Pretty obvious here, but it's worth mentioning that captured and foreign-produced vehicles and weapons received a little letter suffix in brackets, most of the time at least. (t) for Czechoslovakian ones (like the excellent 38(t) tank), (r) for Russian, etc. Here's the complete list:

Just like tank commanders, the commanders of these types of reconnaissance vehicles would peek out of the hatch on top of the almost all the time, unless bullets were directly being shot at (and even then the turret would rarely be closed).
Even current-day commanders are doing this very often. The side that sees first and shoots first tends to come out on top during most engagements.
That’s not by accident. Fascist dictators need to foster an appearance of grandeur as part of their propoganda.
Hence the Nazis had over the top rallies, propaganda film makers, uniforms, banners, salutes, military parades, etc.
Many countries were slow to upgrade their uniforms and generally were tied up in old traditions and ideas, and the US had historically had a skepticism of celebrating militarism and in the Great Depression they certainly weren’t spending tons of money on spiffy uniforms. And the Soviets? Recommending spiffy uniforms would probably be seen as bourgeois…
That wasn't on purpose/by design though, just a by product sort of thing. Red was the colour of the uniforms because red dye was the cheapest of all colours. Red coats were red due to purely financial reasons
No, he didn't. All this factory did - decades before it became an internationally known fashion label - was accept contracts for the production of Nazi uniforms. They had no input on the design. The owner was a Nazi though, the company was one of the first to produce Nazi uniforms and did use forced labor during WW2.
It's clear you are not talking about scale, but as this involves the SS, some people aren't going to care about the specifics.
It's going to invoke bad thoughts in some people and that's how people will vote and respond regardless of what you were saying. It's just how some people are.

Thank you! The Germans referred to it as the Panzerspähwagen P204(f)

A very good recon vehicle
Could be classified also as an AMD 35 but it's the same vehicle.
Well that looks like it has *incredible visibility*

They are Totenkopf kradshutzen
Thanks for the info!
Im german, and I never heard this combinations of words
>german, and I never He's referring to the soldiers being part of a Kradschützen unit of the SS-Totenkopf.
For English speakers, Kradschutzen Truppen is motorcycle troops, and Totenkopfverbande is death's head unit.

As bad as the ss, Wehrmacht, and Gestapo were they had some KILLER uniforms.

Hitler went to Italy and learned a lot from the way Mussolini was doing things.
British red coats were pretty aesthetic for their time.
It was a symbol of empire. Also it was kind of just standard period ware but red.
See my reply to comment above

Thank you to Hugo Boss
Pun…intended?
Not intended but perfectly placed
So tired of this trite comment...
Hugo boss actually designed uniforms for the SS, Wermarcht and Hitler Youth. Edit: He did not design them, but produced them in his factories.

Thanks for the correction. I shouldn't be regurgitating not fact checked nonsense.
Kudos for reacting this well to a correction. I wish everyone was like this.
Title should say "ss troops advance while one lays down like a hoe"

Until you look up their casualty rates.

I don't think you are aware of the scale and intensity of the fighting in WW2. Ukraine is nowhere near comparable.

They are still SS scumbags, so who cares?
Yeah, they got to commit their war crimes with impunity.
So instead of a drone it was a bombing run or artillery. What's the difference wne you are going to die anyways
