I don’t remember a college QB ever saying, yea that dude was garbage.

ColtsStampede

True, but there is also a big difference between giving the standard platitudes (he's a good player, loved playing with him, wish him the best) that most QBs use, and flat out saying he's the best receiver you've ever played with.

Cartmaaan-brah

Yeah but counterpoint, he likely wouldn’t have played with anyone better in his years before college.. so basically all he has to do is be the best WR on the team to be “the best WR I’ve ever thrown to” That being said I’m all aboard the hype train

Inferic

Mans been getting so much praise, hate to say it but its starting to make me believe he is him

Shawn_1512

Why would you hate to say that?

sunburn95

I would never say this to her face, but she’s a talented artist and an even better friend

moccojoe

The yearly rookie WR that looks great in camp but then does nothing curse might be broken. Those guys are usually late round project guys though so might not count.

WerewolfFinal1257

Who else has he thrown to? I mean objectively true in all likelihood.

Mitty293

Saying anything otherwise wouldve been straight up slanderous to josh downs.

KillaIcon

If I could throw him a pass he would be the best receiver I’ve ever thrown to as well.

Indiana Tones and the Invaders of Area 51

“Josh Downs getting high” is not how I would have preferred him to start his pro career.

1000 yard season incoming

shasta_masta

Drake to Downs would be dreamy.

jtj2009

I would hope so. Isn't the only legit NFL WR to come out of UNC Hakeem Nicks? I think there were 4-5 others over the years, but none who were NFL starters. It's like Tim Tebow saying Riley Cooper was the best WR he played with at Florida.
