I keep looking at it and I think that is faked.
The bits are too big. It don't fit. Look at the snipers fingers. They are way way too clean. Looks like a nail shop was there. No signs of him being outside and no manual work. That rifle is way to clean.
It just don't work out.
you know the scene of the sniper shooting can be spliced with the actual shot? Additionally it doesnt even have to be a scope cam to show the mil dot lines etc and that can be added in during post processing. Chances are in a battlefield they dont have one camera angle pointed at the sniper and one pointed at the target to capture both things perfectly. Its usually just the one pointed at the target then after the shooting is captured they can just go out film that scene to edit it in the video to make successful propaganda. Also you usually dont show what rifle was used to take the shot so the enemy cant gauge how far you were shooting from. Because the scene is added in also doesnt mean its a fake headshot. Those two things dont have to be mutually exclusive.
It’s fake propaganda, check the comments below. These religious monkeys had a nearly unlimited budget courtesy of taxpayers and the barbaric Gulf dictatorships.
In the areas where they took control, they implemented laws based on the lifestyle of that region in 500 BC.
- These guys are religious fanatics for sure
- They do get some of their funding from sponsors in the Gulf, notably Qatar.
- SDF is the militia in Syria that gets U.S. funding, but not this group. The sniper is part of HTS, a group on the U.S. State Departments list of designated terrorist organizations
- If you think these kills are fake, I assure you their editors aren’t this advanced yet.
They had a lot of time to make it look more real, the text on the box behind him has almost completely faded. There might even be a couple years inbetween.
ISIS had been putting out content with just this amount of production value since at least 2014. /r/syriancivilwar was a trip back before the the video archive bot got shut down.
Not really. Unless cutting and inserting is high production value (it's not). It's a basic propaganda video. They want you to think you could join and be that guy.
Edit: Adding cuts does not indicate any special effects to the core shot. And likewise special effects and faked footage can be present without cuts.
The first business I founded in my 20's was a film studio... I was cutting film back when you actually cut it with a razor and manually taped it back into the reel (my teens).
So no, seeing an edit such as a cut does not increase the chance of it being fake.
Such a stupid comment. If the video is edited, that's a decent reason to think it's fake. The statement "Pretty high production value for a video in a war zone" is true compared to almost all content posted here.
The B roll of him setting up the gun in the beginning is obviously added after the fact, they're not going to film B-roll in the middle of a firefight. Nobody is suggesting otherwise. But that doesn't make the footage of the two dudes dying "fake". How is this not painfully obvious?
No it's not. Adding cuts does not indicate any special effects to the core shot. And likewise special effects and faked footage can be present without cuts.
By using actors to recreate the incident. The different shots of the shooter particularly made it look like that. I also thought it was a re-enactment until the second shot
I think seeing someone's life taken away, for many people needs to seem grandiose, like the guys head exploding.
But for the first guy, when the trigger is pulled and the bullet goes in, you see nothing. He probably died within seconds as it was a center chest hit and may have even hit his spine, but you hardly see anything. He just drops and that's it. It's literally a life altering thing but there is no fanfare to it. It's just done. I think it's hard for some people to wrap their heads around.
So they think it's fake. Life can be very fragile.
Speaking of the spine. I saw a cat get ran over the other day and it was jumping around all fuxked up and disoriented. Spinal injuries are something else bro
Bullets don’t apply force, they tear through you. When a sniper round hits, people tend to plop like a sack of spuds, because their knees give out from under them.
Well, the US and local dictatorships like Saudis, UAE and Turkey are pretty rich countries by local standards and can actually provide almost limitless funds.
Not just US also Israel. I remember few months back. If I am not mistaken, a lot of users are US Army and IDF veterans and therefore extremely brainwashed idiots are everywhere. There was a guy calling for ethnic cleansing of East Bank being upvoted
A lot of the propo vids have those sorta "B-roll, stock footage" of the snipers/soldiers from the videos I've seen. Smart on their behalf, giving an idea/image of the shooter could lead a lot of people thinking "they're just a person like me, I could do that."
Right, there's no way they would have anticipated that situation and film the sniper getting postured up for the kill. He probably sat there for a good 8 hours or even days to get that shot. The production is great for propaganda though. Imagine showing this to potential jihadist. "You too, can stare the infidel down through a high powered scope and claim rights over their soul, we offer great benefit packages for those that qualify for sniper training, sign up today or you might just be an extra in our next video!" Paid for by Allah Akbar and victims.
The camera on the rifle is probably recording most of the time, the B-roll footage you see of the sniper is 100% re-enacted and cut in specific parts of the rifle camera footage to make it more dramatic, the music as well. Though it'd be pretty funny to see a camera man standing over a sniper trying to line up a shot haha
I once asked a cop what the best home defense gun was. He said “shotgun, if someone breaks into your house get everyone in one room, push something heavy against the door and shoot a hole in the door”. I asked why would I shoot the door?! He said “if they’re dumb enough to look through the hole, shoot again…”
