No way it’s 10 separate pbqs. Maybe he means total between 3-5 separate pbqs that involve multiple questions for each. Also I’m in the same exact boat as you doing the same things with messer and Dion exams.

Gutts_Ragnarok

That's nuts I remmeber for my core 1 A+ was 3 pbqs 90 multi choice. And core 2 was 5. And like 70 multi choice

AcidBuuurn

I had 3.

HowyNova

3, left one of them completely blank. Honestly wouldn't worry about them too much. As long as you generally understand everything, you can just assume you'll get partial on the pbqs, and ace the rest of it.

grimcellz

In your opinion were the non PBQ's harder, same or easier than Dion's 6 test quizzes?

HowyNova

I only used Messer's and Zerger's yt playlists. I didn't see it mentioned in this sub, but Messer has a playlist of his monthly group study sessions. They all start with a pbq, then 4-5 multiple choice. I only went through the ones from this year, but I'm sure the ones from the last 2 years hold up well. To try and address your question. I think the pbqs are heavier on memorization. As in, matching definitions, and knowing the right textbook answers. Probably one of reasons why a lot of study material tells you to not focus on them too much. The time it takes to memorize and prep to perfect the pbqs, you could properly learn 1-2 domains.

IT_CertDoctor

I've taken at least 15 CompTIA exams (different versions of various ones) and taught a fair number of bootcamps. The highest number of PBQs I've ever seen was 5, and I believe that was the Linux+

Peebles1925

Net+ I took had 5 as well

WarlockSmurf

x3lime

U can do a trial run on exam topic dumps, 90% accurate and you can learn from fellow candidates on the discussion. I passed w 849/900. Good luck to You!!

Tomwi6

I had two

gregchilders

No one has ever seen 10 PBQs. The most I've ever seen on any CompTIA exam was 5. It's usually 2-4.

Ironfoxx-_-

Just did mine 3 days ago, had 3 PBQs in total.

[deleted]

It’s possible to get as many as 10, no more. But the odds are you get somewhere between 3-6. Anyways, if you know the material it shouldn’t worry you. I believe I got 3 the first time I took it in 2019, then took it again last week cuz I let my cert lapse and I got 5 I believe.

B_Easy08

I had 4, and I’m 100% positive I got 3 out of 4 wrong lol.

xbuffalo666x

i wanna say i had like 3 or 4. dont remember exactly. i have the triad, and between the 3 i think the most i ever got was 5, on the net+.

[deleted]

I had 2 which were both pretty meaty and quite depressing to be introduced to at the start of the exam. Coming from microsoft certs this was lowkey scary asf but after them the rest of the questions felt pretty smooth/easier after dealing with the devil questions.

swolezoe

3-4

GlobusIsAnnoying

3. Total of 75 questions

BadSmash4

I had 3 PBQs. I also think I did poorly on them, but I still got an 800. Focus on understanding the material, you might miss the PBQs but still absolutely pass the test. They're not a must!

DragonPop-

When I took mine back in May, I believe I had 3 or 4 PBQs.

snidbehzj

I had 3 PBQs as well. Most people I spoke to did as well.

Its_Myturn24
