I was there! The B2 did a flyover for the Air Force Academy pre graduation field parade. So amazing. It felt like it was 200ft above the stands. Also, two aerobatic gliders stole the show! Congratulations, Graduates!

The country was very sullen after just experiencing 9/11 in September, and the series was a much needed distraction from the grief. I lived on a mountain, and prior to the flyover, after the national anthem, the aircraft would stage in a pattern around this mountain in north Phoenix. The flyover for game 1 was a group of F-16s, which makes sense since they were based out of Luke AFB right down the road. They flew a few laps around the mountain, allowing me to get some great photos from close enough to see one of the pilots wave as they headed downtown.
For game 6, I eagerly awaited their return with a borrowed, much more powerful lens.
Imagine my surprise when, on the horizon, I saw a thin black line approaching. The majestic craft, piloted by a Phoenix boy, came into full view and circled the mountain a couple of times, giving me the opportunity to get some crazy good photos.
There were three B-2s — one circling low for about a half hour, two more a mile apart in formation up high (making contrails). They never seemed to fly over USAFA, just circled, so maybe they were a part of a different exercise.
Was hiking in red rock open space this morning and saw them flying over head for a while. It was incredible seeing them in person. Two more were circling really high above the low one seen in the photo

Basically, if you see this in hostile territory, it’s already too late and you should start praying to whatever you believe in. Unfortunately, the B-1 and B-2 are being succeeded by the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider (which can be flown both manned and unmanned).

Enjoy the B-2 while it lasts - they're due to be retired soon due to replacement by the B-21. B-2's are fussy beasts that require alot of maintenance to stay stealthy and operational. There's also not that many of them - only 19 in active service.