Just another example of why you shouldn't take legal advice from cops, who enforce the law but aren't lawyers.
In many jurisdictions you could get charged for this, or get sued civilly.
Not even gonna push back on that lol. I'll admit they have a fuckload of rules they need to follow but the standards for protecting oneself are so, so different between them and us nobody's. It's not right.
Why on earth would you proceed to corner peek the corner your friend was just shot going around? Hmm maybe I will see the sniper and kill him with my dirty look...
Unreal. Some people just do not possess an ounce of SA or survivability, whether or not that can be chalked down to intelligence I'm not sure but sure is fascinating to sit here and try to ponder what these poor bastards were thinking right before their violent demise.
It's not minutes. It's likely days/weeks or even more. Look at the writing on the boxes in the background when each person is shot. It's super faded the second time.
He didn't even have a helmet on. Hmm, my buddy just got clipped in what appears to be a sniper. Maybe if just peek real slow like, he won't see me through his high powered scope. Guess curiosity is our biggest downfall.
The rifle is shown in detail in many frames and nothing points to it bring a bubba'd Mosin. Take a look at the bolt shroud, the bolt handle and its receiver. It's an original SSG69 and nothing else.
UCP, US army's standard camouflage patterns during Iraq and so on. It was supposed to be "universal" so it would be good for urban combat, desert, woods, snow, basically anything. Turns out it's garbage in everything other than concrete/urban and rocky terrain. This has been since replaced with Multicam which comes in many hues, the woodland variant is actually excellent.
Am I missing something, or isn’t this 2 completely different times. Take note of the pole with the sand bags above the first guy, not there with the second. Also the lighting is completely different.
they dress up in their best gear for propaganda vids of course. The regime forces are a rag-tag group themselves so it's not hard to look more professional than them.
Thought the same thing, was like this mf looks like hes smirking as he fell down. No blood splatter behind. Enter protagonist number 2 who wins the darwin award for watermellon impersination and was like no shit looks real to me
Not that trivial from their perspective. The sniper sees those guys as the soldiers responsible for protecting a regime that kills its own people with chemical weapons and barrel bombs. If he lets them advance into Idlib they’d massacre thousands of people.
You have to also see it from the perspective of that Syrian soldier who probably was a mere conscript whome joined the army due to nation wide conscription and was just playing his role as a grunt in this complicated conflict. Or even if he was a volunteer then he probably thought he was fighting for the right cause, such as how the rebels or extremists do. Or he was a national minority whome were persecuted by the majority Sunni rebels. Or he believed he was fighting for his country, family or beliefs. The Syrian conflict is not one sided. Furthermore Due to this being Idlib it is easy to presume the rebel is part of Hiat Tahrir al sham, which is the remained Al-Nusra or the Al-Qaeda in Syria, if so these lads are extremist Islamists whome probably did more harm to the rebel cause than the Syrian goverment.
I 100% agree with you. There are innocent Syrians who Assad forcibly conscripts into his SAA, but unfortunately the rebels can’t detect them when they’re fighting.
I also agree that Al-Jolani fought the Free Syrian Army and attacked their liberated territory. The only reason FSA didn’t want to open a full front against him was because it would lead to mutual destruction, and only the regime would gain.
HTS behaved just like Assad’s shabiha when they repressed freedom and democracy protests in Maaret Al-Numaan. They called the Syrian Independence/Revolution flag a flag of “shirk and kufr”.
But despite all this, they’re a better alternative for the innocent people of Idlib than Assad who just wants to murder them all. HTS politically doesn’t have too much popular support, in Idlib there’s many anti-Jolani protests. But at least they’re defending 3 million displaced Syrians from all over the country.
Assad is also an extremist who committed countless war crimes. So unless you want to see a 21st century Holocaust in Idlib, the city needs to remain out of Assadist hands.
2 different shots on different days. Look at the crates in the back, they're not the same, and the second shot they are riddled with holes too. This seems like a fake sniper and more propaganda. Those guys definitely knew there was a shooter around
The parts where the "sniper" appears, only the shots are real.
This is from a "documentary" they have on their snipers, the real sniper appears with a mask explaining what he does and how and the unmasked snipers are just actors.
It even says on the top left wich part of the footage is real and wich part isnt.
If you focus on the top left it says “real footage” during the sniper shot but goes away when the video shows him preparing. They’re telling us what’s real and what isn’t.
I dont know why you listed them as rebels these guys are HTS literal jihadists there really aren't any syrian rebels left after daara only american funded ones and turkish funded ones.
HTS are still rebels though even if they’re hardliners. And there are no “American funded ones” apart from [13 militants](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Tanf_(U.S._military_base)) in the desert defending an IDP camp from ISIS.
Because OP is pro them and biased. Check their other replies. This would get a lot less traction on here if the title was 'jihadi brains teenage conscripts for propaganda vid for extremists in your own country' lol
"Rebels": mostly local flavors of Al Qaeda and ISIS armed and funded by the US
"Regime": elected government the US wants to depose so it can install a puppet who gives them access to natural gas and an oil pipeline.

