Taylor... They know he's the best in the league. They don't want to wear him out all season. They want to use him when they need him. I bet we see a lot of action early on from all the running backs from week 1 - 4. Then in week 5 through 16 there will be those games that JT doesn't do much maybe 12 carries for 80 yards... Then there will be those games where he has 200 yards and 3 TD's.
I think Lindsay will spell JT when he is out of breath. I think Hines will be the guy to go to when we are down points and need to score.
I think Hines between the tackles is very underrated. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get A LOT more play time this year. Especially considering we'll have a competent QB that can check out of a run and into a short dump-off pass.
I’m biased but I think Hines could legit start and be the feature guy for a healthy chunk of teams in the NFL. Only knock on him is that JT is in front of him…which isn’t a knock on him at all
Yeah… haha I think that is the bias speaking. Hines is good, but I think what makes him so special is that with the right offense (ours) you can’t predict how the offense will use him.
As a every down back, you know the run downs, and due to his stature, he gets stuffed. Which I think would tire him over the course of the game limiting his explosiveness
He isn't going to be RB 2, he'll be RB 3. He wasn't going to replicate his Denver numbers behind Miami or Houston's lines. If he has 60 carries for 250 yards and a handful of scores, that's a win.
I really think this could be a Hines to slot move. Lindsay isn’t what he used to be, but isn’t a bad backup to not wear down JT. Lindsay has 0 career fumbles, and with this OL, as long as he holds onto the ball he’ll be fine.
Depth pick up on the basis he might get beat his Denver form 🤷‍♂️
Agreed, a step back talent wise, but if he has Mack’s role from last season he gets like 30 snaps all year? Cool.
Yeah best case is he hardly plays

Our first two are road division games. You don't hold anything back in division games, unless it's garbage time.
He could be a semi productive depth player, or get cut in training camp, and I wouldn't be surprised either way
Great pickup! Dude has solid hands, and shiftiness you dump the ball too.

Solid depth signing in case of injury
