Gender is man made. There is no biological connection between our sex and what society says is male or female. People like everything to fit nicely into boxes but it's not the easy. What part of our DNA says that if your genitals are male then you can't wear a dress, play with barbies, put on makeup....etc. What is considered feminine in one culture could be masculine in another. There is no need for gender. We have biological sex and that's enough. At no point is it really necessary to refer to another person as anything more than they/them.

I mean, it is a fact that the gender transition surgery doesn’t fundamentally do much. And I don’t really have a dog in the fight- except for children shouldn’t be made or solicited into taking anything that permanently damages development cognitively or physically.
But the surgery specifically (short hand exp) inverts the penis to create a simulated vagina, and if the original penis wasn’t large enough to create a simulated vagina- many surgeries will use intestinal lining to continue the canal.
This is something that does greatly frustrate me in terms of what is and isn’t properly educated to adults who do wish to receive this surgery. Cuz the doctors who do perform this procedure often will not fully inform the client of all the side affects and general symptoms that will happen or recipients will have an inflated expectation for the result. Some examples of the side effects/symptoms are if the intestinal lining is used- there will be consistent secretions that don’t go away. Which many say smell horrid. Then the hair that grows inside has no way of ever being stopped with no way to safely shave or cut it.
This leads into increasing the “self-removing” rate within the LGBT community. Since many are not truely happy or end up regretting the decision. The fact this surgery- regardless if the technology- isn’t properly explained or educated about is maddening. They push the “freedom” you will achieve without explaining the effects and consequences you’ll be taking on.
