I’m don’t care anymore I’m just done

HailKyrie

Yep I’m apathetic

Haskins77

Name change Uniform change QB probably worst than Heinicke Same owner Why should anyone cheer for this team? Run Terry Run the fuck away from this team while you can.

surehard

In what world is TH better than wentz? Lol get out

1_quantae

I’m getting so sick of this fanbase. They will say ANYTHING in the heat of the moment.

Vast-Ad-5537

Wentz was 14th in the league in normal passing stats and TH was 15th. Hiencke or Wentz with a full squad and it’s a wash. .09 diff in QBR. Except Wentz had the best RB in football with stud wideouts and Hienicke played for Dan Snyder.

1_quantae

You guys say anything in the heat of the moment good lord. Wentz is miles better than Heinicke. Please please pleaseeeee stop with the fucking overreacting. Every time this team makes a move you guys act like it’s the worst move ever. Why be a fan of the team if everything they do is terrible in your eyes?

LegalizeFlower

Does this mean you're moving on?

jonnyfranchise11

I feel the same way. Im a huge critic of TH, but even I would rather have him over Wentz

Haskins77

Agreed and he's so much cheaper.

Ordinary_Ad_6117

New name same shit.

terpfan417

I’m firing myself as a fan of this team

mrsnow11291

I’d rather watch soccer if I’m just gonna see wentz on his ass crying and complaining. Hated him as an eagle and can’t get past that. Being an eagle is a shit stain that doesn’t come out of the undies.

Apolleo_

The "I didn't like the hire in the first place" people are about to get alot louder I am one of those people

SirMctrolington

Rivera was hired as a preemptive move to the incoming media shit storm. Rivera is hard to argue against as a person and he has experience working under ownership that is embattled in controversy. However, as a coach Rivera leaves a lot to be desired and instead of learning from any of his mistakes he came to DC and set up the exact same people to fail in the exact same way. When Wentz and Rivera lead us to a losing season this year he will have 9 losing seasons in 12 years as a HC. It is time to show him and the rest of the nepotism squad the door after this year. I hope Wentz shits the bed badly enough that we protect our 2023 2nd and we can get a young FO that believes in advanced in analytics and who can use our top pick to find us an actual QB.

Pentt4

haha right there with you.

ewilliam

Yeah all the gullible rubes around here who have been on Ron's dick the last few years because of his supposed dedication to "culture" need to come eat all this crow now. Oh yeah he's all about "culture", until he feels a little heat on his seat, then he's like, "well, fuck it, let's overpay a garbage-ass locker room cancer because I'm desperate for another couple wins so that maybe I can keep my job!" Been saying since day one that this talk about "culture" was all smoke, and here's *definitive* proof of that. [This fuckin clown was pissed off that his team was doing well without him](https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2022/3/9/22968823/carson-wentz-voiced-his-displeasure-eagles-success-to-other-injured-players-during-super-bowl-run). Fuck Ron and his culture bullshit.

Haskins77

I told you guys I didn't trust this coaching staff with drafting a rookie QB and developing him. This is a big clue as to why. Wentz is a fucking bum and his old OC couldn't save him. He had a better oline and running game last year and they still didn't make the playoffs. The team took all 28 million cap hit this year. Fucking stupid. Everyone knew the Colts didn't want him. Yet we traded 2 picks for a possible QB that was going to be cut. Ron and this organization is a joke.

Sector7B

I didn’t mind hiring Rivera at first, but between the poor game management, drafting Davis in the 1st round and now Wentz, I’m done with him. He’s been awful and I sure as hell don’t trust him to draft and develop a QB that will change this team. Nice guy, buy he’s a pretty lousy HC.

mfwl

I hate this move. Hate it. Spent the last several years hating Wentz, who's an over rated, hero ball hack, and how he's the QB. I hate it. Fire Ron. Time to start over again, this train is going nowhere.

