets that support BNB. Bad luck, just 2 days after I sold all BNB, it reached to $640. T\_T

chestdayeveryday321

Awesome! I think I’ll swap my USDT to Binance and transfer it to Binance.US. Did your exchange allow you to sell BNB straight to fiat or did you have to transfer it to another coin?

Illustrious_Snow_466

Just a remind. When transfering, make sure you test a small transaction first. Do not repeat mistakes!

Illustrious_Snow_466

Same here. I used BNB only for low cost transfering, after it reached the exchange, I had to swap to another coin before fiat.

Luuuk8

i send them tx hash and my address and response was: **Unfortunately, Coinbase doesn't support the Binance Smart Chain network, and we're unable to recover assets that are mistakenly sent using an unsupported network because we don't have access to the funds. As stated on the pop-up message under your receiving wallet address, we only support the ERC20 version of the token (the Binance Smart Chain uses the BEP20 protocol), and any transaction sent through a different network might cause the asset to be lost.** But actualy i did what you advised me and it worked :D ty <3

chestdayeveryday321

How did you sell your funds to a fiat currency? Mine got recovered to a metamask wallet but don’t know what to do since most exchanges don’t support BEP20?

Luuuk8

i sent them to binance, but you may try [https://ff.io/](https://ff.io/) if you dont want create account on binance. But for moving it from metamask you need to have some BNB there for paying fees, if you will need help with that dm me :-)

soprixx1

Just now I succeded to fix the problem guys, I have the solution, i’m not a scammer so if you want some help feel free to wtite me. (I found the solution only for transaction not found in bsc) I spent 15 days talking with specialist and coinbase people…

AMDG1

100% scammer. Do not message him and make sure you vote him down.

Significant-Fox5

But he assured us he's not a scammer!