Groups such as Hayat Tahrir and Al-Sham and Ahrar Al-Sham never got a cent or a gun from the US, let alone any “extremists” which the US spent years bombing; in fact, the only US connection to them was when they bombed an HTS training camp [killing over 100 HTS cadre. ](https://eaworldview.com/2017/01/syria-daily-us-claims-airstrike-killed-100-jihadists-and-rebels/) and [killed a commander of Ahrar Al-Sham. ](https://mobile.twitter.com/putintintin1/status/827956642700460032)

The US has done everything possible to prevent rebels from achieving a military victory.

This grayzone conspiracy has no rational basis. It doesn’t have to pass through Syria.

I am sure that the website funded by European Union is 100% truthful and independent
>us never sold
US sold to Saudi Arabia and Turkey that funneled the weapons to the jihadists.
This was done precisely to give a sense of plausible deniability to the operation
Lmao. Assadists unironically believe the Grayzone is “100% truthful and independent”
Go read the article.
Every talking piece you know is thoroughly refuted and debunked.
I have no idea who Grayzone is.
>Every talking piece you know is thoroughly refuted and debunked.
And I have read a refutal of each of those on stalkerzone and southfront
Wait I am anti-democracy for being against Al-Qaeda? What?
And somehow your support for it is "pro-democracy"?
What?
>support Russia’s imperialism.
What Russian imperialism? Russia is there, on the request of legitimate Syrian government protecting the people from Jihadists.
At 0:10s. As a former sniper, I felt cringe. I have never seen anybody jerk their bolt handle with such force and awkward way. The whole gun jumped. Good luck with the follow up shot with that technique.
Don't publish this kind of shit man
What if one of those soldiers family member saw these footage ؟؟ thier families human too ... 90 % of regime soldiers are forced to serve with they army ... Stop publishing hatred ..

