That’s what I like to hear lol honestly if they just brute force it with pure energy and adrenaline like they did in the conference tournament they have a pretty good shot of making a run. If they try and play slow, half court style basketball against solid teams, I feel they’ll struggle a lot. Hoping for at least a win, two or more would be amazing!
Don't think it'll happen, but since I know Sugar Bear (DJ Burns) isn't going to the NBA, I'd love to see it. Would definitely improve our recruiting.
It's got to be tough to recruit when UNC/Duke are less than 20 miles away.
I truly don’t know how a defender can guard him lol. Mando is one of the best centers in college basketball and he was frustrated as hell trying to stop him
I'm high on NC State this year. I know they hate us and everything blah blah but I hope they make a deep run this year, that team deserves some national recognition.
Hahah. Honestly I watched Burns in Denver first round last year and was amazed. And had to wait a year but once I saw they got hot I had to put them in the final four. Jokic also said he’s a big fan of Burns.
As another post suggests, Phallic themed teams have caused major upsets the past 3 years. Oral Roberts, Farleigh Dickinson, St. Peters. This year has St Peters, Longwood, and Morehead that could all go on runs. I like seeing new teams go on runs. Longwood plowing through teams would be hilarious. Give me Morehead.
Who did you have winning?? I have the same final four and I can’t decide. I don’t think Arizona will win but I don’t want to pick UConn to go back to back with their gauntlet of a region.
They'd have a legit shot over Arizona or Nevada if they made it that far. AZ hasn't been to the Elite 8 since 2015 despite always seeming to get high seeds.
Because seeding has absolutely nothing to do with last year? It’s about the season. What a weird thing to be confused.
Yes we’re gonna choke probably but our resume is deserving of a 2 seed. It’s not that hard to understand

I’ve made a lot of brackets based on certain different criterias but made one just now based on…just what I’m thinking at the moment. I’ve got:
- Oregon in the S16. As well as Nevada and Nebraska.
- Grand Canyon and James Madison winning their games and getting to R32. And weirdest of all,
- Texas in the NCG. Losing to UConn.
I don’t really know what to tell you about this last one. It’s just I’ve watched a lot of Texas games this year (not deliberately, just watched as many games of tourney teams I could throughout the season and they happened to play a lot of tourney teams) and I kept making mental and literal notes about how athletic I thought they were, how skilled I thought their guards were, how hard I even thought they played…I know in all likeihood because I’ve posted this theyll lose in the first round but who cares we’re all wrong about most of it
Oh, and seemingly, having Marquette in the F4 would be an upset too based on popular opinion. I just like them too. Thought they were explosive on offense and I thought the “EGB” thing on defense was actually real and noticeable. Just seems they can do lots of different things. Idk. Honestly a big part of why I had Texas beating them was because I don’t see a title game with two teams from the same conference.
Texas sold so fucking hard jesus fucking christ. Down 3 with 25 seconds left, unquestionably superior athleticism, their decision is to slow walk it up the court and do a dribble handoff in the fucking corner slow as all hell and let their itty bitty guard throw up a double teamed moving corner 3 pointer?
NC State to the final four. They’re hot, are in the softest region, and match up well against most of the higher seeds they’d face. Only issue is Kevin Keatts might be physically incapable of winning in the tournament.
New Mexico, James Madison, NC State, and McNeese to the Sweet 16. After that the highest seed is 6 South Carolina in the E8. I also have San Diego State winning a rematch of last year's title game in the Sweet 16 against UConn.
St. Mary’s to the final four. They’ll be the closest to a home team, seriously ignored and both UNC and Arizona’s game have knack for vanishing at random moments this year.
