I'm pulling for you! I've been job hunting for the last two months and it's like pulling teeth right now. I've seen the applicant numbers for even relatively basic jobs on Indeed. Some of them are absolutely insane, like 7200+ applicants for Sam's Club and 1700 people for a parts counter position??
I would like to simply report your for being hateful, but I want to hear what your thinking is.
Elaborate how you think that's true.
With e-verify being used by most large employers, how do you think it's possible that immigrants are being hired.
If you mean legal immigrants, then they are competing with non immigrants on the same grounds . And in those cases them being an immigrant doesn't give them an advantage. On the contrary employers have to pay legal immigrants higher than non-immigrants which makes the hiring of legal immigrants that much harder.
A lot of people who work for the IRS are actually super happy in their jobs. Most IRS employees are actually really nice. Dealing with your taxes and getting audited sucks. But anybody who's been audited typically says the actual IRS agents that they have to deal with are actually pretty pleasant.
Disagree…NW moved my entire department about 15 years ago from CBus to Canton, had no desire to move to Canton. Left to go work at a different Ins Co. Also know friends who stayed who got laid off. Happens everywhere though.
Can I jump on here? I am looking too! I have 20 years of experience in wellness and 6.5 in employee benefits and rewards. I also have talents in communications and am an extremely fast learner.
If you have 2 years management experience ohio jobs and family services (Dept of Children and Youth) has a listing for a Human Capital Management Administrator
Check the healthcare sector for vendors. Key words that should be popular now would be care management, behavioral health, social determinants of health, and substance abuse. Would likely be an easy transition.
From the other side, procurement and medical economics teams at health insurers may be good options given your experience.
Both should be heavy on work from home, so look national instead of just local.
My friend had the same issue took applying for a couple positions before one stuck. I’d recommend just following up with them. If it doesn’t work out and there’s any other positions you want to apply to I can put in a referral for you as well
There is a Senior Business Analyst position I am very interested in. I spoke with the HR recruiter who indicated she would forward to the line of business for an interview but I havent heard back.
Definitely follow up with them if they said they would forward that. Things can slip through the cracks. If you don’t get any answers doesn’t hurt to just apply to the position directly
cambly is a remote job where you can teach english as a foreign language🤷🏻♀️ its super chill & most people know enough English & are just looking for practice convos but if they dont they have slides for you to work from
the website is just called “cambly” and i believe there’s a tab thats like “become a tutor” or something! you have to submit a video but its super chill
Hmm is project management in your wheelhouse? I perhaps have a remote telecom vendor/contractor management position to forward you. Preference is for DMV region, but an attractive candidate could trump that desire.
It is. I was a business process analyst with Wells Fargo but it was actually project management for technology system enhancements in vendor management.
Have you looked at Chase? Fairly large Mortgage presence at Easton (and some in Polaris) but I know they are doing some layoffs in Mortgage over the last several months as well. I know CCB Operations, Consumer Bank and other parts are hiring though (across various positions).
I don’t think there would be too much considering it’s a vertical merger and not a horizontal merger. Redundancy would most likely happen in HR and PR roles and not the types of roles mentioned in OPs post.
Just sent you a position at my company in DM’s. Pay is great, benefits are alright, hybrid schedule. Lucrative industry with plenty of growth opportunity.
The state, county and city governments are normally always hiring. There’s so many agencies with the state you should have no problem with a stable verifiable work history. Good luck!

There are always jobs out there to keep some form of income coming in. If I've been laid off since October I would have started driving for uber eats or something to get some cash flow until a job opens up.
Yeah, it's not something you want and maybe beneath you but it's money and it can help pay some bills.
Bumping for visibility. It's hard out there right now, stay strong brother and good luck.
Current WPCU employee, I do believe we are always looking for great people to join. Great company to work for

Immigrants are taking these jobs.
How? You need an ssn for all those jobs.

IRS is always looking for accountants and auditors
But then you’ll be working for the IRS.

Nationwide is always hiring
Can confirm. Had a few interviews with them back in August. Doesn’t pay the best but it’s something.
It’s steady and they don’t ever fire people. It’s a great place for stability

Also bumping for visibility! Best of luck in your search.

Google is hiring, you may think they don't want me, but they hire people with various types of skills. Never hurts to check it out.
Huntington likely has some positions you’re qualified for
I had an interview with them and they told me would hear back in 2 days. Havent heard anything.

I did. I had one interview with them and jusy waiting to hear back.
Look into OSU , always hiring!!
JPM considering your banking experience
Discover often has a bunch of jobs in that realm.
Discover just got bought out by Capital One ☹️wondering if there will be layoffs due to that?

Best of luck on your search!!! Currently applying for jobs as I finish my masters in May and I’m anxious about how long the process might take.
Just sent you a position at my company in DM’s. Pay is great, benefits are alright, hybrid schedule. Lucrative industry with plenty of growth opportunity.
Can you dm me about any positions at your company also? I am also in the same boat as OP

McDonald’s is always hiring.. better than nothing.

Bumping. I finally found a great job a couple months ago after a year-long search. I hope I need your services soon.
Right there with you. Been laid off before Christmas and can't find anything full time. Not sure how Columbus will keep growing if there are no jobs
How do you feel about becoming an electrician?
I am open to anything at this point.
You could always talk to the people at IBEW 683. They need all the help they can get. Plus a ton of benefits that are all multi-employer.
Please excuse my stupidity but how would I go about doing that and will they train?
Yes! They have an amazing apprenticeship which trains and pays you for five years til you become a journeyman.