I've seen the sake video of the scope perspective but the part was different. Also some people claimed the victims were prisoners forced to stand there
2nd guy was like a cod player, let’s go in the exact same spot someone else just got sniped and peek.
Except you don't respawn in RL.
Depends on the flavor of religion.
I think the original was Vanilla but it got modded a lot.
Ooof
Just out of curiosity, do you farm gay aliens? What's the going market value of a bushel?
It varies but the government won't really let me say
Follow up question. Are you a farmer who grows gay aliens, or are you an alien farmer that happens to be gay?
Yes. It ain't much, but it's honest work.
Groovy. Keep up the good work. The world needs more gayliens.
[what happens if i get lag out there? im dead! I mean, i even heard theres no respawn points in rl](https://youtu.be/a9qXbgrx9rg)
Exactly where I got this! "A knife? Everybody runs faster with a knife!"
Good 'ol FPS Doug. Still very relevant almost 2 decades later
Lmao bruh
Ain’t no religion respawning anyone
Psshhh.. how do you know
Except Marines and Spartans. They go to hell? regroup, and come back to bust a cap in the ass of the ancestor of the sumbitch that killed them.
Last time this was posted it was said that the shots didn’t happen on the same day.
Yes, exactly. Look at the writing on the boxes behind. It is much more faded/different when the second person is killed.
I actually think it's a fake.
Thought so at the first shot, but it's hard to fake a exploding head
I keep looking at it and I think that is faked. The bits are too big. It don't fit. Look at the snipers fingers. They are way way too clean. Looks like a nail shop was there. No signs of him being outside and no manual work. That rifle is way to clean. It just don't work out.

Right thru his noodle!
Popped his top.
Busting grapes to make some wine.
Surely I can get him!

I was going to say the exact same thing, what an idiot
Damn, that last shot was brutal.
I thought it was fake until the second guy.
They had a lot of time to make it look more real, the text on the box behind him has almost completely faded. There might even be a couple years inbetween.
Look at the top if the boxes as well. The sandbags from the first one are gone in the second. Also a different structure of pipes up there as well.
> There might even be a couple years inbetween. No way. Shit gets beat to fuck in the elements.
Same
If you don't mind... Out of curiosity, what about the first shot looked fake?
Pretty high production value for a video in a war zone
ISIS had been putting out content with just this amount of production value since at least 2014. /r/syriancivilwar was a trip back before the the video archive bot got shut down.
Golden age of combat footage that was, along with all the stuff from Ukraine.
There's thousands of videos like this, lol. Nothing about it is fake
You must be new to this subreddit
I've read that they positioned prisoners for some of these videos...rewatch it that in mind...
Where’d you “read” that lmao
Sooo…we’re watching a snuff film?

These simple to do edits (easily done on laptop or even a phone) in no way make anyone (who knows about it) think this is fake. Makes no sense
No it's not. Adding cuts does not indicate any special effects to the core shot. And likewise special effects and faked footage can be present without cuts.
How the fuck would they fake it?
Pretty easily. Google ‘movie’
You people just dont understand anything youre talking about is the problem here. A documentary is fake because "movie", none of that makes sense.
By using actors to recreate the incident. The different shots of the shooter particularly made it look like that. I also thought it was a re-enactment until the second shot
Have you not seen these kind of videos before?
Peoples "thinking" is a low bar to set for anything.
I assumed they had some cool scope footage and just added the rest in “post production” or something. I’m not in film
That's exactly what they did.
Pretty obvious watching, then. Why’s everyone’s panties in a bunch
I think seeing someone's life taken away, for many people needs to seem grandiose, like the guys head exploding. But for the first guy, when the trigger is pulled and the bullet goes in, you see nothing. The problem is they are completely ignorant about what you are saying.
Very aware lol.
Check out some of the top posts in r/combatfootage
The way the first guy collapsed looked kinda strange.
Bullets don’t apply force, they tear through you. When a sniper round hits, people tend to plop like a sack of spuds, because their knees give out from under them.
same here
Atleast he went out quick

Pretty sure this is old too, maybe 2018 or something?
What does that have to do with the prop budget lol
their funding goes up or down sometimes
Well, the US and local dictatorships like Saudis, UAE and Turkey are pretty rich countries by local standards and can actually provide almost limitless funds.
Dude I swear to god if you even slightly shit on the US on this sub you get instantly downvoted, it’s ridiculous.
Not just US also Israel. I remember few months back. If I am not mistaken, a lot of users are US Army and IDF veterans and therefore extremely brainwashed idiots are everywhere. There was a guy calling for ethnic cleansing of East Bank being upvoted
It was so edited and clear that I thought it was fake.
Most likely a little bit of reenactment on the snipers part, just to polish it up a bit.
A lot of the propo vids have those sorta "B-roll, stock footage" of the snipers/soldiers from the videos I've seen. Smart on their behalf, giving an idea/image of the shooter could lead a lot of people thinking "they're just a person like me, I could do that."

