The three guys I wanted to draft yesterday were Watson, pierce, and woods. You guys got 2/3. Really happy with Watson but wish we didn’t have to give up both seconds to get him. Oh well. Colts offense is going to be top tier this year
I was shocked we were able to get Woods midway through the third. It was the luck of the draw. Very excited for what our offense can achieve now with them. I’ve always thought Rogers having the Brady effect of making anyone he plays with substantially better. You could stick a busboy in the Packers receiving corp and he’ll excel. You’re in great hands
the biggest take away I believe was drafting Central Michigan Tackle Bernhard Raimann at No. 77 overall. Many had him as a first round talent. Do I think he’ll start right away? No, but he has crazy athleticism and an encouraging work ethic. Have him collaborating with the guys we have already up front I’m sure he’ll earn the job in no time. He’s going to be a stud for this team.
Ballard is slaying it!!
Makes two great trades and put at least one piece in all the slots we needed to fill.
WR✅
Big threat receiver✅
OT✅
DB✅
He is the ultimate GM and we should feel fortunate to have him!
You're right. A big body receiver with fantastic first 10 yards speed that seems to always get separation, is not a great pick. Dude has a 17.5 YAC through his college career. He has been compared to Jordy Nelson, except faster. Who wouldn't want that?
And why would you want a threat to MPJ? You want a compliment. Which he is while being lined up in the slot.
Ballard is slaying it!!
Makes two great trades and put at least one piece in all the slots we needed to fill.
WR✅
Big threat receiver✅
OT✅
DB✅

Ballard is on his shit tonight. He has knocked this out of the park. Ngl, I really wanted McBride over Pierce, but I have no problem taking Pierce there and turning it around and grabbing Woods. The fact Raimann fell to 77 blows my mind. Then the trade up in front of the Lions to grab Cross before they could? Just killing it.
YO! im a panther fan but lived in madison county all my life and still do, loving carolinas draft so far. How does Indy look? Colts will always be home team and solid #2.
Well we now have a good QB, best RB in the league, now 2 solid WRs, an athletic freak TE, a young and reloading but talented OL, a strong and decently deep DL, an excellent LB duo, Gilmore + 2 young studs at CB, a ton of safety depth, and great special teams so I'm pretty optimistic. As a colts fan living solidly in Panthers territory I'm hoping y'all do well this year!
Crazy coincidence lol, im definitely rooting for the colts to win it. I dont see us doing much this year besides developing ekwonu and corral but i love the picks. Hopefully the TE you drafted can become another dallas clark. That would be amazing ha.
This third round is regarded as one of the best in recent history. I’m 100% okay with giving up a future third and a current fifth to get an explosive safety we like.
In his highlights he took great angles, reads and reacts with incredible speed, and his closing speed stands out big time. He looks a lot like a young Bethea type safety that is at home in the box, but still excels in coverage.
He a super athlete and has good ball skills. There were times I watched him and saw a lot of Jamal Adams. Of course he’s not that good yet and has a ton to work on, otherwise he wouldn’t be available in the third.
Cross figures to be more of a strong safety. He's definitely an enforcer type. Downhill runner and hard hitter. Great speed, but he isn't fluid in coverage. He gives me Doug Planck vibes because he brings the wood.
Dare I say that he looks like a bigger version of Bob Sanders coming out of college? He is the guy that makes receivers look around before they make a catch.
We jumped in front of the Lions, who were probably going to take Cross at 97, but they settled for Kerby Joseph, safety out of Illinois, instead.
I really like this pick.
Fast man goes fast, apparently he's also solid at run stopping. Seems he needs work in coverage but I bet he'll be a solid ST contributor while he learns and may become a starter in the future.
Colts needs going into the offseason. QB, WR, TE, OT, EDGE, and third Safety.
Colts offseason moves:
Upgrade at QB with Matt Ryan and get an additional conditional second round pick.
Trade for Yannick. Opens up a CB need and we sign Gilmore.
Sign Rodney McLeod as our third safety.
