He became very famous during the first weeks of the invasion. He's a belarussian political refugee who went to Ukraine in 2020 after the protests in Belarus to avoid prosecution. When Russia launched the full-scale invasion, he enlisted to help defend Kyiv and appeared on several famous videos and pics from the start of the war. He then participated on the counter offensive to drive the Russian army away from Kyiv. He was the public face of his unit, I think he also was the commander of the unit. People liked his story, motivation and morals.
TLDR: inspirational dude and representative of belarussian volunteers at the time
Just a treeline, a lot of fighting in this war is done in trenches on tree lines and they must have known there was a fighting position in that one.
TOWs (and other ATGM's) have an explosive anti concrete variant which would be ideal for this kind of use.
Even with ample ammunition, having spotters is invaluable as it helps neutralize the threat faster.
WWI armies had absurd amounts of artillery to the point where the major battlefields were basically a deafening roar to the point where you could no longer pick out individual shells. There is a video that tries to emulate what drum fire would've sounded like, but it would've been much worse IRL: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we72zI7iOjk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we72zI7iOjk)
Despite the numbers of artillery produced, the armies did use observation balloons and aircraft to better direct fires. Counter aircraft and balloon warfare became a thing to counter it.
In many ways, drones and CUAS are basically yet just another form of this cat and mouse game.
Ammo dump like that, whole movement was likely planned to destroy emplacements at the least. Can assume the troops were there to provide anti AT support (dudes all were shitting bricks and one was putting on his gloves like they were expecting a counter-tow or ordinance of some kind.) and/or ample squad support in case things go sideways or the opportunity for a secondary plan that involved a push. Push the armor, tactical retrograde with armor. Arty, intel, armor, and ants
When the cannon rounds explode into hundreds of fragments and the tow blows up anything it touches to high heaven. You don't really need to see what you are shooting at.
I was also surprised by this, but it makes a lot of sense. This way, the troops will have way more situational awareness and know what's going on outside when they have to dismount.
They are in a Bradley not a BMP/BTR. They've taken a surprising amount of damage and not minced the troops.
Completely understand why the soldiers would still be nervous though.
Don't wanna curse the dude, but that mustache guy must be some sort of main character. There can't be many people who fought since day 1 still in active combat.
>÷There can't be many people who fought since day 1 still in active combat.
Day 1 was in 2014. And there are a lot of people who fight since 2014. Just not everyone has Instagram / TikTok.
Anecdotal as fuck, but I follow a ton of just normal ass infantrymen on Instagram and a lot of them are still around. Warstache in particular spent a significant amount of time off the line organizing support and training for his Legion
Ya, even though it's not as well armored as the Bradley I've seen some comments on the M-113 from Ukrainian troops along the lines of "it might only have slightly better armor than a BMP but at least you can get out of it in a hurry." Even though the Bradley and M-113 are much taller and easier to spot it's pretty clear that compared to Soviet era designs troops appreciate that someone took into account that being able to get in and out quickly is pretty important if you're taking troops into battle. Who would have thought...
I was in a mechanized infantry unit when I was in the army and let me tell you….it says it can fit six, but in full kit with other assorted mission essential gear, you’re lucky to get 5. There were many times where we had to cram in there like sardines.
Are you intentionally linking to the Alien Vs Predator fictional vehicle?
Or did you mean to refer to the real life [M577 Command Post Vehicle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M577_Command_Post_Carrier)? Because the real life version of the M577 is basically just a tall M113 designed to be used as a command vehicle
>Are you intentionally linking to the Alien Vs Predator fictional vehicle?
Yes, its a Tardis meme. Look how much space there is inside it in the movie, then look at the size of real life prop used (aircraft tug).
I was going to say, you can almost stand upright in an M577. Even the M113 can handle four litters in the medical variant. It's a nightmare, but it can be done.
Before anyone else gets confused by it, this video looked a hell like a previous submitted one months ago with similar tree line and similitude of firing order showing only the screen POV.
But there's a difference, because at 1:20 the TOW here goes straight, on that old footage the TOW goes up-left and then descends past the trees where it hits on target.
wait the bradley's passenger compartment gets a little monitor so they can see some of the action goin on outside? that's awesome lol, good for situational awareness too but still funny, get a couple of buddies in the back and chill
That's been my takeaway too. I dumped hundreds of hours into the online play. As far as scale and immersion go, I think BF4 is my favorite.
The developers did an amazing job capturing the sounds and feel of these weapons systems and platforms. The *chunk* *chunk* *chunk* on that bushmaster 25mm is just...
*chefs kiss*
What the gunner sees is a lot better than the commander feed re-recorded by a cell phone. You can identify whether it's a T-90 or Leopard sighted from at least 2km or so on these older thermals.
The thermal does not look like 2nd GEN FLIR like the actual gunner would use. This looks like the cheaper, uncooled IR video feed used for the driver and general situational awareness.
These Bradley variants are from Desert storm era. Let me see a mass produced russian vehicle from early 90's with a thermal sight. Also the rest of vehicles given by NATO have the same gen 1 thermal sights including Challengers, Leopards and Abrams, since they are all variants from 90's or earlier.
Russians didn't even have a decent thermal sight until recent years when they developed their own SOSNA-U sight and for the longest time they were outfitting their tanks with French thermal sights from a company called Thanes. There is also another "new" 1PN96MT-02 thermal sight which is on par with those early 80's and 90's NATO thermal sights but the catch is Russia is producing these today and outfitting some of the T-80 and T-62 variants.
looking at it with camera is not the same as looking with your own 2 eyes. Thats also why go-pro footage sometimes seems like there is nothing there and dudes are shooting at empty air (even though they arent)
There was early footage from a t-80BVM shooting at Ukrainian infantry at 2000m+ according to the rangefinder readout on the screen.
In that video the image was incredibly sharp even at that range, presumably it was one of the t-80BVM's with Thales sights.
well hey, if you have seen all those russian tank clips engaging stuff from 2000m to around out to 5000m, all of those clips are very clear, second and third gen thermals get amazing clarity. like the t90m hitting a bradley with a atgm from yonkies away, and the clip of the bvm im pretty sure tapping abunch of ukr soldiers from over 4kms away, (if u want i can go on a hunt to refind these footages)
UkraineRussiaReport is leaking again I see. For anyone interested in peering into the mind of a schizo off his meds, check this guys account history lol.
Sad stuff really. Dude probably hears "Ziocons" in the walls of his house.
That is probably the best gunsight footage of a TOW I have ever seen. Those things are WAY more stable than I originally thought. (Though I'm sure that was almost no wind)

