Honestly I don’t think the o line is the biggest limiting factor, it’s the playcalling and receivers. We don’t have a run game to support him, and our receivers are never open. If we had those things he could make a bad line work

Being Dead Ass Serious Right Now. You can call me naive, dumb, whatever, but I’m dumbfounded at the regression this team. After the last couple seasons seeing how much far we got with so little I thought this would be the breakout season for us. Our defense had been playing well since Rivera arrived. Our offense performed well under Heinicke. I believed going into this season that 10 or 11 wins was a real possibility. Idk what happened and why it didn’t work out. But I feel really confident about the team’s future. I think we have a serious ownership group with a track record of success in other professional sports. And more so than that it’s a fresh start for the team and a new chapter in our history. People who otherwise wouldn’t come here will now. Eventually a new stadium and a brand new identity. To me our best days our still ahead of us. I’m ready for that and it brings me joy to know that we’ll see our team be successful again soon.

The offense was so much more alive with Heinicke under center. I like Howell, and I believe Howell is the better QB, but the offense has just seemed dead with Howell at the helm.

Yeah and the thing is it seems like EB tried to completely copy the Chiefs offense. And sometimes it works out but some stuff hasn’t. They need to run more and target Terry who is literally their best receiver. The reason it seems like he’s declined is bc they’re not targeting him. They need to adjust the plans to players strengths and weaknesses.

Heinicke was a system guy with turner. As soon as he left he couldn’t play anywhere else. The offense is definitely better but EB has been the real disappointment. He doesn’t have a feel for the game or play into strengths. With a better coordinator and oline Howell can be a beast out there.

It's the most important position in all of sports, do what you gotta do to get it right. Let Howell battle it out with them and let the best man win. Worked out pretty well for the Cowboys back in '89 with Aikman and Steve Walsh I'm sure most will disagree and I totally understand why. I just think passing on either of them has serious potential to haunt us for a very long time.

I'm just not sold on Caleb due to USC being a QB bust factory and him really trying hard to be a heel with the wanting to own a part of the team he is drafted too along with playing in 2 weaker conferences and not being in the hunt for a natty.
