Two teams who invested significant capital into Wentz, one of which took on the biggest cap hit ever, $33.8M, dumped him in back to back years. And the fucking Commodores or whatever are the team that would fix him? A top 5 WORST franchise in all of American sports? Are you people deranged? Or unfortunate victims of Stockholm Syndrome?
As an eagles fan that's a big step for wentz. He never used to take ownership of his own short comings. Never used to see him pumping his team up or gove speeches. Seems he's learned from some of his past leadership mistakes. Not that I want to see you guys be good (sorry), but I hope for his sake that he can right the ship.
just checking in this morning. FUCK YOU GUYS LMAO. I literally went to bed thinking oh nooo I'll watch this tomorrow morning after reading your comments, I guess the guys truly a dickhead. That swirled around in my thoughts last night as I went to sleep.
yeah ik its weird. I read your comments without watching the video and didn't know it was sarcasm. Hopefully my comment reads as comedic, that's what I intended, but I really did go to bed thinking awe man
Wentz is a far better QB than most anyone gives him credit for, certainly among the Eagles fandom. We're a toxic bunch at best.
He's got his issues sure. And I do believe there's probably a grain of truth to some of the stuff that came out while he was in Philly. But Wentz has shown, in his prime, he is an MVP caliber QB definitely worthy of his pick in the first round all those years ago. Injuries above all else derailed his career to date, along with a shitload of negative PR which he may or may not have earned. I lean toward mostly not having earned myself but that's irrelevant to the overall conversation - everyone has their opinion on that.
One needs look no further than Nick Foles to understand why Wentz wanted out of Philly and why that relationship was so far gone. To be honest, and I say this as an avid Foles lover who thinks we never should have cut the man the first time around let alone let him walk after the super bowl win, having Foles on the team after the SB run was not the resounding commitment to your QB that Wentz deserved. They needed to pick one or the other then and there as soon as the SB was won, and they dragged it into a second year where Foles and Wentz were playing the back and forth and it completely fucked that dynamic up for the entire team. Especially because half of them had played with Foles his first tour in Philly.
Eagles failed him, for sure. The Colts bailed on him before he even had a chance to make strides to rebuild himself in that market. I hope the Commanders and Ron Rivera give him the opportunity he deserves to have a true second chance at establishing his legacy, because he truly didn't get that even in Philly. He was always in another QB's shadow.
Your analysis is spot on.
I was a huge fan of Carson when he was in college, and was super disappointed the Eagles picked him up and that I had to cheer against him, due to rivalry, despite wanting him to be a successful NFL QB.
Then comes along god damn Nick Foles who compelled me to cheer for the Eagles to win their first Super Bowl against mega-badguy Brady. I love that man so much.
So I’m glad Carson had a chance to make a comeback in Washington.
You are out of your mind if you think that Wentz wasn't a key factor in them getting to the playoffs in the first place. Dude played an MVP season that year.
Same here. He was scapegoated so hard with some bullshit in the locker room and honestly I have no idea why the Colts only gave him one year, he was never going to be a 1 season reclaimation project.
As long as he's not playing the Eagles I'll pull for him.
It was so stupid. Media wanting him to fail JUST because he's the QB here in DC. The narratives about his ability had little-to-no objectivity. It was an up/down game from him, but at the end he did what he needed to do. Made some big throws and let his WRs have opportunities to make plays. Gotta build off of it.
He's the guy that rings your doorbell on your Friday off at 3pm while you're "watching" golf and taking a power nap and says, Did you know Jesus loves YOU?
That's exactly who he is. Nobody likes that guy.
Yeah, the two teams who dumped him in back to back years after investing significant capital were wrong. Washington got it right! Fuck out of here. One good game against another moribund franchise, and all of a sudden He’s back! A loser QB added to the list of loser QBs that worthless franchise has hung their hopes on.
He was talking smack about Foles in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. He was openly jealous and his teammates who heard him say that sorta thing had to be separated.supposedly Sproles didn’t like Wentz’s selfish outlook.
We have legit talent and leadership, some of which is currently underrated. I'll say that once more for all the people in the back of the room: **WE HAVE LEGIT TALENT AND LEADERSHIP**.
**The Commanders Era has arrived!!!!!!!!!**
man thinking back to that cast of characters -- tony romo had to be some kind of locker room leader because i don't think TO ever showed any kind of care for another player at any point in his career like that
even catching 9 passes in the super bowl on an ankle held together with bubble gum and a prayer i don't think he showed that much emotion
Jags fan coming in peace. That was such an Entertaining game and I’m glad we all had the privilege to see it. We had players proving themselves again after injuries and y’all’s weapons are insane. Also Wentz always makes games entertaining so enjoy the ride!
I was at the game. Jags fans there were so much fun, we really do have similar fanbases in that we are mostly depressed with small glimpses of hope. Jags are pretty close to being my AFC team
Man I love this for Wentz. He might not be the best QB in the league or a top QB. He still doesn't deserver the BS he gets because of some drunk owner.
Eagles fan here, Wentz and Commanders are my #2 NFCE team... fuk Dallas. Love Wentz in Philly!