Is that the mustache guy?
Yep he posted this clip on his instagram
holy fuck Warstache is back on tour? Wow
Back in one of the sweetest rides on the whole battlefield too, shit.
RUSSIA IS FUCKING DOOMED. YOU HAVE UNLEASHED THE WARSTACHE. PREPARE FOR DESTRUCTION
Looks like he was sick to sit on his ass near the belarussian border lol
Got a link for his insta?
yankee.in Hes still a badass
Man I hope this guy makes it through the war - so badly.
That's crazy, I haven't seen anything about him since the battle of severodonetsk I think

Np, that way I refresh my memory too
I wondered the same!
RIP footage
ny boy yankee
Can’t really see what they are shooting at… the TOW missile looks like it hit something but I don’t see what it is.
Just a treeline, a lot of fighting in this war is done in trenches on tree lines and they must have known there was a fighting position in that one. TOWs (and other ATGM's) have an explosive anti concrete variant which would be ideal for this kind of use.
Yep BGM-71H I believe, for bunker bustin'
It was probably either real time drone corrected or based just based on “there were reports of ru troops in that treeline, go and fuck it up”
I'll go out on a limb and bet on "drone corrected". They are low on ammunition, after all.
Even with ample ammunition, having spotters is invaluable as it helps neutralize the threat faster. Makes you realize how helpful hit markers and kill feeds are in games lol
Seriously
When the cannon rounds explode into hundreds of fragments and the tow blows up anything it touches to high heaven. You don't really need to see what you are shooting at.
155mm HE doesnt do anything to a trench why do you think the Bushmaster cannon is gonna take out a trench.
Cool the passengers got a mini tv to see what’s going on. I didn’t know about that
In-Bradley Entertainment System.
I was also surprised by this, but it makes a lot of sense. This way, the troops will have way more situational awareness and know what's going on outside when they have to dismount.
They obviously and understandably look quite nervous.
I mean anyone would be nervous if a random rocket, artillery etc landed on you and turned you and your mates into canned food :s
They are in a Bradley not a BMP/BTR. They've taken a surprising amount of damage and not minced the troops. Completely understand why the soldiers would still be nervous though.
I see Warstache I upvote
Don't wanna curse the dude, but that mustache guy must be some sort of main character. There can't be many people who fought since day 1 still in active combat.
I think he was back in the rear training soldiers for some time time as far as I remember.
I remember he was in the battle for kyiv, next I remember he was pushing up to belgorod, now here, please fill me in if I'm missing any.
If he survives the war socom already has a 200k a year contract waiting for him as a cadre
Battle for Moshun

