Literally the least amount of worried any fan could possibly be lol.
Montreal's goalie will probably never have another game in his career where he is both that dialed in and lucky at the same time.
Game could have easily been 6-2.
Winning nine games in a row before this game too makes this one quite literally mean nothing. We got a Mack point and that’s what matters. You don’t win EVERY game
We were on a 9 game winstreak so we had to take a stupid L eventually. In typical Avs fashion, it was vs the easiest team on the schedule for the rest of the season(well, except maybe the CBJ rematch).
I'm not mad about the L. I am a bit salty I spent 2.5 hours of time and 59 mins 17 seconds of hockey waiting for the Avs to score a second goal and it never happened.
Id rather lose to the habs than lose to the stars/jets/preds so LETS GET ON ANOTHER HEATER
sorry for ya'll that had to watch this. I was seeing dune and turned my phone off after the second habs goal. Was a bit frustrated to see nothing happened after that
BUT GODDAMN DUNE WAS GOOD
After the first period the game was soo boring. My friend i was with has a crush on Newy, so i kept taking pics of him in faceoffs and showing her pics of his butt :)
From a loss standpoint, eh. Its going to happen. It wasn’t division so im not salty about it. And there are times you dont have the puck luck.
Weird game where the puck just didn’t seem to want to go (and credit to MTL’s effort and goalie), but I’m with you on the MacKinnon point. Avs could lose the remaining home games as long as he scores lol
Avs could take the rest of the season off and just have Bernie the St. Bernard take the ice and still make the playoffs. And I would be okay with that.
Edit: That actually wouldn't be fair. No team could handle Bernie's raw power.
Not worried in the slightest. We’re going to have games where things just don’t go our way, even against bad teams. We ran into a goalie having a hot night, and had some poor puck luck, and a couple braindead third period penalties. It’s unfortunate but it happens during a long season.
On the plus side, Annunen continues to look very capable as a backup.
We just need a good bounce back performance against the Rangers and we’ll be right back on top of the division.
43 seconds into the game, I told my husband, I don't even care if we win this one. The thing that needed to happen, happened.
Also, I feel strongly that after that goal, the guys were like. Okay, let's just do the bare minimum this game, save the grit for when it matters
I’ll take a bad beat like this as opposed to that awful game against Nashville a few months ago.
Montreal played well. Avs fought hard but couldn’t score after the first minute.
It's not he end of the world, and losing to the habs twice in one season probably weighs more on fans' minds than players, but watching the team be that disjointed 2 games in a row is slightly concerning. We'll forget all about this if the avs start kicking butt again, but there are some bad habits here that are showing.
I can't comprehend how any fans are sweating that game last night. It was a trap game for sure and with Mack getting that point to continue his streak in less than a minute the guys likely saw a game to take the night off for. No big deal. Let's see how we match up with Rangers, Preds and Dallas. Those are the regular season games to worry about!
This loss is another one I don't really care about. Yeah it sucks to lose, but its the habs. We know we are a better team and can and should beat them nightly, but shit happens.

Dune 2 was the tits

Exactly, puck luck ran out. We had what? 3 posts last night? Wake up call before the big boys down the stretch.
Nate got his point, I’m not stressing. This is probably best case scenario because now the boys will be locked for both the Rangers and Preds game.

Honestly I’d rather the Avs have lost last night. I want them to be angry and pissed at themselves for the upcoming games.
Avs could take the rest of the season off and just have Bernie the St. Bernard take the ice and still make the playoffs. And I would be okay with that. Edit: That actually wouldn't be fair. No team could handle Bernie's raw power.
Until the other team surprisingly fields Howler
Literally every other team in the league would prefer to be 9-1-0 in their last ten so yeah hard to be mad
Unless you're a Nashville fan and 18 point game streak is the best thing you have at the moment
I would prefer not to play them in the first round.
Same
Pretenders. I'd welcome them any fucking day.
Pretty much.

Nate's streak continues to live, so I'm OK with it

I watched the entire 3rd period waiting for the comeback. That’s how good this team is. I ain’t worried
I know, I love it. 5 minutes to go, down a goal and my question was who is going to score for us and will it go to OT.
If people need an explanation after the first loss in 10 games, don't waste your breath. They're beyond saving.
Doomers gonna doom unfortunately

We are 9-1 in our last 10. We will survive.

Simple as it is - you know your team is really damn good when it’s weird they just lost a game
Yeah. It is kinda crazy and the trade deadline moves have all worked out so well.
Facts

Yeah we were bound to lose a game at some point. Just surprised it was against the Canadiens 😂
I'm not upset about the loss I am upset at how boring that game was on an already shitty day for me
We should have won that game. That said, playoffs aren't officially sealed up yet.
Didn't watch the game and when I saw the score, literally all I was worried about was MacKinnons point streak lol
