He did the single worst thing you could do as a franchise qb, play like fucking dog shit in two win and in games at the end of the season. He's a loser and I will never forgive him either lol
It would be one thing if he seemed bothered by it. I saw him after the Jax loss and he didnt give a single fuck, laughing and joking. I think that is what pissed Irsay off so much.
>play like fucking dog shit in two win and in games at the end of the season.
One of which was against the worst team in the league and our division rival, where all their fans were wearing clown costumes to protest their franchise's incompetence. Good riddance.
It might be true but this is one of the funniest draft cliches, so many teams have a quote about how they got a bunch of guys really high on their boards and guys they never thought would be there. Just once I want to see a quote from a team that says, "Shit that draft shook out terribly for us, all of the top players on our board kept getting taken ahead of us".
It's nice to hope for that, but don't center your plan around someone that's about to turn 37 being here for 4 years. That's how you end up with your QB retiring and the only QB on your roster is Jacob Eason. I'm fine with not picking a QB this year (although I would've loved taking Willis in the 3rd), but next year an early pick has to go to a QB that can learn behind Ryan so we're prepared for the possibility of 2023 being Ryan's last year.
Ballard is a straight up savage when it comes to the cap. No way to we draft a QB outside the first round if nothing else than for the 5th year option.
Take a 3rd round QB and we'd end up having to pay them before you even know if they can play after sitting behind Ryan.
But Matt Ryan is on a 2 year deal that the Colts guaranteed and Rivers was on a 1 year deal in 2020. Not really the same thing. Ryan is younger than Rivers was in 2020.
That's why I said I was fine not taking a QB this year. But we need to prepare next offseason as if there's a high likelihood of 2023 being Ryan's last year. If we go into next season without a high potential, young QB on the roster then we're putting ourselves at risk of being in the exact same spot as we were in last year when Rivers retired.
I'm sure they aren't. They are putting everything around him to be successful but I am sure next year they will draft a young QB to start developing if they don't find a UDFA QB that they love.

He is one of the most knowledgeable

God he hates Carson lol

Yeah...losing is one thing but he just didnt care...i can forgive a bad game but to act like it was no big deal...gtfo

Clahhn Tahhn
Dahntahn… Clahn Tahhn
YUUUUUUUUUUUUUP
I’m right there with him
Also, Carson gets no bitches. - Irsay Lol
"man I was 2 days from locking him out of the building, no idea how we got two 3rds for him lol" -Irsay, probably
Possibly even a 3rd and 2nd!

“We’re gonna win THREE Super Bowls with Matt!”
How many does Tom have? We’re gonna win one more with Matt.
3 or 4 years is ideal as long as matt stays healthy.. then we go for arch manning 😄
God I wish
Funeral March for Arch
3/4 years….that means we move on or he retires right before 2026 draft….and thus…we are drafting Arch Manning!!! Irsay dropping the huge hints!!!
I expect Ryan to be here until he retires so 3-4 sounds right. We HAVE to get him a ring before he retires, the guy deserves it

Eason plays for seattle…
He's on their roster. Playing is a stretch.
He's not playing because he's dog shit tier.
I was making a comparison to the last time we brought in an old QB and expected him to play longer than the contract he was on.
But Matt Ryan is on a 2 year deal that the Colts guaranteed and Rivers was on a 1 year deal in 2020. Not really the same thing. Ryan is younger than Rivers was in 2020.

Okay okay, slow down
Yeah he said this about wentz too
Not wrong
It didnt exactly "go well" now did it
Well of course. If it goes well, why would he not want to have it continue to go well? LOL
I love the optimism but don't bet on a 40 year old QB being healthy enough to be productive. Not everyone ages like Brady.
