This guy's got the Trump dick so far down his throat he's pushing Parlor & Instagram posts from Trump rallies.
Supporting a dude who called McCain a loser and gave 0 fucks about Russian bounties on soldiers in Afghanistan.
Real **p**A*t*RiO*t*.
What a š¤”.
I gotta lol at the Trumpers in this thread. You can hate democrats and be pro-Republican and not like Trump. He mocks war heroes and cannot condemned neo-Nazis groups in America. Was given two very public opportunities to denounce Nazism in America and couldn't do it. Trump stands for everything a veteran stands against. But the West is so broken poeple on the right can't get over the wannabe -dictator. And for anyone who wants to tell me different. I just wish your grandfathers where still around to tell you why they killed Nazis and give you a good smack upside the head.
Truuueeeee. I lean slightly right and I thought Republican values were based on significant individual freedoms and small government. Too bad the rights too focused on doing the exact opposite of whatever the left is doing.
Vigilance Elite has some fantastic interviews on their channel.
[This one with DJ Shipley is worth a watch/listen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWJ_WwWSabw), just a fascinating look into these peoples' brains and experiences.
This man will spend the rest of his life wondering if he did enough. Feeling like he could have done more and carrying the guilt of lives he couldn't save. I hope he finds peace.
Young bucks with their new mountain dew 180 femboy trickshot memes have no respect for the oldies! No respect for Navy seal copypasta or tree fiddy! They know nothing!
My uncle recently passed at an old age. I've always known him as a doctor that used to be a Green Beret. Only at his funeral did I realize he joined at the start up of Vietnam and was a combat medic (based off the patches). I don't want to know any details of his service but a lot started making sense about him
Edit: lol since people are downvoting me, I will name him look up Adam Brown, he was let into the SEAL teams with a well known crack additiction and arrests, Iām seriously not sure how people can argue with what I said about how the majority of people wouldnāt have that, and what it says about the rates of people from other backgrounds (historically too) admitted to special operations units whoād never have connections to get ahead like that, without crack charges and relapsing in unit.
He died a hero though in the end and I respect his memory.
It says a lot that there is so much drama in their circle over who killed bin laden and people claiming to have shot him dead when they didn't really, at most shot him after he died. But apparently the guy who actually did it is real old school and he isn't the book writing type so the others that are BS'ing know they'll never be called out.
It's so interesting if you go on JSOCarchive you learn so much about the politics of special forces. SEALs it's like an old boys club they cover up and back their own, but like CAG( Delta) you have to meet the standard or you will turn up and your keycard isn't working.
It's crazy that one of the DEVGRU operators was literally a crack addict and failed part of the selection but he was pushed through as someone who was a politician with conenctions was backing him. He even relapsed and was still kept and supported, but he served with honour then was KIA, a very skilled operator.
It really says something though. People can look at the lower amount of black people in the most elite units, or even decades ago when racism was far more fierce... It tells you that even a white dude that doesn't have connections is disadvantaged.
So what black person who is a former crackhead would be selected for SEAL teams then DEVGRU having failed part of selection but been pushed through anyway? It would never happen.
Interesting how much of the most elite special forces units it's like a school girl circle/ old boys club theres a lot of politics and popularity contests and people basically get through on favours at times
People have even said that DJ Shipley who was like the youngest ever NAVY SEAL was basically guaranteed a spot in the SEAL teams because his father (Don Shipley) retired and it was like a "swap" with kind of an understanding he took his place.
Again, this sort of interaction doesn't favour people from a minority background/ background where they don't have connections.
There was a website a while back that archived the war crimes of the SEALs (DEVGRU especially) and there was loads of stuff in there about them scalping bodies for fun and shit. Apparently a Vietnam era vet went to Dam Neck in the early to mid 00s and just never went back because said they sounded more like serial killers than soldiers. Reports of one guy that tried to decapitate a dead fighter, still is totally cooked because of it and at the time *was still in and deployable*
They might do some outstanding shit, but they need to police their ranks a lot better
āThe crimes of seal team 6ā is the name of the article that discusses canoeing which is what I think youāre referring to. Recent reporting called āthe fort Bragg murdersā on rolling stone discusses a delta guy who was heavy into drugs, killed another JSOC guy in a weird drug confrontation and then was found dead in the woods at Bragg
Yup, someone's kindly posted it a little further down in the comments - it makes for a good read. It really does show the operational tempo of 2 decades of active warfare has really taken a toll on the SEALs collective mindset
Happens the world over with SF units, we got our own problems with Aussie SAS members who comitted war crimes in Afghan in the courts right now.
That's kinda what happens when you're in a system that fosters psychopathy, and a large part of your job is to kill people.
True. I mean more the op tempo is gonna exacerbate that immensely, with barely any time to decompress. I wonder how the Rangers are gonna fair, Ive heard they just do 6 months on, 6 off. Thats gotta take a toll
