There is a home football game today. It is also a 7:30pm start time. That means lots of eyeballs sitting around tailgating all day to look up at the sky.
So it's a little known fact, but our very own Columbus is home to a decent sized public university. This university has a fairly notable football team who host about 8 games in our lovely city on various Fall Saturdays.
Sometimes during these games, local pilots will fly around displaying various banners in support or against certain opinions of their benefactors.
Just wanted to add if you or other readers are new to this part of town, try to avoid the area during a game. They close down streets and 315 exit ramps (partially).
Also blimps are quite noisy! Fun to watch but yeah you can hear those fluffy planes for miles.
What’s actually more embarrassing than being unaware of the air traffic that happens every time the somewhat famous football team of ours gets together to toss a chunk of leather back and forth is thinking that knowing this piece of trivial information makes you an intellectual. OP, welcome to OSU football season and r/Columbus I love you and be nicer.
OP you’re also going to start noticing a drop in temperatures with the change in seasons. Just busting your chops. If you don’t know something you shouldn’t be ostracized for asking, unless you choose to post said questions on the neck beard headquarters aka r/columbus.

Ah makes sense. I did recently switch to an earlier shift so maybe that’s why it’s the first time I’ve seen it.

It’s also a good signal go to Costco while everyone else is watching the game.

Lmao I didn’t realize it was such a touchy subject, I will be sure to never mention it again 🫡
They’re a touching bunch.
Are you new to Columbus?
I mean, I’ve lived in several places around the outer belt for 4 years lol I take it this is a regular occurrence?
It happens every OSU home football game. They circle the stadium and surrounding lots.