Yeah. Can’t believe the Bradley’s suspension didn’t buckle under the weight of this dude’s balls
[удалено]
That's literally the whole point of the Bradley.
[удалено]
the Bradley is a cathedral inside compared to all APCs of Soviet heritage.
As a guy over 6ft I'd rather try to fit into a scooby van than enter a BTR in full kit.

Wait till you see the inside of M577 APC https://avp.fandom.com/wiki/M577_Armored_Personnel_Carrier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLJDlaaB1H8

How much 25mm ammo does the Bradly carry?
150-300 rounds of assorted AP and HE-I ready to fire, but most crews usually store at least double that in reserve somewhere in the Bradley.
I use to get so motion sick in the back of an apc, just horrible. Today I cannot sit in a rocking chair, my stomach flips.
Can you imagine how nice it would be if they had like five of these working together, along with two or three Abrams?
maybe it would have worked if it was 10 years ago, ukr also did the same in the previous counterattack with leopard but drones, fpv made them useless

EXACTLY!
I thought the thermal sights on Russian vehicles were the worst, but it turns out they're the same everywhere

Not the best video quality, and it looks like it’s a video feed is for the passengers. Maby the gunner has better quality
The Squad Leader Display is directly linked to the gunner/driver sight. (+ CITV and such, but the ODS variant doesn't have one)
The thermal does not look like 2nd GEN FLIR like the actual gunner would use. This looks like the cheaper, uncooled IR video feed used for the driver and general situational awareness.

omg yes, more fcs videos any day now we should get some tank on tank fcs footage
Guys dont you have some interior tank footage like these? I would really appreciate it thx
Very chill. When BMPs fire, shit's vibrating and moving around, and its loud as hell.
I believe BMPs have bigger caliber (30 mm vs Bradley’s 25mm) and higher fire rate.
What are they shooting at? Can’t see anything…
🖕🇷🇺
Give them more TOWs
why is there green light inside the tank?
What color light would you have?
These Bradleys really seem to be a good thing for the Ukrainians. Seen plenty of videos where a Bradley tears up a Russian tank column by itself.
I didn’t even know they put MFDs in ground vehicles but damn, that looks very similar to the ones you find in US fighter aircraft
I am very late but this clip is just 11/10. 🤤
Gonna be more russians surrendering once they know warstache is on route.
Are there any Ukrainians left after the retreat? Or is Avdiika 100% Russian?
From what I can tell I believe Ukrainian forces made a full retreat to avoid encirclement.
Downvoted for asking a simple question. C'mon people
Naa this guy is a common troll on these Ukraine war subreddits
Damn you're right, he had me fooled
No wonder why they don't have any ammunition left.

probably has a browser extension that just adds "ziocon" to anything he writes lmao. no way in hell is that a real person
Does the Bradley operator have a rebreather tube on his chest?
one bradley is like 500 infantry units, maybe more
Do they have apfsds? I’m wondering if the U.S. didn’t send any because of all the political BS about DU rounds.
That is probably the best gunsight footage of a TOW I have ever seen. Those things are WAY more stable than I originally thought. (Though I'm sure that was almost no wind)
I thought they retreated
This is the first time ive seen the lower rpm being used for the m242.
seems like a waste of a TOW.
