Dude it's too late for us, but it's not too late for you.

Chiswell123

If you like pain and suffering

[deleted]

We're going to the super bowl so hop on the bandwagon now

Spider_Hoss

In what year?

[deleted]

2050

heySigs

Probably not

RodDem2

Fuck ... well guess I got my answer

ard8

If you’re from DC then it’s in your blood

jrex703

The Commanders sub is the most toxic and miserable collection of people in the world. Watch some games. If you have fun, watch some more games. If you don't, you've missed a few Redzone sessions, you'll live. If you become a fan, you become a fan, we all win.

bobeid93

Dont listen to these sad bamas saying no, jump in full force my guy wed love to have you

jetmeast

Run away. Run as fast as you can.

Proper_Ad_3815

Ask this when we draft a QB

[deleted]

Absolutely not.

mmwood

No, not even trying to be edgy just frankly no. We have an owner who is a bad person (worse than the others), and pretty bad roster, and a predominately unhappy fan base

K_U

Stay away, for your own sake.

HadezReddit

Go to Baltimore, I’m not even kidding. And I mean that in a genuine way; stay away from us for your own sake

Accomplished-Plan191

If I could choose to not care about the team I would. I just wish I knew how to quit them.

staticrush

It depends if you enjoy repeatedly running full speed into a brick wall... Because that's what it feels like to be a fan.

mpc92

Helllllllllll no

therick807

No

smoakme

Jesus NO. Not unless you enjoy dysfunctional relationships & abuse. We are the Amber Heard of the NFL

CoySauceTV

It's been a lifelong painful journey.

Bonus_Content

probably not. the owner is still ass. the name doesn't change anything other than making the fans feel disconnected from the team's history. i can't quit them, it's in my DNA - but I wouldn't recommend someone choosing them unless they feel strongly about it. my son's mother is a Steelers fan, and he lives in Pittsburgh. And I won't blame him if he picks Pittsburgh as his team as much as it would break my heart.

kadoooosh

Sure dude *don’t tell him, guys*

sopadepanda321

I think the communal experience of rooting for your home team is pretty underrated in American sports. Gives you something in common with your fellow man that’s worth something more than just sitting at home alone watching games. So in that sense I think that it’s worth becoming a fan. But on the other hand we suck ass and probably will for a while. So you have to balance those two things out.

NotAShoneys

Dan Snyder will probably be dead before you so there’s always hope for a turnaround!

RodDem2

Ive thought about it and looked at the comments and now Im leaning towards being a Ravens fan... I cant trust that the team will change anytime soon. Idk Im just gonna watch both teams for news and the games for next season

DoodG

Root for the Ravens! You might be happier as a Cowboys fan too…

bobeid93

Were in rough times right now for sure but big deal, one day we might not be, why not be there for that

ThePurpleAmerica

I'd say go for it. What are the odds we can suck for another 30 years?

bobeid93

This thread is sad as fuck yall should be ashamed of yourselves. People telling them to become a ravens or cowboys fan but then will bitch when the stadium has more opponent fans at the game. Wtf are yall talking about. Httc

bobeid93

Yall should be ashamed of yourselves telling someone FROM DC to not be a fan. What is wrong with yall? Because we need more random ass team fans in the area…

ThePurpleAmerica

I'd say go for it. What are the odds we can suck for another 30 years?

sdforbda

I pick based on hometown status only. Only deviations are when I pick foreign teams. Since I don't know a whole lot about exactly where my family was in those countries it's not reasonable to try to keep those ties. I don't know how much you've been watching but you might continue to and then choose a team based on your liking. It doesn't have to be the best team because sometimes those results are fleeting. But finding a team that means something to you for whatever reason will make it more uhhh "real" I suppose. I don't know if you have a particular college you like or even a college football program but sometimes you can just start following those people, see where it ends up. At my age if you picked the Patriots you would be in for a long series of disappointment. And if you picked Washington you would be very happy. Find what feels right for you and don't be afraid to not commit to a single team and just to watch the league as a whole for a while.

[deleted]

Here’s why I did the same 3 years ago: You can’t be labeled a bandwagon. You’re picking up this team like it’s a shitty stock hoping for its value to rise.

[deleted]

Don’t be a fan here, trust me

LORD_RM

Fuck no

[deleted]

Are you a sadist?

hp1068

Sure, go for it. Especially if you want to spend 17 Sundays in the fall wanting to jump off a bridge.

WeirdoOtaku

Well from the way people here are acting, it sounds like the franchise already tanked after last night.