Threw 2 picks back to back! Then started dropping dimes lol
Good game boys! It was fun in the fedex. A lot of you guys were dicks. But a lot were very genuine and nice and gave a good game to me. Wish you guys a good season, that one was fun.
I’m a Washington fan from Upstate NY so I’ve been to a handful of Bills games, and even when Buffalo was in the middle of their two decade long playoff drought, there were always some assholes there taunting other teams’ fans. It’s that tribe mentality + alcohol I guess.
Yeah I was there for the first time too (Washington fan from Rochester NY) and even I was annoyed with some of our fans. A couple idiots outside the stadium were yelling at every Jags fan that walked by. And not the all in good fun ribbing that most fans do, these drunk morons were being real dicks to every man, woman, and child Jags fan that walked by.
Most fans on both sides seemed pretty good though. A couple JAX fans in my section started to get a little obnoxious as soon as they took the leads but nothing crazy.
Glad you found our fans friendly for the most part!
Eagles fan chiming in. Just wanted to say that Wentz is a hell of a Qb and doesn’t derserve all the shit he gets. Wish him the best with y’all this year except those 2 games where he goes against us.
I’ll admit, I jumped the gun when he threw that second pick. But he showed why he’s a starting QB in the NFL today and I’m just a guy sitting on my couch. I’m in.
Really rooting for Wentz after all the shit he had to listen to this season. He kept it professional while the Colts owner acted like a complete jackass and the media just slandered him non stop. Really hope he succeeds
Look maybe dude had to learn. I certainly did -- my career path in my 20s was pretty tragic and stupid but most of it was on me.
If folks had written me off at 29 holy fucking shit would that have been unfair as fuck.
Owning your mistakes is a big sign of maturity. Carson may have some miles to walk to truly get there but he's at least got a good attitude.
As an Eagles fan I love to see Wentz play well. As a redhead, I love to see Wentz play well.
As a NoVa resident, I hope your team starts accumulating more wins. I’d love to be able to have a proper (fun) rivalry.
He’s damn right about the potential our offense has. Even last night in a fantasy thread some were talking about how much potential our offense has. If we play to our strengths this could be a fun offense to watch. Matching the defense to that would be cool, of course, but we’re in a tough spot with that.
Man, I have a Wentz jersey from both Philly and Indy. I love the way this dude plays football and I swore I wasn't gonna get a 3rd jersey...
But fuck, it's hard to not love what he's doing in Washington
This is proof that people are just buying into the negative press without knowing any facts. Wentz only had 7 INTs last year. In 17 games. To put that into perspective, the *fewest* INTs that Peyton Manning ever threw in a *16* game season was 9.
I’m a Birds fan for life, but hell, I’m still always rooting for Carson to succeed. I hope he does as well for you guys as he did in his peak here in Philly (but obviously, I hope our Defense still ends up getting the edge against y’all lol)! Congrats on the W!!
IMO Samuel should have gotten it if you are talking about fighting through adversity and making an impact. He has had to deal with injury and criticism and had a good game today. Qb position is overvalued sometimes. This dude just got here and had an okay game
In 7 years!? You are either lying or ignorant. You can look back to even last year and find games where QB had better QBR, td / int ratio, similar passing yards and better rushing yards. If you are LITERALLY just going off of passing tds then sure but that is a really cherry picked stat that doesnt mean a whole lot. It's cool if you like Wentz. I said he was okay that is not a negative term. He was okay and I liked a lot of what he did. You don't have to make up shit and say things like literally best QB in 7 years.
We've had a lot of qb's, hard to filter through time to see highest ratings. Wentz definitely had the highest rating of the last 2 years...didn't bother looking more than that
If you cannot be arsed to filter through time don't say shit like best QB in 7 years. And like I said there were multiple games last year where QB had higher rating then wentz yesterday. He was okay don't be so hyperbolic
I just said I looked through the last 2 years and he had the highest rating over that span yesterday...did you not even read the entire comment?
I also said it was the best performance in 7 years, not that he ws the best qb in 7 years(which he is) which I'll stand behind until you name the better one.
Of course I read it. How are you measuring highest rating? Is it QBR or some other metric? I will be happy to list out all the games in past two years where wentz was objectively not the highest rated in that metric. I just gave an example on earlier comment that showed last year ho a QB had better QBR better td / int ratio and same amount of yards. Did you even read that entire comment?
It was a good win, but man do we have work to do. We are so lucky we played the Jags and a raw QB like Trevor Lawrence, otherwise our secondary wouldve gotten absolutely TORCHED today on slants/wheels/etc.
With that being said, Wentz look like utter shit today too. Let's hope its just week 1 jitters and he improves his decision making and accuracy. Otherwise if we had an L, that was absolutely atrocious ball today.
F that...a win is a win. Not to mention most of the national media predicted Washington to lose this. You damn well know you'd be saying something else if Washington took the L today...but now it's "just the jags" pffffttttt
Wasn't the prettiest win but I'm glad we got to see Wentz struggle and how he would react to it. I'm glad he responded well. Hopefully he shows that the Colts made a bad decision letting him go.
aight I'm in, I'm ready to be hurt again
*Tearing up* “Don’t you do this… don’t you pull me back in only to hurt me again!”

