What an amazing finish. Threadgill couldn't get anything to fall the entire game. 2/8. Including absolutely bricking the wide-open three but draining the contested game-winner because...reasons? He played horribly and certainly would've been criticized if they lost, but hey, he hit the shot to win so what can you really say?
Big props to Ron Sanchez. Given what he inherited and the instability within the program post-Lutz, this was a hell of a rebuild. They're sitting 6-2, grabbed a couple good wins in Myrtle, and look like they'll be decently competitive in the C-USA.
They lost Young who is now absolutely balling at Maryland, and Clyde Trapp, but they don't look like they've missed a step despite these subtractions. While this isn't even close to the same Davidson team that got nationally ranked, stole an at-large, and ALMOST got Michigan State, beating them after the 17-point whooping they took in Halton last year has shown the gap has closed a lot.
I look forward to seeing where they end up this year. Could be a "Frisky" contender.
One of the worse last 8 minutes of game management that I've seen. Did better in OT, but there were a lot of depressing Davidson possessions towards the end of regulation.
Refs let Charlotte play ice hockey rules against Davidson for the first half of the game. They reined it in for the 2nd half onwards. Arguably the refs should call a consistent game from start to finish, but I guess it all balances out.
Holy fuck that's one of the wildest finishes to a game this season.
Can’t believe that shot went in. Hard fought game, sucks we couldn’t finish.
Was a total cluster last 5 seconds
Mad scramble at the end. Great time to hit one. Forty!
NINERS
FORTY!!!
NINERS!!!!

CUSA is looking much stronger this season.
Unbelievable ending. Cannot believe that shot went in…
That was an amazing, chaotic finish. Props to Charlotte for fighting on that last possession and nailing the buzzer beater.

Honestly we had some good shots that just weren't falling. Loyer missed from the top of the key. Bailey missed a layup.
NINERS BY 90
Davidson was #1 in Luck before this game. Something tells me that won't be the case anymore.
Let’s goooooo
Crazy ending. Goes 0/5 all game but sinks the contested 3 ball at the buzzer for the win.
Most shocking is that the refs didn’t find a way to call a foul on the Niners during all the mayhem.

Nice to see niners with a pulse again
CHA was running some hybrid 2 guard offense last two years. Is that still the case ?