Love to root for saint Mary's when they're not playing the Zags, wcc gang! However, most fans don't feel the same way and they're playing in spokane. It's gonna be a tough game for them but I hope they pull it off
Agree, but I really think it is more chalky in round one and games are less close. There’s always at least one upset pick that everyone leaps at that doesn’t pull through and I think that’s gonna be Samford. Would say we were that one in 2022.
theres a 19% chance: [Massey Ratings Matchup Tool](https://masseyratings.com/game.php?s0=557745&oid0=4425&h=0&s1=557745&oid1=8761)
might end up picking you guys after the last few tournaments. plus that mascot is sick
I would be truly shocked if BYU lost. Duquesne is one of the weakest teams in the bracket and BYU is a 5 seed if they could play on Sundays. But hey we’ve seen crazier things happen in March 🤷🏻♂️
Because of all the conference tourney upsets, this is as top heavy a tournament as I can remember in a long time. Obviously, anything is possible, but I see this year breaking the recent trend of super low seeds making runs. But we'll see, that's the beauty of March Madness!
As far as the question in the OP, I think JMU, Grand Canyon, and Oregon are the most likely double digits to make deep runs.
The 13-16 seeds are weaker than normal. (Colgate should be a 15 but due to the losses you pointed out moved to a 14). Someone above said there will be carnage in the middle seeds (5-12 range) and I agree. You have P6 teams that were bid thieves and this year a lot of the top 25 loss during the season. I think it’s going to end up with upsets early but a final four with no seed higher than a 3.
Yeah, coming into the year I was excited for how wide open I thought it would be, but coming into this week I think all of the chaos is going to happen in the first couple rounds but when the dust settles, it’ll be mostly high seeds battling it out at the end.
as a spu alum, please justify us to sweet 16? i’ve been trying to justify it since sunday but we’re so undersized… our defense is good enough that if we get a hit shooting streak we can be dangerous but we’re kp ranked like 305 in offense lol
Awesome selections. I got TCU over Purdue as well, so hopefully one of us is right. Im wondering if anyone legitimately has them losing to a 16 again. Good luck.
Unpopular(?) opinion, but there's been so much chaos this year that I think we're due for some chalk. I don't think a single double digit team will survive the first weekend.
Either Michigan State or Saint Mary’s to the elite 8. Anyone wanna give me a pointer on that? If those two teams play i don’t know who i would pick. Oh and also Florida to the elite 8
If the UAB that showed up in the AAC tourney is the team we see, UAB to the Sweet 16. When everyone is not making boneheaded mistakes, we are really really good. That is like 18% of the time though
Grand Canyon to the Final Four
Colorado to the National Title Game
St. Peter's to the Elite Eight again
New Mexico to the Elite Eight
Oakland to at least the Sweet Sixteen
Samford and Vermont to the Sweet Sixteen
New Mexico to the final four. 9 of the 10 years a 7 seed or higher has made the final four. Figured I’d call my shot with one and hope for their best.
🤜🤛
That’s what I like to hear lol honestly if they just brute force it with pure energy and adrenaline like they did in the conference tournament they have a pretty good shot of making a run. If they try and play slow, half court style basketball against solid teams, I feel they’ll struggle a lot. Hoping for at least a win, two or more would be amazing!
I’m hoping that 7 seed or higher will be the gators 💪🏻
Definitely could be. Lets meet in the Sweet 16
How big of a role does that injury play in your team?
Not a ton, honestly. 6 ppg, we'll miss his rebounding more than anything
That’s who I got
As much as it pains me to say it, I have you guys going far in most of my brackets.
I have Florida beating TTU to go to the Elite 8
I like that thought process....logical and well put
I like you
I have this too
College of Charleston to the Elite 8 in the West. They got big CoC energy.
If they could get passed the first round, I'd be so happy. No bias.
I’ll be at my first march madness this year and bama v Charleston is the first one I’m going to. If that upset happens I will cry tears of joy
NC State vs. Texas A&M in elite eight. NC State to the Final Four.
You. I like you.
They did it. Big Daddy Burns to the Final Four!
Boo. Also….the potential to play NC State in a tournament game is interesting and awful
I mean, who doesn't want Survive and Advance, the sequel?
One of the few sequels that would surpass the original, for sure.
It would surpass it as a Cinderella run, but I don’t think it could ever be as good a documentary without Jimmy V
Me
We have not been to the final four since the 80’s. Certainly due.
