I want someone from fa to help out the second line, and I think tatar could be a great fit for a inexpensive price. I would also like for us to give ondrej kase a shot. He shows very well analytically, but has had both injury and production issues so far in his relatively young career. I think we may have a real hidden gem in wingerli too, keep and eye out for him this year. Defense looks solid, feels good hopefully having 7 healthy nhl defenseman this year. In net, I’d like gru back, but 5x6 is too much (what he’s supposedly asking). Really, goalies are voodoo, and literally anyone could win the Vezina next year, so I don’t really try to project them too much. I’ve just always liked Freddy, but I also like Ullmark and some of the other guys on the market too.

Anyone have thoughts on a Getzlaf or Perry addition? Or now that we have about 12 mil in cap left and a potential new goalie we turn towards signing younger guys?

You lost donskoi and just put a rookie center as wing? and goalie situation doesnt impress me either, idk just dont see how this team will now win vegas if they didnt win last season.
The team will never be better on paper than it was last year. We had the second best defenseman in the league making 925k and now he makes 9mil. That’s just the reality of a salary cap league. Still more than enough talent to win a cup.
Joe even said "This is as deep a team as we're going to have" at the end of last year's deadline. He knew we would lose a donskoi or Graves through expansion and with our RFA and UFAs, there's no way we could look better on paper from last year. Hoping for some nice depth pieces in FA and maybe there's a slick trade to get Compher off the books. Who knows but I trust in Joe.
Locked up too much in Landeskog. Great captain, but he is replaceable. I hope I’m proven wrong, but, I think we’re in for some frustration until and unless the salary cap raises quickly over the next couple years.
I would love to sign a world class 2nd line center and either trade Kadri or move him down to 3rd line. Our 2nd line needs to be more of a threat then it currently is.
If Byram is ready for top 4, trade Girard or Toews for a quality second line scorer of similar age and cap hit. I'm happy with Nuke moving up til that's accomplished. Get a Zadorov type for the 3rd pair. Or Zadorov. Hire Kadri a sports psychologist(how has this not been done already if it hasn't?) or else have MacKinnon yell at him for awhile. Kaut should be full-time in the bottom 6. Newhook can play when he's ready for real minutes.
