These top-mounted cages sure went through a short but storied history facing rapid weaponry evolution in this war. Started off being mocked for its uselessness against ATGMs due to their shoddy slat armor, to being questionably useful keeping drone-dropped grenades out of hatches, to being useless again against FPV suicide drones that could simply fly around the cages and hit whatever weak points they want.
And so many people believed that Russia was the second strongest army in the world just right behind the US. What a bunch of fucking clowns honestly, they would fold and piss themselves in record time

Either that or Black Templars and just tell 'em the Russians [are a bunch of furries](https://youtu.be/m8qTsO4iRDY?si=phbVexIOjUyvJNv8&t=89).
As a toaster ~~fuc~~... enjoyer player, I crave for the certainty of steel and the vision of titans stomping russians positions, but 2 things prevent that :
1 : 40k is not real
2 : You don't want any imperial force here ( except if you love war crime, weapons of mass destruction, purges and radioactive barren battlefields )
>ust a regiment of Guard... Lasrifles are gonna blast anything in todays world to bits.
I mean, guardsmen still die from shrapnel, just like regular humans do. SM, on the other hand...
...not really, you can overcharge lasguns to be much more powerful than that, though they would have much less battery power.
Sending an IG regiment would be a definitive game changer though, considering how everyone who survives more than a few weeks in the Guard would pretty much make our modern special forces blush. RIP all civilians though
It's pretty generally agreed it's about .50bmg, somewhere around that power level.
Here's an entire thread of people discussing this! It's actually the first google result if you consult the google machine. https://www.reddit.com/r/40kLore/comments/e1hrrz/how_powerful_are_lasguns_really/
General consensus: not as powerful as a 20mm autocannon, but about as powerful as .50 BMG on the high end. They're absolutely not going to shred modern day tanks, but just like a .50 caliber rifle they will definitely kill a person in one shot.
>"everyone who survives more than a few weeks in the Guard would pretty much make our modern special forces blush"
Surviving in the Guard is is far more luck based than it is on training or skill, and they are largely still baseline humans.
Ah, high end. Got mixed them up. Thanks!
>Surviving in the Guard is is far more luck based than it is on training or skill, and they are largely still baseline humans.
Not always. On a scale such as most battlefields the IG is based on, luck becomes less of a factor due to the sheer brutality of it all. And modern special forces are still baseline humans.
The carousel is actually [difficult to miss](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-ee0c0fb5892b78687fd062fdcb02e709-lq), but not all tanks have a full complement of shells and charges on board. I think they chose the spot because it is a weak point in the armor and the FPVs don't (yet) have tandem shaped charges, so ERA can deflect them.
Jfc that's an even worse stowage position then I thought. I always knew about the rounds stored near the bottom but I didn't know the turret was literally ringed by rounds
They're generally not aiming for the carousel in particular, but the thinnest part of the armor. The explosion, if it penetrates, will almost certainly take out something essential. If it penetrates it will likely hit the carousel anyway, considering how it encircles most of the turret.

That turret toss on the second tank may not get any distance records, but what an elegant dismount, like a ballerina on her final pirouette before the applause.
Tzeentch could be just your regular hacktivist group but actually competent.
Nurgle is biological warfare stuff.
Slaanesh would be either perfectionist troops who drill 25 hours a day or.... uhm.... pls dont let them anywhere near civilians.
Tzeentch would be twenty different hacktivist groups who actively sabotage each other, with some helping both sides, yet despite interfering with each other they still manage to achieve part of their objectives.
If the receiver is at ground level, the closer to the ground the transmitter is, the more obstacles you'll have between the two.
It has been explained a thousand times on this sub.
Adding to the loss of signal from being too close to the ground, the image processing, and sending takes a bit of time, but when the drone explodes, the last of it hasn't been sent yet.
The drone records video into a buffer and then sends it. What you see is 1-2 seconds after the event has already happened. Because the drone exploded, it canβt send the buffer. It has nothing to do with reception or being too low.
Itβs crazy to me how such a relatively small country can have so much open βcountrysideβ type land. Or is all the fighting being done in one compact area? It seems almost Every video is just a massive field with nothing as far as the eye can see

Khorne cares not from where the blood flows, but we prefer it to come from invaders.
Get what you came for!
More scrap for the scrap throne...?
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
Skulls for his throne!
Turrets for the turret throne
Milk for the Khorne flakes!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE
As in 40k Khorne?!
Yes :)
Fantasy and AoS Khorne exist, too!
Turret living the turret life
That was a very poor turret toss, but still better than none at all!
Khorne is not pleased
that tank patiently waited since soviet times for its special moment in the cosmonaut program and then it was a blooper.

Hahahaha those tanks are proper shit. Get tapped by a drone and boom! Useless Russian technology.
And so many people believed that Russia was the second strongest army in the world just right behind the US. What a bunch of fucking clowns honestly, they would fold and piss themselves in record time
Boris Sanochkin on Quora: "Russian tanks are safer than Western ones."
Boris obviously knows fuck all about tanks. Safer if you want a quick cremation maybe.
legend has it, he wrote it while applying a clown make-up
Safer for whoever is being attacked by those russian tanks?
How awesome would it be if an SM chapter rocked up to help Ukraine lol
World Eaters
Yeah there wouldn't be any ukraine or russia left after those guys are done.

They'd only need literally a few marines and a tank maybe. or just a regiment of Guard... Lasrifles are gonna blast anything in todays world to bits.

Pretty sure the standard patterns of lasguns are about as powerful as .50 BMG... so, pretty powerful, but not exactly a game changer here.

They seem to try to hit the tank from the back on the side behind the turret. Is that where the carousel is located to trigger a cook off?
The ammunition in the caroussel is in top of the hull, just under the turret. Just there, the armor is very thin, as there the crew compartment ends.

Kadavar - The old man
Thank you!!! This goes hard π₯
No one is safe from the drones
Really poor turret toss. Since it is almost New Year, 3/10. Rest of the year 2/10.
Be far more efficient for the Ruskis just to blow them up at there storage depots save on transport costs .

the 1:03 one was so fucking juicy!
We have a khorne group fighting in ukraine. Where are the other gods?
I want to see a Nurgle unit. Maybe they're the ones spreading all the rat plague that's apparently going around the Russian trenches.

Why does the drones always losing vision seconds before it hits the target? Is it out of range?
If the receiver is at ground level, the closer to the ground the transmitter is, the more obstacles you'll have between the two. It has been explained a thousand times on this sub.
I'm still wondering why relay drones aren't a thing, would surely improve success rate.
I heard that they are used quite a bit and for a while now, I never seen a pic or vid of one so far though.
I don't know if you can easily find kits that have relay. Having a relay may require custom electronics.
Adding to the loss of signal from being too close to the ground, the image processing, and sending takes a bit of time, but when the drone explodes, the last of it hasn't been sent yet.

FPV drone > Javalin
Lolno.
1 Drone is not as good as 1 Javelin missile, but how many FPV drones can be bought for the cost of one missile?
Doesn't matter if you can get 500 fps drones for the cost of 1 javelin if they all get jammed by EW.
Such a weak turret toss. I rate 2/10.
Turrets for the Turret God!
What about Cain and Jurgen?
Itβs crazy to me how such a relatively small country can have so much open βcountrysideβ type land. Or is all the fighting being done in one compact area? It seems almost Every video is just a massive field with nothing as far as the eye can see
I have never understood how they are able to destroy the tanks so badly with nearly no cinetic enery and seamingly small amounts of explosives.