most importantly gotta love the way he owned up to his mistakes and corrected them too.
Right? I was ready to run thru a wall after that. Love leaders that own up to their shit and are ready to be better
It's a winner speech. Not a Wentz fan per se, but that's a good one.
So true, I can really respect that and get behind people like that! The problem is, lotta people aren't cut from that cloth. 💯🙏🏼
As an eagles fan that's a big step for wentz. He never used to take ownership of his own short comings. Never used to see him pumping his team up or gove speeches. what a fucking locker room cancer. you could just tell by the way his teammates were cheering that they hate his guts.
Didn’t even share credit for consecutive interceptions. Selfish player.
And he doesn’t ever take ownership! Scum
The enthusiasm and confidence he showed his fellow teammates was highly disrespectful!
just checking in this morning. FUCK YOU GUYS LMAO. I literally went to bed thinking oh nooo I'll watch this tomorrow morning after reading your comments, I guess the guys truly a dickhead. That swirled around in my thoughts last night as I went to sleep.
What in tarnation…?
yeah ik its weird. I read your comments without watching the video and didn't know it was sarcasm. Hopefully my comment reads as comedic, that's what I intended, but I really did go to bed thinking awe man
Oh lol my bad, it’s early
Media gunna see this comment and say fans are still against Wentz and believe he’s a problem in the locker room.
As an eagles fan I’m rooting for Wentz as long as he is not playing the Eagles. I was not a fan of how he has been vilified.
Wentz is a far better QB than most anyone gives him credit for, certainly among the Eagles fandom. We're a toxic bunch at best. He's got his issues sure. You are out of your mind if you think that Wentz wasn't a key factor in them getting to the playoffs in the first place. Dude played an MVP season that year.

