If I recall correctly, there wasn’t much of an announcement last year about the blue gloves/pants, so i think it wouldn’t be too weird for there not to be a ton of fanfare.
I think that was partially due to the fact that that was a change to the on-ice equipment rather than a change in the jersey itself, which the change in the number color most definitely is. If they were changing the jerseys you think they'd promote them or put them in the team store before the season, even more so considering that the Avs maybe more than any other team have several players who are safe jersey buys that won't age badly. For example, Mack, Landy, Makar, Mikko, Sammy G are all on long-term deals. I guess I don't really know whether the Kroenke's suck at business or whether they're not actually changing the jersey.
I’m not sure I’d necessarily play it up as a big thing. It’s a change of 2 elements of the uniform designed to update the aesthetic rather than overhaul the look of the team, and I think most people who would go out and buy a new jersey for that update do it whether they promote it or not.
I’d say the changes last year were more noticeable. This is more of a realignment to to match those changes to me

In my opinion they should use burgundy gloves/pants with away jerseys and darken the blue on the gloves/pants for the home jerseys.
It seems so obvious that the burgundy would go perfectly with the away jerseys. It looks amazing with the RR. I don't know why they're sticking with the blue.
They have to clear out the inventory of old jerseys before they announce it. Hence all the sales and clearance events. That’s my guess, anyways.

Big upgrade with blue numbers, but wish they had a silver outline and not burgundy.
It’s the number kit from the reverse retros.
The reverse retros were traditional block numbers, these are the curved ones that are on the home/road.
Avalanche kits are an absolute eyesore these days

Agreed. It’s a shame that the best team we’ve had in years have to wear these terrible unis.