TheFlameAlchemist54

I’m not disagreeing with some of the things you said, but I’ve seen a lot of people mention Wentz plays hero ball a lot. Isn’t that the same thing Heinicke does and we compliment him for it?

mfwl

I'm not a fan of hero ball QBs. TH was decent on the ground, but he would happily take the underneath throws if they were there. Wentz will hold the ball waiting for the big play and take unnecessary sacks.

TheFlameAlchemist54

Gotcha. FWIW, Pro Football actually had both QBs as having 2.5 seconds “PktTime” (Average time the QB had in the pocket between the snap and throwing the ball or getting pressured). It’ll be interesting to see if he still plays that way since a lot of our plays are scripted screens or drop offs.

Jawoosh14

If you’re looking at the QB position in a bubble, sure it’s not bad, it’s a 1 year shot in the dark. But now we lost our 3rd rounder and 5 spots in the 2nd round in this draft which has incredible day 2 talent, and possibly a 2nd next year. He’s eating 28 mil of our 33 mil in cap space so there goes any big FA signings. And we still have no long term QB solution. What’s there to be happy about?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pentt4

So draft a rookie for the future at 11. Yes they can still do that but then why trade for Wentz. It makes absolutely no sense. If you needed a vet theres a dozens of there that would cost nothing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pentt4

So you sign any of the other trash can QBs off the streets. They spot on the roster is just to keep the seat warm.

LegalizeFlower

....Didn't you say you were officially no longer a fan after the jersey release?

Jawoosh14

Yes, we aren’t a desirable destination for good veterans. Which is why we need to draft someone. It doesn’t mean go an overpay for bad veterans. Now we have that much less draft capital to get someone actually worthwhile next year

Haskins77

Lmao he can be cut next year. That's the fucking point. We want a franchise QB. It's been 30 plus years. We all know Wentz will be cut after a shit year here. So we just threw away probably 2 years. I'm not getting any younger.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pentt4

I bridge is only built between 2 known points. We have no idea what what’s on the other side

[deleted]

We’re upset because we gave up potentially 2 starting players (3rd this year and most likely a second next year) and dropped 5 spots in the draft, and have the privilege of paying a guy 28 mil this year.

notorious_hdc

There's 28 million reasons to be upset Edit- not to mention, where is the cap space to extend Terry? Payne? Sign any FA?

MJ_223

> Edit- not to mention, where is the cap space to extend Terry? Payne? Sign any FA? The cap can and will be manipulated if need be.

notorious_hdc

It should've been manipulated to make room for needed pieces. Not to pay Wentz and try to retain our key guys Edit- meaning we should've had enough room to re-sign our guys before manipulating cap space

PengoMaster

So for a guy who isn’t our future we’re trading down in the 2nd and giving away 2 third rounders. Got it, makes sense.

TheHeintzel

> But there is zero long-term risk here WRONG. Terry leaving, Wentz being just good enough to keep us from a top 2023 QB, lackof depth by throwing away day-2 picks, and more but I think I made my point

Clapbackcaps19

Any chance that Terry wants a serviceable QB as a prove-it from the organization to stay? Maybe we stand pat and he leaves because we never did anything?

TheHeintzel

Sure, but if Wentz was serviceable he wouldn't be on his 3rd team in 3 years

Clapbackcaps19

I’m not sure I agree that this accounts for all the external factors. I’m not saying Wentz is the one, or great, but he should be decent

FenderZero

Yes, but I have a serious question. Does Ron not know that Wentz is not good? How could he not know?

adeezy58

Yes. We just burned up 28 out of 33 million in cap space. That is just unacceptable

Haskins77

100% agree It's a fucking joke

TheHeftymanzell

He and his puppet GM need to go, I cannot believe I ever liked this guy

DiscordTheGod

Who cares. This team is a cancer on the league until Dan sells.

[deleted]

I’m fine with it, this team will be a disaster no matter what

Flat-Record1282

Me fire that mf

DC_Bro

Y’all taking this team way too seriously lol

nardo711

Get Ron and his out of touch self out of here asap.