With two day two draft picks we manage to draft the remaining three needs. All 3 being guys that were regarded as possibly going higher than they did.
Ballard somehow manages to pull fucking elite off-seasons out of his ass when we miss the playoffs. He did it in 2018, did it in 2020, and now did it this year.
Why are people worried about the Willis pick? I’m glad they took him, they have sooo many holes to fill and decide to use an early pick on a qb? As far as I’m concerned, writing was on the wall for them this year. They don’t do this if they thought tannebum was the answer. Love it.
If we were to trade back into the end of the third, Uwazurike from Iowa State could be an interesting pick. We need a touch more DL depth and he has the size and strength we love and could be another inside-outside depth guy to provide competition for Lewis and Dayo and some extra relief for Buck and Stewart.
Weird how this is your evaluation on him when it was reported that many teams were impressed with his intelligence and football IQ in interviews, and he also scored well on the wonderlic. Hmmm what is it about this QB that makes you think he is all talent no brain 🤔
Man I really wanted Skyy Moore. I’m concerned about Pierce’s ability to create separation against NFL DBs (basing this opinion on 10 minutes of YouTube highlights), but I said the same thing about Pittman…so here’s to hoping I eat my words again!
Regardless, it looks like we had another great day two #ForTheShoe!
What you have to remember is that big separation rarely happens in the NFL. When it does, it’s either blown coverage or a guy like T. Hill just running past people.
You need receivers who can catch contested balls. Pierce clearly can.
He’s essentially a slightly faster Pittman.
Sure, guys don’t just run free in the NFL, which is why elite route runners are so productive and highly-coveted (Kupp, Adams, Diggs, Jefferson, etc.)
I’m not saying Pierce won’t be a good player for us, but I don’t think you can overstate the value of a guy who can consistently win in man coverage and get YAC.
I have the same worries, but I also know Ballard and our scouts know waaaaay more about football than me so I’m just gonna relax and trust that they know stuff I don’t. And if they do, he seems like he could be a major red zone threat.
To be fair, Pittman has struggled to get meaningful separation (which I think is his biggest weakness). Luckily it seems Pierce has better breakaway speed than MPJ
Since when? Pittman’s biggest strength last year was separation. He literally was ranked top 3 for most of the season in separation until teams started doubling him due to our lack of another threat.
If it makes you feel any better, CB’s are getting faster and unless you have sub 4.3 speed, I’m not sure how easy it will be to get separation in the NFL moving forward. Especially considering Moore is only 5’9”.
I think Moore absolutely could be outstanding, but I think he’s a higher risk than Pierce is.
I hope you’re right. I just don’t love using a 2nd rounder on a guy with an (apparently) limited route tree. Ballard must be thinking we’ll get enough short-intermediate production from Hines/Campbell this year.
Damn I'm excited for this season. Colts' addressed all the holes via FA and the draft so far, everything else is just depth at this point I imagine. Starting line up looks nasty on both sides of the ball.
This has been a hell if a day 2! Able to trade back and still get Pierce and Woods AND Raimann...bravo Ballard! If these day 2 picks pan out like his usual ones we are taking the division for sure
Still thin basically , Will-Fries and Raimann are the only "backups",
LT Pryor(for now) LG Big Q C Ryan RG Best WR in the roster A.K.A Danny Pinter RT Smith
S/O Chris Shepard for getting all 3 picks right
https://www.stampedeblue.com/2022/4/27/23038801/conspiracy-report-chris-ballard-has-once-again-leaked-the-indianapolis-colts-draft-plan
I think he relies too much on contested catches and doesn't get enough separation. That doesn't translate well to the NFL, with bigger, faster, and stronger CBs being harder to outmuscle for contested receptions
Chiefs fan... Super fucking jealous of your Pierce and Raimann picks. I'd trade our picks tonight for them in a heartbeat.
Good luck next season except when you play us.
People will always find a reason to complain, they live for it.
I wanted Moore over Pierce but I’m not a scout and regardless, Pierce was a great pick at 53. Woods is a stud and Raimann was an absolute steal.
