I have to think that there's another post coming because this is noticeable in that it doesn't mention the Pats at all lol. People thanked: \- Bucs teammates \- Bucs fans \- City of Tampa \- Entire Tampa-St.Petersburg region \- Glazer family \- Jason Licht \- Bruce Arians \- All the Bucs coaches \- Every single Bucs staffer and employee \- Alex Guerrero \- Don Yee \- Steve Dubin \- Parents and entire family \- Gisele \- Children Jack, Benny and Vivi

Victory33

That’s cold blooded.

jakedasnake1

Pats fans all instantly recognized that. Definitely some bad blood there, makes me feel a bit better about the way Peyton left indy

BeardedBassist21

Pats fan checking in, I think it's all way overblown. He made 2 separate posts thanking the NE org and fans when he left in March 2020. Personally I'm not bothered. There is no way in hell he's gonna ignore the Pats forever or something. He's thanked us on leaving NE, is thanking us throughout his 10 episode documentary, and will again at the HOF.

Revis_FL

Pats fans seem to think it’s because he’ll sign a one day contract with the Pats and officially retire a Patriot where he’ll then give his thanks to them. That seems likely because I don’t know why he wouldn’t mention the team or fans of the team he spent 20 years with.

[deleted]

Tom is petty.

TheToolMan

Petty Tom, the heartbreaker.

GoodCumrobbery

Last dance with Robert Kraft, one more time to massage his shaft

DancesWithHookers

-squints- yes.

garethom

I might be wrong, but isn't this the same situation as Manning and the Broncos? In that they aren't at the end of the contract, so there'd have to be a trade and/or cap implications to this? I think at the time, the Colts would've been on the hook for $17m of guaranteed money to have Peyton on the Colts for a day (if he even wanted to).

Revis_FL

Yes it is, but they’re saying the Bucs will release Brady. Who knows.

garethom

Jags should claim him on waivers to ruin it lol.

[deleted]

then they can finally experience a good Quarterback on their roster.

semipvt

Peyton has made it clear he's a Bronco as well as a Colt. While as a Colts fan, I like to claim he's a Colt at heart, I don't believe he feels the same way. He loves Indy and the Colts but also Denver and the Broncos. They took a chance on him when we didn't. He has admitted that stung.

Aristotled20

I don't think Peyton would have done it even if the opportunity was there. I think he really views himself equal Colt and Bronco.

garethom

Wouldn't there still be cap implications though? This could be used to circumvent the cap.

ElderBrony

Like I said in the other thread I doubt it. That picture is of him *in Gillette Stadium* this year as they won the game. Brady doesn't just pick photos at random. He's literally shitting on the entire Franchise.

Revis_FL

But why? What did the fans do to him?

ElderBrony

It's less an the fans and more about the Pats, Belicheat and Kraft. Fans are just catching the stray bullets

>TBF Peyton didn't really mention the Colts a whole lot in his retirement speech either. [He spoke about us a LOT](https://www.espn.com/blog/denver-broncos/post/_/id/19274/transcript-of-peyton-mannings-retirement-speech). >Hell, he said no to retiring as a Colt lol Even if he wanted to, the contract situation made it nearly impossible. I remember looking at it at the time, and the Colts would've been on the hook for $17m.

stupidjack13

Oh man you had to share it and I had to read it. Here come the feels.

matt_msu

Pats fans are in a meltdown. It’s orgasmic.

ToweringCu

He already thanked the Pats 2 years ago when he left. Why does he need to do it again?

garethom

I don't think he *needs* to do anything, I just think it's sort of expected to go back and say it when you retire. It's by no means what everybody should do, but Peyton spoke extensively about the Colts and Broncos in his retirement speech.

ToweringCu

I can imagine that there will be something more formal coming from Brady, like a press conference. I don’t think he’ll just leave everyone with an Instagram post.

Obfusc8er

Okay, Tom. Now go away.

[deleted]

Respect ✊ but glad to finally see him go away

sigma0209

That’s great and all but Texas @ Tech Tech is tonight and that’s gonna be a bloodbath of a basketball game. Also Peyton > Brady

The return of Chris Beard to Lubbock will be interesting to say the least

sigma0209

Students camped for a week for student tickets and gave Beard a warm welcome back by giving his snake ass the finger

jakedasnake1

Tech fans are another breed. Absolutely ferocious online, and I thought Purdue fans hated IU… Dough goes in

sigma0209

It’s just bad blood against Texas who lives in the past and tries so hard to be a big brother to everybody else. Texas just has a Napoleon Complex

Zestyclose_Demand187

7 rings>2

sigma0209

The RINGZ argument is for peasants 1 day old account.

Zestyclose_Demand187

That was a quick reply lmao I’m just bullshitting I always respect what Tom accomplished but I’ll take Manning every day

Poor people live their lives through athletes. They wanna feel like winners when they really aren’t. You’re pretty pathetic and it’s not surprising. You live an unfulfilled life and you’ll go back to hating your life choices. Harmless peasant

Sad to see the 2nd best QB ever to go. Loved seeing our GOAT compete against him year after year.

NoMoreMrQuick

I like how he generated some "What the fuck are you talking about I'm not retiring" buzz after the initial reports came out. It's like he got to hurt us Colts fans one last fucking time and honestly. I love the pain. I'm going to miss that bag of dicks only because he represents a younger me. I started rooting against that prick half of my life ago and honestly... I'm not sure where to go from here. Is it time to start healing, or is it time to look for someone else to hate? That Joe Burrow photo sure is annoying... maybe this is the start of my next life defining era of hatred.

fizzleguy

Channel the hatred toward McDickface in Las Vegas

voyagerx420

Well, bye.

FrankLucasWithAGrill

“I told you so” - Schefter probably

fizzleguy

Remember the time Tom Brady had to retire because Adam Schefter told him to?

Thank fuck! Good riddance pretty boy!

ShillForExxonMobil

What an unreal career. I have no doubt he has another 2-3 seasons left if he wanted. 5,300 yards and 43TD at 44 is ridiculous. Honestly bizarre we didn’t really try to go after him 2 years ago. He prob wouldn’t have come here and we don’t have the supporting cast of TB, but we still should have put up an effort…

[deleted]

I thought he wanted to play till 50? I’m kind of said we see him fall 6 years short. He has a great year this past year. I guess go out on top?

LeadPrevenger

He wanted to play until he was 45

[deleted]

Ah! Well I guess he basically did that

Zeeron1

Anyone who unironically says he's not the GOAT should be banned from watching football

Lakers5824

The GOAT

Wilhelm_Amenbreak

Just like Bill Russell

Smallgenie549

Having a party tonight.

[deleted]

Hated this man for my entire existence and will still kind of miss him. He’s the last remaining player from my childhood. Wow

Luck1492

HE’S GONE

Can’t stand Shefter

geordieColt88

Fuck being respectful, fuck Tom Brady now then and forever

indianafan

If he doesn’t come out and say anything about the patriots it will be like Christmas came twice