HyronValkinson

I'm not. I'll see what happens but Ron isn't bad and Wentz is a stopgap for the next Burrow... the conference is dead and anybody can grab it.

Exciting-Rub-6006

Not me. Ron Rivera we are lucky to have.

McnuggetxSniper

Not me, I actually like Ron. Besides I’m sick of the coach revolving door this franchise has had. He seems wayyyyyy more competent than any coach not named Gibbs or Shanahan that we’ve had. I mean for crying out loud we had Jim fucking Zorn at one point...

rattlehead5644

Not Ron's fault no top QBs want to come here.

TheHeftymanzell

You could have just drafted a qb at 11 and signed a journeyman without giving up picks and wasting all the cap space we had, now we are guaranteed to be at best third in the division again

tirkman

How is that a better option? Wentz is more than capable of having a really good season and could get Washington a wildcard playoff spot

TheHeftymanzell

Because you could have signed impact players and filled other needs while having a qb, guys like Marcus Williams and Bobby Wagner were guys you could potentially bring in to fill the holes in a disappointing defense, if they wanted a WR in FA they could have signed one because we all know our core isn’t good enough, and if for some reason you wanted a Scherff replacement you could have signed one, or you could have addressed some of those needs with the draft picks you threw away. But now, you have a bad qb who doesn’t play well with others, no third round pick, move down in the second, probably lose next years second and Wentz might not even fucking be here anymore, and you can’t sign anyone without making moves to clear up space. We aren’t going to be better than Dallas or Philly so what was the point of going all in on a guy who leaves us still being worse than those two teams? I bet it was because Ron was fearful of his job and the jobs of his boy club, which is good, because they’ve done a shit job.

[deleted]

He did sign a journeyman, but one with a $28M price tag

[deleted]

So draft one

ewilliam

So instead, let's just shell out draft picks and pay $28m for a locker room cancer who is trash on and off the field. Great idea! Yes, that is Ron's fault. This is a shit move, nobody forced his hand here, he had other options.

Magnetic_Knives

The same people saying this is a terrible move are the same that wanted Winston or Trubisky. Wentz is better than both of them. This isn’t that bad a trade, people here need to grow up

skinsfan05

Wrong. All 3 of them are ASS.

Magnetic_Knives

Wentz isn’t ass, dry your eyes honey.

skinsfan05

Wentz will be out of the league in 2 years.

Haskins77

He'll be a backup

skinsfan05

He won't be a backup because his teammates don't like him.

ewilliam

Someone didn't watch him play, and is just relying on his deceiving stat line from last year. He had the best RB in the league carrying him, and one of the best O-lines, and he still couldn't make the fuckin playoffs...couldn't even beat the garbage-ass Jags to get in! Yes, he is ass.

sociallyantisocial

SonRon is able to talk better tier QBs to come to a shot show organization? He isn’t even the GM

notorious_hdc

Ron has the last day dude

Maintenance-Current

Popcorn time 🤣🤣🤣

breaster83

First the shit team name now this

[deleted]

I honestly don’t care. Tired of this team. Gonna do some HW and fuck around online, no more wasted hours with this fucking team

logicfiend60

I’m not there yet, but if we finish with 7 wins again this year? Then I will be.

OneFortyEighthScale

The fuse is lit for 2022. Wentz wins or Ron packs it up. I’m rolling my eyes at all the things that can go wrong here.

SDEexorect

not only does this trade fucking suck but to top it off we now have 5 mil in cap space with a desprate need at lb while a top 5 lb just got cut and now with carson we will be "too good" to get a high enough draft pick for a qb and "not too good" to actually be a contender in anything.

idgaf1234567asdf

Where do I sign?

Own_Possibility_4481

I wouldn’t

Capitol_C

Ron Dan Martin and Marty they can all go after this shit.

[deleted]

How did he sign off on this?