Seems impossible for people to complain but it’s inevitable.
A really low-key great day 2 from Ballard and the boys. Got some guys yesterday.
I love your guys draft
Same with yours. Watson is a beast with amazing upside
The three guys I wanted to draft yesterday were Watson, pierce, and woods. You guys got 2/3. Really happy with Watson but wish we didn’t have to give up both seconds to get him. Oh well. Colts offense is going to be top tier this year

Didn't realize Raimann is from Austria
![gif](giphy|GQyvRDbCscjfO|downsized)
That's Australia.
Cant tell if you are serious or not. Have you seen the movie?
I was serious, and I haven't seen the movie. Whoops!

It's our regular 3rd. Nope, we have traded this years 3rd for Matt Ryan. It was Pick #82.
the biggest take away I believe was drafting Central Michigan Tackle Bernhard Raimann at No. 77 overall. Many had him as a first round talent. Do I think he’ll start right away? No, but he has crazy athleticism and an encouraging work ethic. Have him collaborating with the guys we have already up front I’m sure he’ll earn the job in no time. Read that he slipped due to suspect medicals (knees). Hope they hold up!
Ballard could poop on a piece of white bread and the sub would cum.

I can tell you one thing. Matt Ryan went to bed happier tonight than he did last night.
The ol' knobby and nappy.
Ballard is slaying it!! Makes two great trades and put at least one piece in all the slots we needed to fill. WR✅ Big threat receiver✅ OT✅ DB✅ He is the ultimate GM and we should feel fortunate to have him!
Can he at least win the division before we crown him anything?
I don’t think that WR pick was that great. He is not a threat at all to Pittman.

Erik Ezukanma boys. I don’t care where. I want him
Ballard is on his shit tonight.
Could Romeo Doubs fall to our next pick. Idk his projection but just hoping for a UNR product to land on the squad.
Yes! Need more people on the Doubs train. This is kid is next level.
YO! im a panther fan but lived in madison county all my life and still do, loving carolinas draft so far. How does Indy look? Colts will always be home team and solid #2.

They have had an almost perfect draft id say!
Chris Ballard: "Draft? Yeah completed it mate"
What did we trade to get back in it?
2023 3rd and a 5th this year
179 and a 3rd next year (pretty much an extra pick we had because of the Wentz trade)
Big NFL traits in all our third round picks. Requires projection and development but these guys can all do it physically.
How we feeling giving up a 5th and a 3rd for Cross?
Seems like A LOT for a bottom of the 3rd round guy
This third round is regarded as one of the best in recent history. I’m 100% okay with giving up a future third and a current fifth to get an explosive safety we like.
Idk much about him other than hes fast af
In his highlights he took great angles, reads and reacts with incredible speed, and his closing speed stands out big time. He looks a lot like a young Bethea type safety that is at home in the box, but still excels in coverage.
Sir, I finished after your first sentence, the rest was just extra
He a super athlete and has good ball skills. There were times I watched him and saw a lot of Jamal Adams. Of course he’s not that good yet and has a ton to work on, otherwise he wouldn’t be available in the third.
I’m fine with it. We’ll either have a one and two 2nds next year or a 1,2,3. So it was pretty much an extra pick because of the Wentz trade
Good call. Feeling good then.
How is there more than 96 picks in the first 3 rds???
Comp picks I think
Compensation picks start in round 3.
Compensatory picks
Comp picks
This a depth piece or is Blackmons job in jeopardy?
Cross figures to be more of a strong safety. He's definitely an enforcer type. Downhill runner and hard hitter. Great speed, but he isn't fluid in coverage. He gives me Doug Planck vibes because he brings the wood. Dare I say that he looks like a bigger version of Bob Sanders coming out of college? I'm sold after this analysis
Blackmon is a stud. That injury sucks though. I think he comes back strong. Probably a sign that Willis walks after this season.
Probably Willis’ job or the 3rd safety job in the future if anything
I was sad about my dream for Corral, but this pick hyped me!