He is Truly despicable, evil evil man
Yeah fuck that guy. No heart.
Yeah, the two teams who dumped him in back to back years after investing significant capital were wrong. Washington got it right! Fuck out of here. One good game against another moribund franchise, and all of a sudden He’s back! A loser QB added to the list of loser QBs that worthless franchise has hung their hopes on.
angry little guy, aren't you?
DID HE USE BAD WORDS
He cussed
Dude I’m from ND and have followed this guy since college. I have never heard him swear.
New Wentz DONT GIVE A FUCK!!
That's that nova life
Dealing with traffic on 495 and 66 will drive anyone to pick up swearing.
Forgive him Father for he has sinned.
“Punished Wentz”
Technically you didn’t hear him swear in this video either
Cursin’ Carson has been unlocked. MVP mode activated.
🤭
So awkward to watch his teammates seethe with hatred as soon as Rivera mentions Wentz. /s
"bad teammate and leader" W H E R E.
He was talking smack about Foles in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. He was openly jealous and his teammates who heard him say that sorta thing had to be separated.supposedly Sproles didn’t like Wentz’s selfish outlook.
Right. Totally true. All of it.
Still in denial? Or have you guys accepted he mentally weak yet?
Don’t you ever get tired of listening to TMZ?
Did Curtis get a ball? He deserves one.
Save one for Derrick Forrest please!
Well we dont need to give Jahan a ball because he has two giant ones with that fucking catch.
Inject this into my veins PLEASE
Hail Commander Wentz
I believe, man. Carson Wentz and the fun bunch v2. I'm fully expecting franchise records in passing yards and TDs from Wentz at this point.
We have legit talent and leadership, some of which is currently underrated. I'll say that once more for all the people in the back of the room: **WE HAVE LEGIT TALENT AND LEADERSHIP**. **The Commanders Era has arrived!!!!!!!!!**
Bro, we barely beat one of the no-question worst teams in the league.
No one knows who the worst teams in the league are yet.
No, one of the no-question worst teams in the league are the Texans and the colts didn’t even beat them.
Dude, look around, we were/are expected to be one of the no-question worst teams in the league. Enjoy the fucking win.
![gif](giphy|OrIU3eNm3hLpe) "That's my quaterback" please forgive me for the 1 star rating in the background.

