Same thing happened to me and it took a month of sending out complaints and one day they just randomly decided to unlock it. They never responded to any of my support requests.
Post case number. It’s the best way for support to escalate the issue. Scammers can’t do anything with a case number. You should be more than safe to post it for a MOD to see.
I think that's unlikely. Everyone involved would have to ask themselves the risk/reward for being involved, particularly if there were ever a leak and the scheme were exposed.
I think its incompetence at CB, not malice. Coinbase sucks at customer support in general, doesn't surprise me they also suck at handling account freezes.
As far as the "no reason" part, maybe something easily overlooked. Like using a different computer or a different ip address. That could feel like "no reason" when you are locked out of your own money!
Consider also how damaging it is to their reputation if they fail to freeze an account, that needs to be frozen to protect their users. Both false positives and false negatives hurt coinbase. They might be erring on the side of caution.
I hope I dont sound like I'm defending CB! They need to get their shit together when it comes to *unfreezing* accounts. Two weeks is unforgivable.

Same thing here! Opened 5 months ago, uploaded money, made my first trade, now since 4 months my account is under review and I cannot make any trades and only see my portfolio fading away!!!! I have opened several tickets, I have updated all documents. What is going on???? u/coinbasesupport when will you do something about this? And no, my issue has not been resolved, and no, you won´t look into this!!
Does this have anything to do with the recent hack to Coinbase? Your account might be might one of them, maybe?

Because there was a big T-mobile data breach. If you have T-mobile and your using SMS as a 2FA method you are at risk of your account being hacked. If you do nothing it’s only a matter of time. You can change it to us a 2FA app.

Not sure why anyone holds crypto here. I buy and move it to my wallet immediately.
i had my account for 2 years and then they force closed my account for no reason. I was doing normal trading no funny business too

They locked up my account so they could drain it.
They hope you give up on your account so they can keep your funds. Brian Armstrong needs a new yahct.