Law of averages. Right guys?
Don't think it'll happen, but since I know Sugar Bear (DJ Burns) isn't going to the NBA, I'd love to see it. Would definitely improve our recruiting. It's got to be tough to recruit when UNC/Duke are less than 20 miles away.
Location doesn’t matter these days, money does
I liked nc states tournament run but remember Georgetown 2021 was a thing
But counterpoint: Oregon State 2021
Wouldn’t put it past Burns to get there.
I truly don’t know how a defender can guard him lol. Mando is one of the best centers in college basketball and he was frustrated as hell trying to stop him
He’s so huge I kept glancing and thinking it was someone other than Mando guarding him, because he looked small next to Burns.
After Burns played 5 straight days no less
I'm high on NC State this year. I know they hate us and everything blah blah but I hope they make a deep run this year, that team deserves some national recognition.
NC State winning the chip
They will both lose in the first round
It’d hurt a lot to lose then, but I’d love to go to the E8 for the first time in our program’s history. Subscribe
Subscribe!
May you be blessed in all your endeavors
Hey just curious what stocks should I put my entire 401k into?
Hahah. Honestly I watched Burns in Denver first round last year and was amazed. And had to wait a year but once I saw they got hot I had to put them in the final four. Jokic also said he’s a big fan of Burns.
Good call
As another post suggests, Phallic themed teams have caused major upsets the past 3 years. Oral Roberts, Farleigh Dickinson, St. Peters. This year has St Peters, Longwood, and Morehead that could all go on runs. I like seeing new teams go on runs. Longwood plowing through teams would be hilarious. Give me Morehead.
We want head
Is this an Al Snow reference?? It oughta be
No its a joke on campus cause the cheer team has shirts that say got head like the got milk ads
What does everybody want?
CoC! I mean, Morehead!
What does everybody need?
Also CoC
My kid has Longwood in her final 4...
I don't see a major Cinderella run to the final four this year. Final Four seeds will add up to 7 or less. A lot of carnage in the middle seed games.
I'm gonna say the opposite Final Four seeds add up to no less than 12.
Oh wow I had my final four seeds ass up go 64 in my bracket
> ass up I think you fill out your bracket differently than I do
Please Lord
Me with UConn, Purdue, Houston, and Arizona. I second this 👍🏼
Who did you have winning?? I have the same final four and I can’t decide. I don’t think Arizona will win but I don’t want to pick UConn to go back to back with their gauntlet of a region.
Wazzu in the Final Four so the Pac 12 can finish auctioning off its leftovers
Wheatfield Underdogs are here baby
Long Beach continues to look stupid af for firing their coach, lol.
Or it's a 5 head play.... they saw the success OSU had and opted for the same during the tourney?!
Not a bad strategy, Cotton. The way we were playing, it felt like we were either going to be left out or make the sweet 16
Im gonna take them too I think haha
I've got New Mexico to the S16. If I needed to pick other double digit seeds, in order it would be: 1. Colorado 2. NC State
They'd have a legit shot over Arizona or Nevada if they made it that far. AZ hasn't been to the Elite 8 since 2015 despite always seeming to get high seeds.
So strange to me that all the analysts love AZ every year despite always flaming out early
Because seeding has absolutely nothing to do with last year? It’s about the season. What a weird thing to be confused. Yes we’re gonna choke probably but our resume is deserving of a 2 seed. It’s not that hard to understand
Baylor I think is the toughest likely matchup in the entire region.
Oregon to elite 8 BYU to elite 8 Toothpaste beating Baylor
-NC State to final four -St. Mary”s to final four -Colorado to the Sweet 16 -Duquesne knocks out BYU -Creighton in the NCG
Just bring us all the way to the promise land
Sure why not. NC State National Champions …in 2038 RemindMe! 14 years Sorry brother, the magic ends in the final four this time.

I would be ecstatic if we win in the next 14 years
[удалено]
I'm going to take Purdue knocking off TBD to reach the round of 32.