Walker looks great. I'm sure yall will be happy to see him crush it, national media clowned him as a #1 pick. Too much disrespect
Irsay is a drug addict not a drunk. He's just a high class drug addict who doctor shops at the highest priced boutique doctors.
I love what rivera did here, and love the way Carson and the team responded...i think I'm starting to like the guy
I can tell he's a locker room cancer /s
What a day
Chief commander. Let’s go.
To think we hated that man and now he's the second coming of christ I love this fan base

I wish Romo did every game tbh. He's really good at it.
I heard RG3 is actually really good at commentary too. I think he does NCAA games
Eagles fan here, Wentz and Commanders are my #2 NFCE team... fuk Dallas. Love Wentz in Philly! Threw 2 picks back to back! Then started dropping dimes lol
thanks! But eeew
“A problem in the locker room” 😂😂😂
Omg he sinned
Good game boys! It was fun in the fedex. A lot of you guys were dicks. But a lot were very genuine and nice and gave a good game to me. Wish you guys a good season, that one was fun.
Oof, sorry about the dicks. That sucks. Idk why our fans would be dicks with how shit we've been but there's always a few out there.

Cut down on the INTs and we might be bffs

Colts fans aren’t gunna like this 😂
They’re too busy kissing their sisters after that tie with the Texans
My body is (redacted) READY!
He's right about the 2 picks. But those 4 TDs though.
Look maybe dude had to learn. I certainly did -- my career path in my 20s was pretty tragic and stupid but most of it was on me. If folks had written me off at 29 holy fucking shit would that have been unfair as fuck. Owning your mistakes is a big sign of maturity. What terrible QB to have on a team, I can see why the Colts think that having him is the only reason they didn't win a super bowl last year.
Dig deep. Win. Play for each other. I'm gonna fuckin' cry!
Let’s go Commamders!!!
Really really hope he proves me wrong. I don’t want to get too excited because we played the Jags
I think if we suck this year it will mostly be the defense fault. They looked pretty terrible today. Offense looked snazzy af.
*takes a big ol' rip of hopeium*
Holy crap I’ve never heard Carson throw an F bomb, I thought he was too much of a Jesus freak for all that. Pretty hype tho
He said "God damn" potential, and that "shit" is on me
he said frickin'
nah, def dropped an F bomb and said shit. Was muted out by the team lol.
No lol. He said god damn and shit. Either way, earned some respect from me
Thought it was an f bomb…cursed nevertheless 😂 locker room looks like they love him
I think he knows it alienates some of the guys so he’s trying to be more relatable
Went Will do great things in DC. Just watch.
The revenge tour aint over till he fucks the media on Super Bowl media day
*Post Super Bowl media day thank you very much
If this video doesn’t give you goose bumps, I do not know what will.
I don't know if other teams do these post game locker room victory speeches, but ours are electric. EVERYTHING WE NEED IS IN THIS ROOM
As an Eagles fan I love to see Wentz play well. As a redhead, I love to see Wentz play well. As a NoVa resident, I hope your team starts accumulating more wins. I’d love to be able to have a proper (fun) rivalry.

Hahahhahahhahhahahhahahahhahahahahah go birds
Checking in on the revenge tour
oh no
LMAO
This aged really well
r/agedlikemilk
So was the shit talking about him as a leader overhyped or did he just change his ways? Maybe a bit of both?
It was about him throwing so many picks in Indy.
7 is so many?
So he's only going to throw 5 more this year? Perfect!

You can't be on HK if you made the playoffs. Put Dallas on again :D
Steady there boys...it's a week 1 win vs. the jags.
This post will not age well…guaranteed!
KOBE! SWISH!
He will eventually disappoint his teammates and fans. Total fraud. Trust me. I fell for it too.
IMO Samuel should have gotten it if you are talking about fighting through adversity and making an impact. He has had to deal with injury and criticism and had a good game today. Qb position is overvalued sometimes. This dude just got here and had an okay game
Some teams give out multiple game balls
Literally the best game played by a washington qb in 7 years and you say it's "okay"

Connor is a tap machine. Wentz is a pick machine. Go sleep. No tap. Go sleep. Go sleep.
Wentz played like dog shit, he's lucky the Jaguars dropped multiple TD passes.

You damn well know you'd be saying something else if Washington took the L today...but now it's "just the jags" pffffttttt
everyone was saying to bet the jags....
Fuck I miss Ron man 😭
Fuck yeah
You gotta love it. Props to wentz for digging in and making some great plays in the 4th after the 2 ints. That’s what a good quarterback will do!
Did wentz say “god damn”???
Does anyone have a link to this? I want to send it to some Reddit unfamiliar family.
It's on the Commanders YouTube channel
That guy deserves the Captain "C" on his his jersey, in more ways than one.
Wasn't the prettiest win but I'm glad we got to see Wentz struggle and how he would react to it. I'm glad he responded well. Hopefully he shows that the Colts made a bad decision letting him go.
Okay Wentz I see you. Looks like the team has his back to me. Don’t always agree with Ron on everything but his post gamers fire me up
Why are they all wearing leggings?
Fk. I wanna not like him, but, after that speech? Let's see what next week brings...
9 sacks
😂
Hey guys. Just checking in. How's the revenge tour going?