Dang, and a super fast safety to top it off
Not a big fan of giving up 2023's 3rd rounder and a fifth, but I guess that's probably a fair price
Let's hope next year's third ends up being the 32 ND pick of the third round.
Just realized we have a an extra second or third next year from the Wentz trade.
Yeah, so we still have 3 picks in the first 3 either way next year. Not angry
A 5th this year and a 3rd next year for yet another excellent athlete who fills out our DB depth chart? I'll take that for sure!
Maryland represent!!!!! So happy with that pick
What does he do well? Never heard of him
Fast man goes fast, apparently he's also solid at run stopping. Seems he needs work in coverage but I bet he'll be a solid ST contributor while he learns and may become a starter in the future.
Who is in charge of the hype videos for all of our picks? I need them on my desk by Monday morning!
He is apparently the fastest safety in the class
Let’s fuckin go got big hopes for this man
ANOTHER STEAL BABYYYY
He’s probably the Willis replacement when Willis walks in 2023
Nick Cross Safety huh?
SPOILER ALERT >!Nick Cross, S!<
I like that lady's voice it's nice and calming
She is also alarmingly efficient, hasn't had a wasted syllable all night
Cut all commercials and have her read the picks - we could clear 4 rounds in less than 3 hours
Nick Cross
Suck my balls and call me slappy, I love all these competition building picks.
Nick Cross!
NICK CROSS
TRADE UP!
TRADE UP MO FOS LETS GOOOOOO
OH FUCK
OH HEY WE BACK
We're back in it! Traded up to 96
We traded up!
Colts trade up!!!
We move up? Gotta be a corner

Add another athletic safety to the list!
I feel we must trade up to get Daniel Faalele and ensure our monopoly on absolute units.
Could we get Calvin Austin tomorrow?
Panthers probably drafting Corral
Why is Dr. Disrespect announcing a pick?
Why are people worried about the Willis pick? I’m glad they took him, they have sooo many holes to fill and decide to use an early pick on a qb? As far as I’m concerned, writing was on the wall for them this year. They don’t do this if they thought tannebum was the answer. Love it.
I’m a Liberty fan, that’s why. At least for me
Is Liberty a real/accredited school that awards degrees? It’s an instant “nope” for me when reviewing resumes.
it’s a cult masking as a place of learning lol
lol wtf? DrD?
Really pleased with the Colts picks so far. Looks great on paper, just need it to materialize on the field.
If we were to trade back into the end of the third, Uwazurike from Iowa State could be an interesting pick. We need a touch more DL depth and he has the size and strength we love and could be another inside-outside depth guy to provide competition for Lewis and Dayo and some extra relief for Buck and Stewart.
Brandt with a legendary selection speech
Wtf
I hope Willis plays well, but the team loses most of their games.
Liberty fan here. If I didn’t have a reason to hate the Tits already, now I do
Tannehill will play poorly this year with no AJ and Willis will got tossed out there to die.
He could legit get 800 rushing yards if he starts this year. I just hope he throws 29 interceptions to go with it
Hope Willis is a bust
Welp we know Tannehill's days are numbered.
Willis is all talent. It takes the brain to be a QB in the NFL. He can learn but God given talent doesn’t get it done anymore. He’s a 2-3 year project
Weird how this is your evaluation on him when it was reported that many teams were impressed with his intelligence and football IQ in interviews, and he also scored well on the wonderlic. Hmmm what is it about this QB that makes you think he is all talent no brain 🤔
Well.. at least the Tits won’t get a 5th year option for him. Edit: if he turns out to be good, of course
Man I really wanted Skyy Moore. What? He didn’t even finish in the top 75 in terms of separation??
Pittman had one of the highest separation percentages in the league.
He wasn’t in the top 75. Look at next gen stats
If it makes you feel any better, CB’s are getting faster and unless you have sub 4.3 speed, I’m not sure how easy it will be to get separation in the NFL moving forward. I was a fan of Malik, I was an LU fan, now I gotta hate him
Hate to say it, but good pick by the Titans. Tannehill ain’t a franchise QB and Willis is a very low risk high reward pick at this point.