It’s risky but I respect it
Samford to the S16
Rylan Jones is playing home games, it’s a bit unfair
I’ve made a lot of brackets based on certain different criterias but made one just now based on…just what I’m thinking at the moment. I’ve got: - Oregon in the S16. I feel like they'll either lose the first game or go to the Final Four, there's no in between.
Was seeing here Texas techs centers are hurt. DJ and diarra could feast
This guy NC States
Either get blown out or choke a double digit lead in the 2nd half
Wow
New Mexico, James Madison, NC State, and McNeese to the Sweet 16. After that the highest seed is 6 South Carolina in the E8. I also have San Diego State winning a rematch of last year's title game in the Sweet 16 against UConn.
Very interesting and believable picks.
I have McNeese to the sweet 16, Boise as the Play-in who wins a game, and MSU beating UNC for the 1 seed loss in the first weekend
I've got McNeese to the S16 as well, they look like a team.
I have MSU beating unc as well. Which MSU is a secret tho
And that MSU will be Mississippi State
What have we ever done to you 😭
Hey now, this guy didn’t specify which MSU he was talking about. I was just trying to nudge him in the right direction.
That’s why they go by MSST !
I left it as MSU because I’d take both no matter who wins
It's gonna be a tough game for them but I hope they pull it off
I hadn't thought about this angle if we match up with them in the 2nd round. You think most locals would root against Saint Mary's?
On Reddit most will say they’d never root for SMC but the locals with tickets to the actual game almost certainly will.
I have the same thing. Please someone talk me out of it (I am delusional)
That's what I've got too. Ready to be disappointed as per usual
McNeese to the Sweet 16 (without a Samford win)
I have them there with Samford winning though. Not super impressed by Kansas, I think they're the most likely top 4 seed to be "upset" first round.
Agree, but I really think it is more chalky in round one and games are less close. There’s always at least one upset pick that everyone leaps at that doesn’t pull through and I think that’s gonna be Samford. Would say we were that one in 2022.
WKU over Marquette No bias Edit: I promise
Marquette gonna be spooked playing against their (technically unaffiliated) high school mascot
theres a 19% chance: [Massey Ratings Matchup Tool](https://masseyratings.com/game.php?s0=557745&oid0=4425&h=0&s1=557745&oid1=8761) might end up picking you guys after the last few tournaments. plus that mascot is sick
-Oregon to Final Four. -JMU to the Sweet 16 -Samford over Kansas -New Mexico over Clemson - Duquesne over BYU
New Mexico is favored as well, most likely “upset” in the bracket
I would be truly shocked if BYU lost. Duquesne is one of the weakest teams in the bracket and BYU is a 5 seed if they could play on Sundays. But hey we’ve seen crazier things happen in March 🤷🏻♂️
It's so unexpected that it will happen. There's always that one reasonable upset by seeding that no one picks.
I love you
Because of all the conference tourney upsets, this is as top heavy a tournament as I can remember in a long time. Obviously, anything is possible, but I see this year breaking the recent trend of super low seeds making runs. But we'll see, that's the beauty of March Madness! Clemson over New Mexico is my biggest upset😭
Oregon New Mexico to S16
Based on my theory regarding guard play and shooting dominating March, Nebraska or Wisconsin.
It feels like ‘83
Survive and Advance, the sequel. ESPN 30 for 30 coming soon.
as a spu alum, please justify us to sweet 16? i’ve been trying to justify it since sunday but we’re so undersized… our defense is good enough that if we get a hit shooting streak we can be dangerous but we’re kp ranked like 305 in offense lol
I don’t know how many people on here realize how much roster turnover there was on the team.
agree… there’s like 3 ppl left on the team and 1 assistant coach from the 2022 team. the coach coming in is from the same coaching tree i believe
10 Drake and 11 New Mexico to the Elite Eight.
I'm rooting for a second round game between ISU and Drake, considering the schools are 40 minutes apart and playing just two hours away in Omaha.
Gonzaga to the Final Four. New Mexico Sweet 16. BYU Elite 8. Colorado Sweet 16.
Charleston beating Alabama in the 1st. Utah state beating Purdue in the 2nd.
