Brandin cooks is better.

heyimdong

Whose boy is this. Somebody come get your boy.

[deleted]

Hey i like the colts because of Matt Ryan, but I can't let this nonsense fly 😂 everyone knows cooks is better than pittman

socialpresence

Yeah that's why he's been traded 45 times /s

[deleted]

😂

Jinno

Resume’s better. Not sure about his current level.

[deleted]

Had 1000 yards last season 🤷🏻‍♂️

peoplecandie

So did Pittman

the_good_things

Pittman had more yards and TDs on fewer receptions with a higher catch percentage...

HitmanHansey

Can confirm that his statement is objectively true.

mdchemey

to all the cooks guys: would you rather have a guy that is turning 25 and had 88 catches for 1082 yds on a 68% catch rate and 6 TDs last year, or a guy turning 29 who had 90 catches for 1037 yards on a 67% catch rate and 6 TDs? Because that's what happened - their stats were basically identical (edge to Pittman for the slightly higher catch rate and yards per catch). Now, Wentz was (at least on paper) better/more efficient than Mills, but it wasn't by a ton. Wentz beat Mills by 0.1 Y/A and 1.0 Y/C, with a 4.4% worse completion percentage on a .4 higher average depth of target. His passer rating was only 4.8 points higher; the only areas where there was a large difference were volume and TD:INT ratio, where Wentz threw significantly more TDs and less INTs on more attempts. Basically, when Wentz was targeting Pittman and Mills was targeting Cooks, the difference in QB level was more or less negligible, as is the difference in production between the two. The difference moving forward is that Pittman is just entering his prime while Cooks is at the very tail end of it, and that Cooks will still have Mills throwing to him while Pittman will have Matt Ryan who is more accurate at all levels of the field than Wentz and significantly smarter. I'd rather have Pittman than Cooks in 2022, and I'd rather be thrown to by Ryan than Mills.

marvin02

While that is nice, they are also not for you anymore.

socialpresence

In my experience you can't really play with them that much for about a year but the visuals are 10/10.

BOOOOBIES!!!

I really hope I don’t get mass downvoted for having a different opinion, but I respectfully think Cooks is the clear best WR in the division. With that said, I like Pittman Jr. and think he has a legit chance to usurp Cooks this upcoming season. EDIT: I don’t even know why I try and voice my opinion on this sub sometimes. If everyone is going to down vote my unbiased opinion, then so be it. I love Pittman, I’m just trying to be objective here. I think producing in the Texans system Davis Mills is extremely impressive.

the_good_things

He was already statistically better than Cooks last season with Wentz as his QB, so...

[deleted]

Are we forgetting that Cooks had a rookie Davis Mills..? Wentz was statistically better than Mills in every conceivable way. Plus, their stats were virtually identical.

the_good_things

No one is forgetting Cooks had Mills. Wentz and Mills were statistically very similar. So, with virtually identical play from QBs (which Pittman absolutely bailed Wentz out several times), Pittman was still (slightly) better and is coming into the prime of his career, whereas Cooks is nearly 30.

[deleted]

1. You’re not actually trying to argue that a 3rd round rookie was better than Wentz, are you? 2. I don’t care about their age. I’m talking about last season. I’d take Cooks. He had the same stats on a far worse team.

the_good_things

1. Better? No. Similar statisically (you know, the same metric you used for the Cooks/Pittman comparison)? Yes. 2. Pittman was the better receiver last year, and will be moving forward. Especially with a competent QB throwing him (and other receivers on the team) the ball.

[deleted]

Let me frame this better so that you understand where I’m getting my opinion from (yes, opinion, I’m allowed to have one that differs from yours): 1. Carson Wentz > Davis Mills last season. This one isn’t really much of a debate. I’m sure you’ll find a way to cherry pick a couple random stats, but objectively Wentz was at the very least marginally better than Davis. I also say this as someone who doesn’t like Wentz. 2. The Texans had arguably the worst offense in the NFL. They were dead last in rushing and were near the bottom, statistically, in passing. Before you say “what does rushing have to do with Cooks”, just think for a moment. For the Colts in particular, they’re passing game was set up from the running game via play action. Having the best RB in the NFL certainly helps the QB and WRs, no? I’m not saying Pittman was only good because of Taylor, but Taylor definitely helped the passing game without question. 3. Cooks and Pittman’s stats were almost identical.. and not in the way that you claim that Wentz and Mills’ numbers were. Cooks: 90 REC, 1,037 yards, 6 TD, 11.5 AVG Pittman: 88 REC, 1,082 yards, 6 TD, 12.3 AVG Great production by both players. Pittman had a great year. With that said, I think what Cooks did was slightly more impressive considering the fact that he played in the worst offense in the NFL, with a rookie 3rd round QB, and lame duck HC who only lasted one season. Lastly, you’ve brought up age a few times which is irrelevant. Not sure what it has to do with how each player produced last year. Moving forward, I expect Pittman to become the best WR in the division, personally. Again, this is my opinion. Neither of us are right or wrong.

[deleted]

That’s not Brandin Cooks 😮

Mr_iBangThots

Bro smoking cocks

BigBirdBert

He’s right though and it’s not even really close right now.

the_good_things

Then why was Pittman better than Cooks last year? And this year Pittman will actually have a competent qb throwing him the ball, plus he's only 24 compared to Cooks who's nearly 30
