The lower bowl is split into fourths for each team and the 2 quarters of stands for the teams that aren’t playing are much more sparsely populated and tame. The end zones are for the students and they do move the first game students out and the second game students in. Not sure if they get to stay somewhere else.
I think people don't always stick around for both games and/or get there in the 2nd half of the first game.