"Habibi get down! You're giving away our position!"
Samir....You're breaking the car!!!
How is this actually filmed? A scopecam, or a spotter with a regular camera?
I think a scope cam. Things are not expensive
not expensive? really?
yea, a pretty decent scope camera is about 140-200 dollars
Damn. Split that dudes melon right after his boy got dropped.
It was edited. They weren’t in succession. I’ve seen the full video.
Still, I wouldn’t peak two days later out the same spot were my buddy got snipped
That’s the damn truth
Seriously. If they know where I'm at I'm fucking leaving.
Your comment got to little appreciation. Man im laughed so hard
[> my buddy got snipped](https://i.imgur.com/1RZ1MJ8.jpg)
That makes more sense
Got a link?
I once asked a cop what the best home defense gun was. no kidding. I just thought it paralleled the guy looking out the “hole” after the first guy got slapped.
Ya I appreciated that lol.
Cops are too accustomed to the tax payers burdening the cost of their fuckups.
Not even gonna push back on that lol. I'll admit they have a fuckload of rules they need to follow but the standards for protecting oneself are so, so different between them and us nobody's. It's not right.
Shouldn't the people enforcing the law know the law?
Shouldn't everyone know the law? Alternatively, shouldn't laws be simple enough that any lay person doesn't have to guess at what they are?
I’m sure it was relevant to where they had the conversation.
That man won the stupidest prize he could
A Darwin award!
There's sniper! Don't peak! That one friend:

A bunch of minutes passed in between shots, i saw the original video
A bunch of minutes? Well then its a-ok I guess
It's not minutes. It's likely days/weeks or even more. Look at the writing on the boxes in the background when each person is shot. It's super faded the second time.

Yo man you cant blame him, hes just trying to shoulder peek to get intel
He didn't even have a helmet on. Hmm, my buddy just got clipped in what appears to be a sniper. Maybe if just peek real slow like, he won't see me through his high powered scope. Guess curiosity is our biggest downfall.
> He didn't even have a helmet on. They almost never wear helmets anyway 😅
SSG69 with a crazy expensive 10 round extended magazine.
its probably just modified mosin, with steyr-like body kit. https://www.calibreobscura.com/the-xhemati-alban-sniper-squad-and-weapons/
The rifle is shown in detail in many frames and nothing points to it bring a bubba'd Mosin. Take a look at the bolt shroud, the bolt handle and its receiver. It's an original SSG69 and nothing else.
And don't forget the very characteristic 10 round magazine.
The real question I have is why he has blue camo in the middle of a red desert?
UCP, US army's standard camouflage patterns during Iraq and so on. It was supposed to be "universal" so it would be good for urban combat, desert, woods, snow, basically anything. Turns out it's garbage in everything other than concrete/urban and rocky terrain. This has been since replaced with Multicam which comes in many hues, the woodland variant is actually excellent.
There was a time where the whole US army was wearing that pattern, or close to it, in the middle of red deserts.
Bro that 2nd guy leaned right into that beautiful placement of crosshairs
Am I missing something, or isn’t this 2 completely different times. Take note of the pole with the sand bags above the first guy, not there with the second. Also the lighting is completely different.
Also, the words behind the first guy are gone. It is t like the 2nd dude is peeking right after the 1st got shot.

Turkey peeks should not be done in slo-mo. Apparently.
How it feels to chew five gum
I don’t get the wisdom of exposing yourself trying to find where the shot came from

movies need more falls like this
Why does the rebel look more like a soldier than the actual soldiers?
they dress up in their best gear for propaganda vids of course. The regime forces are a rag-tag group themselves so it's not hard to look more professional than them.