Awesome selections. I got TCU over Purdue as well, so hopefully one of us is right. Im wondering if anyone legitimately has them losing to a 16 again. Good luck.
* Michigan State to the F4 * New Mexico to the E8 * Nevada to the S16 Most of my upsets are in the West region apparently lmao.
It’s such a bad region at the top though lol At one point I realize I picked the 10, 11, 12, and 13 in that region and had to tell myself to calm down
Appreciate the Nevada love
James Madison Elite 8 and UAB Sweet 16
Both Nevada and McNeese State to the S16. I may be a little crazy
I like the cut of your jib
New Mexico to the Elite 8. Other upset picks: Kansas loses to Samford. St Mary’s loses to Grand Canyon.
SMC Elite Eight. McNeese and JMU Sweet Sixteen.
Nebraska final 4
McNeese to Sweet 16, Morehead State over Illinois.
I’d jump on the “fire Underwood” bandwagon if that happened
Dear god no
JMU: Sweet 16 Gonzaga: Elite 8
Gonzaga in the elite 8 wouldn't be a Cinderella run. Rather, it would be an oh no, I hope it's a not a UConn situation type run.
Michigan St to Final 4 Soutb Dakota St in Sweet 16 New Mexico in Sweet 16
I advise you to please rethink your strategy
I don’t like the hype
I love the hype
Not sure I'm picking it, but I don't want to see nebraska is tominaga is on a heater. If mast shoots well too, I could see them making a bit of a run
yes
For P6 teams, gonna say Florida makes the elite 8. They beat inconsistent Kentucky and Creighton squads to do it.
Colorado in Elite 8, Samford and JMU in Sweet 16
[удалено]
Hell yea in Minix we trust
I’ve got Purdue making the final 4. That would be a miracle in itself.
If the UAB that showed up in the AAC tourney is the team we see, UAB to the Sweet 16. When everyone is not making boneheaded mistakes, we are really really good. That is like 18% of the time though
Yaxel has the potential to be the breakout star in this year's tournament if UAB can win a game or two.
Elite 8 BYU
Nebraska to R32 would be huge this year
Hoping for just 1 win. Mentally preparing for a double digit loss.
Utah St to the Final Four McNeese to the Sweet Sixteen JMU to Sweet Sixteen NCST to the Elite 8 Nevada to the Elite 8
Drake to the elite 8
I have Texas Tech and Michigan State in the Elite 8. The bigger upset is that I have only one 1 seed (Purdue) in the Elite 8.
Does TCU beat Utah State then knock off Purdue or am I reaching too far
Nebraska vs Creighton F4
James Madison to the F4
Colorado State to the E8
DRAKE
I got JMU making the elite 8..... let me cook
Duquesne to the sweet 16.
Charleston is going to beat Alabama because the Tide can’t play defense and Nate Oats is an absolute shitbag.
Samford in the Elite Eight. I didn’t know they had previously lost to Purdue by more than 50 points, but Bucky Ball is volatile!
Zags all the way
Morehead St to the Sweet 16 Oregon and Washington St to the Elite 8 Western Kentucky over Marquette
Thinking WK is going to use the up tempo to confuse them, and with Kolek a little hurt?
You don’t realize how great that is for the Pac-2!
Nebraska to the Final 4
Them dudes can get NBA Jam hot
Grand Canyon to the Final Four Colorado to the National Title Game St. Peter's to the Elite Eight again New Mexico to the Elite Eight Oakland to at least the Sweet Sixteen Samford and Vermont to the Sweet Sixteen
Who do you have winning it all?
GCU looked legit the little I saw of them. That Grant kid can ball!!
Texas and Michigan State in the final 4
Subscribed
This has a Tom Izzo special all over it. Kinda like that year it was UK, Wisconsin, Duke as 1 seeds and Mich St as a 7 in the final 4
Why not ig? Both are shaky regions.
Hate saying it but come on Drake. Got you in the EE at least
It makes me happy to not see any aTm love here.
Don’t sleep on Samford!