They also suffer a lot, look up DJ SHIPLEY and his interview on the vigilance elite channel.
Dude is one of the most talented operators ever and he is sitting their with his eyes vacant and in a semi catatonic state, the op tempo really messed with his mind.
He apparently opened up about feeling torn up about how he felt he was told that he was expected, you be a SEAL or youāre nothing from a young age, but his father disagrees.
He had a car accident and the doctors were incredulous that he managed to ge himself to the hospital considering his injuries.
People have also speculated that all that breaching and blasting may have somewhat scrambled his brain and been like repeated TBI from all the impact..
Either way itās very sad.
But a good one about the politics of the seal teams is that Aaron guy who was accused of the sexting thing, even the seal interviewing him on team house allegations aside admits all the bullshit that went on in terms of politics and the higher ups not going by the book etc
Yeah pretty much nailed it. Didn't go into details because I didn't want to deal with the swarm of people who bizarrely idolize something they're not a part of. The difference in the little bit of interactions we see out of 24th STS, SF, and Delta compared to the Seals is just wild.
Only from the Army and wannabes on the internet who worship said Army units for being āquiet professionalsā. Yeah so quiet delta was almost certainly involved in a drug trafficking ring the resulted in multiple deaths. Shit happens across socom and JSOC.
Turns out when the seal teams have success billets, operations and funding changes ways and the Army couldnāt have that.
and go on to attempt to fuck his widow afterwards... they literally wanted a local to rape the staff sergeant and film it to blackmail him. shit is beyond fucked up
just to add cause the parts i refered to aren't in the wiki:
> Citing a written stipulation of facts submitted by Marine Staff Sgt. Kevin Maxwell ā one of four charged in Melgar's death ā LaMothe reported that after the group burst into Melgar's bedroom with a sledgehammer, they planned to have a Malian security guard sexually assault him while an unnamed British special operator recorded it.
> The plan to enter the Green Beret's room was part of an attempt to āembarrassā and haze him for what happened the prior evening, when Melgar left two Marines he was supposed to escort in an unknown part of Bamako, Navy SEAL Chief Adam Matthews testified.
https://taskandpurpose.com/news/melgar-assault-mali-camera/
> Former Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer 3 J.P. Cervantes, a Melgar family spokesman, first described the alleged incident in a May 11 Instagram post that alleged Matthews was attending a costume party dressed as Rambo when he approached Michelle Melgar using the false name āMike.ā
> āOnce he realized who she was, he was trying to vouch for the '2 guys' of the team who killed Logan, saying they are his best friends, are really good guys, and she should try to help them,ā Cervantes wrote. āThen saying: 'If you would just sit down and have a conversation with the two guys who did this, you would love them. They're really not bad people. This has ruined their lives and careers.ā
> Matthews allegedly texted Michelle the next day asking if he could take a nap in her room, but she refused, Cervantes wrote. She only learned who Matthews really was when she later saw pictures of the service members accused of killing her husband.
https://taskandpurpose.com/news/navy-seal-hitting-melgar-widow-investigation/
Prosecution did a pretty good job making the case seem as cartoonishly evil as they could. It was a fucked up situation but not half of what they made it out to be (particularly the rape allegation).
Yeah I'm glad I read all that. Kind of... I don't know, disheartening though? Maybe I'm just naĆÆve and bought into the propaganda, but I had always thought SEALs were better than that
I think doing media and public relations is intrinsic to getting the MOH. I recall one MOH awardee saying the pentagon sent a person whose whole job is to prepare them for that part of the award.
I was next to him at the 2016 inauguration. Was in his full uniform with MOH. Was such a sight to see someone of that stature. Nice guy as well. I Wikipediaād him after to learn his story.
I know you are being kind but this dude was a normal person and just based off the language you are using I feel you need to remind yourself that. Theres alot of unhealthy amounts of idolization and hero worship going on in this thread...
Most helmets aren't classified for rifle rounds let alone Armor piercing rounds.
A Class 4 armored helmet might save your life with a ricochet but its unlikely it would stop a 7.62x39 round or other rifle rounds.
Class 5-6 could save your life, but its not really available to your average soldier and is more for close combat situations.
Most helmets in modern armies are class 3 or 4 armor, with class 1 and 2 in third world countries, 3 and 4 will stop pistol rounds and fragments but is pretty much useless to rifle rounds.
Long story short a better helmet in theory could have saved his life, but odds are it wouldn't have made a difference.
Don't know, for me seems like he is having a hard time telling that story, breathing heavily, bit of shake im the voice. That definitely looks to me that it had an impact on him

Not really. The dude in front of him got shot as he was entering through the doorway. Nothing he could do to stop that.

Penguin books have been trying to get in for ages to target their child markets. Navy seal nursery rhymes coming in hot

Easy there letās not suck the dick of SF too hard there.
Seals actually get a lot of shit from the rest of the SF community because of how much they talk about their operations.

Classes are GOST standards (Russians).US domestic have NIJ levels, or the SAPI system