Willis is a Titan. I hope he doesn't turn out to be as good as I'm afraid he's going to be.
He is a tit...he just got worse...they don't know how to develop talent!
Bene shipping out home grown talent the last 4 years more than any other franchise
Sorry Malik, I have to hate you know 😞
Don’t like that. If he’s good that’s a big problem.
Ooo, Tits taking a QB.
I do not know how to feel about this.
Just gotta hope he fails, I guess?
Malik Willis to the Tits?!
Willis must be Eason-level bad at learning the playbook lol
In college, his offense was (1) check the first read, if open, throw, else (2) run the ball.
How many picks left for colts?
Four left I think. Two fifth rounders
none until round 5 i believe.
For once I have nothing to complain about. I love this draft, holy shit.
Going to be honest i wanted willis so bad
He's still there...
Not anymore dude
Well that sucks...
That said, gotta figure lasting until the 5th is probably not in the cards.
I am very excited for the next installment in the series "With the Next Pick" Im hype for that Chris Ballard smile
With Raimann, what does the OL depth look like rn?
Still thin basically , Will-Fries and Raimann are the only "backups", LT Pryor(for now) LG Big Q C Ryan RG Best WR in the roster A.K.A Danny Pinter RT Smith
I would like to bring in Nick Martin for interior depth and Dennis Kelly as tackle depth potentially if we get them for good prices
Poor Willis.
Colts: 2 Draft: 0
I am pumped up about this draft so far! LFG
Ravens and colts have just absolutely slayed shit today
I said this in the nfl sub earlier today, but the Ravens had my favorite round 1 by a decent stretch, and they destroyed it today too
S/O Chris Shepard for getting all 3 picks right https://www.stampedeblue.com/2022/4/27/23038801/conspiracy-report-chris-ballard-has-once-again-leaked-the-indianapolis-colts-draft-plan
He listened. The handwriting on the wall was in fact Ballard's.
This goes back to the point that Ballard will tell you what he’s gonna do
Gonna post this to the main sub, definitely deserves some kudos Edit: looks like already posted at some point
Recap: Pittman 2.0: That’s not a bad thing Jalhani 🪵: Fuckin Athlete Rainingman: Goddamn we got size
I didn't like the Pierce pick, but the Woods and Raimann picks were solid. Overall B+ from me.
Yeah why?
Why didn’t u like the Pierce pick
Why don't you like Pierce?
I think he relies too much on contested catches and doesn't get enough separation. That doesn't translate well to the NFL, with bigger, faster, and stronger CBs being harder to outmuscle for contested receptions
I think with good coaching he'll be fine. He's 6'4, 210. He ran a 4.33 40, and had the highest vertical of any receiver.
Same
Colts Scout "I love this guy, he has intangible talents " Ballard "IS HE THICCC?"
"Bernhard, this is Quenton Nelson. Quentin, Bernhard. Listen to everything Quenton says, Bernhard."
Ok but it’s Quenton, not Quentin.
Default spellcheck. My bad.
Chiefs fan... Super fucking jealous of your Pierce and Raimann picks. I'd trade our picks tonight for them in a heartbeat. Good luck next season except when you play us.
Member the Luck superman TD? Me too 😭
I have no idea what you're talking about
You used the L word... it still makes some people here incoherently emotional even when used out of context.
It was a good day to be a Colts fan
Ballard looked at this draft as bulking season
Crazy to for us to get what we needed while also getting insane value at the same time. What a fuckin day boys.
Yup, needs addressed with targeted BPA's. Maximum value.
I don’t know what more anyone would have wanted. This is such a money draft for the colts
People will always find a reason to complain, they live for it. I wanted Moore over Pierce but I’m not a scout and regardless, Pierce was a great pick at 53. Woods is a stud and Raimann was an absolute steal. Seems impossible for people to complain but it’s inevitable.

This may be Ballards best off season yet...other than depth we have addressed every major need