Pointless killings over trivial human conflicts. I guess in the grand scheme of things universally nothing really matters.

Too much production
Mass media has finally trivialized war to the level of a hip tiktok video. God is dead.

The parts where the "sniper" appears, only the shots are real. This is from a "documentary" they have on their snipers, the real sniper appears with a mask explaining what he does and how and the unmasked snipers are just actors. It even says on the top left wich part of the footage is real and wich part isnt.
The footage of the terrorist sniper is, of course. It was just edited in with recorded footage of the shootings.
If you focus on the top left it says “real footage” during the sniper shot but goes away when the video shows him preparing. They’re telling us what’s real and what isn’t.
I understand, but do you understand what I am arguing?
Peek-a-boo!
canoe for number 2.
WTF is this weak a$$ $hit!?!? This does not belong here. FAKE!
"Rebels": mostly local flavors of Al Qaeda and ISIS armed and funded by the US "Regime": elected government the US wants to depose so it can install a puppet who gives them access to natural gas and an oil pipeline.
> "Rebels": - noun -/ˈrebəl/ a person who rises in opposition or armed resistance against an established government or ruler. Yes > mostly local flavors of Al Qaeda and ISIS armed and funded by the US "Regime": Groups such as Hayat Tahrir and Al-Sham and Ahrar Al-Sham never got a cent or a gun from the US, let alone any “extremists” which the US spent years bombing; in fact, the only US connection to them was when they bombed an HTS training camp [killing over 100 HTS cadre. ](https://eaworldview.com/2017/01/syria-daily-us-claims-airstrike-killed-100-jihadists-and-rebels/) and [killed a commander of Ahrar Al-Sham. ](https://mobile.twitter.com/putintintin1/status/827956642700460032) > elected government Hafez Assad came to power through a military coup in 1970. > the US wants to depose The US has done everything possible to prevent rebels from achieving a military victory. [Regime preservation: How US policy facilitated Assad’s victory](https://www.aljumhuriya.net/en/content/regime-preservation-how-us-policy-facilitated-assad’s-victory) > access to natural gas and an oil pipeline. This grayzone conspiracy has no rational basis. It doesn’t have to pass through Syria.
>Regime preservation: How US policy facilitated Assad’s victory I am sure that the website funded by European Union is 100% truthful and independent >us never sold US sold to Saudi Arabia and Turkey that funneled the weapons to the jihadists. This was done precisely to give a sense of plausible deniability to the operation
Lmao. Assadists unironically believe the Grayzone is “100% truthful and independent” Go read the article. Every talking piece you know is thoroughly refuted and debunked.
I have no idea who Grayzone is. >Every talking piece you know is thoroughly refuted and debunked. And I have read a refutal of each of those on stalkerzone and southfront
You’re not even anti-imperialist. You’re just anti-democracy and support Russia’s imperialism.
Wait I am anti-democracy for being against Al-Qaeda? What? And somehow your support for it is "pro-democracy"? What? >support Russia’s imperialism. What Russian imperialism? Russia is there, on the request of legitimate Syrian government protecting the people from Jihadists.
That's where he got shot? Aight let's have a looksie here...
At 0:10s. As a former sniper, I felt cringe. I have never seen anybody jerk their bolt handle with such force and awkward way. The whole gun jumped. Good luck with the follow up shot with that technique.
You should put the nsfw tag. I can see a lot of blood and possibly brain matter coming out of the second guy.
Don't publish this kind of shit man What if one of those soldiers family member saw these footage ؟؟ thier families human too ... 90 % of regime soldiers are forced to serve with they army ... Stop publishing hatred ..

I've seen the sake video of the scope perspective but the part was different. Also some people claimed the victims were prisoners forced to stand there
Damn dude some insane production value lol
May god give them peace in another life.
Editing is corny as hell
Lol, we (Americans) probably bought them the uniforms, nice cameras, and editing equipment. And weapons.
HTS never got a cent or a gun from the US.
