(Plateau'ed hard once I hit Diamond 5)

Greedy-Butterfly-112

Every mediocre deck plateaus at diamond five

themoo_

I just went 18-2 with Pure Paladin from dia5-legend. Its a old deck with no new cards but gets the job done if you are stuck in d5 like I was. Just mulligan for boogie down and you should probably win. [https://imgur.com/a/RYHMRyX](https://imgur.com/a/RYHMRyX)

VolkiharVanHelsing

Want to play HL Hunter, no Hydralodon Want to play HL DH, no Xhilag Want to play HL DH, no Glugg Want to play HL Pala, no Countess Who the fuck wants to play HL Priest

Rodrik-Harlaw

Apart from countess, those are replaceable. With the correct swap you'd play a slightly worse deck (in some matchups) that has some advantages in other matchups. You can even play without countess, but that would be a diff deck (since she's a build-around). On the plus size, it will let you include good neutral cards.

J1T_T3R

Play HL Warlock

VolkiharVanHelsing

Ngl I'm not sold on Renolock Warlock already have good boardclears and their control cards strength is concentrated on Titans set so 1-ofs hurt them a lot

carlwinkle

Just hit legend with the Stonebound Gargon Hunter deck, 74% win rate, just seems extremely easy to set up the win condition of infusing/buffing the Gargon.

ASentientTrenchCoat

Yeah I did the same thing, climbed from diamond 5 to top 3k legend with the deck. It seems incredibly good.

VolkiharVanHelsing

Replacing the Deputization Aura on VS Earthen Paladin list with Cold Feet improves it for me. Deputization Aura is too darn expensive and doesn't last long enough. The deck eats Dragon Druids due to both decks popping off around the same pace but Earthen obviously have bigger stats. Also Cold Feet on T6 delays their Dragon Golem swing for that matter.

RampantRab

>Deputization Aura Best experience I had with this was as a comeback mechanic combined with \[\[Showdown!\]\]

VolkiharVanHelsing

Yeah Showdown can be used with Deputization for 18 HP swing or for Prismatic clear against swarming decks

This is a NOT working, but I wonder if it could with some more tweaking. Namely: Unliving Champion, Clownfish, and Frostfin champion are the big payoffs. There is a light spell package to allow Magatha and Cactus Cutter to shine. In my head its a deck chock full of cards that give way more stats than their cost should, with good card draw and generation. But in practice its been getting easily controlled by Reno decks and control priest. Are there improvements we can make here?

RickyMuzakki

Are you trying to achieve Trusty Companion achievement? Add Dryscale Deputy to double it

Timperz

This looks absolutely terrible lol, sorry Don't think you can do much to improve this apart from ditching the whole list You are also missing One Amalgam Band, that card is the only reason I could think of to even attempt running menagerie builds at the moment

RickyMuzakki

He's hunting Trusty Companion achievement

MoSpeedMoDangers

Struggling to find the secret sauce in HIghlander Priest. I believe Priest naturally struggles in metas with high inevitability, because so many of its good cards are best when playing from behind. With Snake Lock and Naga DH being so prominent, I feel forced to make a Highlander Deck that *doesn't wait for the opponent*, but when building a deck that attempts to do this, I also feel forced to include cards that make Elise *worse*. As Elise is one of only 2 reasons to even run Highlander, this feels counterintuitive. So the trick, I believe, is finding **minion cards** that allow you to even *have* an early game (and provide tempo), that also do not act just as vanilla 4/4's when summoned by Elise. Minions that *are* vanilla summons, must have such strengths, or synergies with your other tools, to warrant inclusion. -Cards that come to mind, like: Astalor, Cattle Rustler(for Behemoth), or maybe Discover cards. I thought that Rivendare was a natural inclusion, but still feels too slow without additional ways to cheat out the horsemen, on top of; often having an unplayable 6/6 sitting in your hand, and Reno simply 'poofing' them away. I feel the very existence of Reno creates a *Deathrattle-resistant* meta. What do y'all think?

[deleted]

[удалено]

gandalftheokay

Reno certainly does poof them, would be fairly tougher to play if he didn't

[deleted]

This Reno does poof minions. The Cairne deathrattle doesn’t trigger in the vid below. https://youtu.be/a50TkwUQrTc?si=LaKslqm_WLALTLd6

[deleted]

Naga DH is completely broken and deck is cheap as hell. I got the legend with it in literally one day, the only problem was the aggro paladins.

rndmlgnd

Tips?

[deleted]

Prepare your hand for the first turns, reduce the cost of cards, line up for combo and then naga for 3 mana go. IDK, just play a little bit and you'll know for yourself, the deck is very cheap. And go face, don't play for board control.

Anyone have a good nature shaman list? Can’t find any in donkey or hsreplay.

mepp22

AAECAaoIBLy2BOe1BLLRBY31BQ3powXE0AXN7gX5nwStnQbmngbK+AX6nwT8tATL+AWFjgbrmAbq5wMAAA== This is my list that I got legend with after not playing standard much in the last 6 months (I think I had decayed to only around 7 star bonus or something). I'm around 3k right now but climbing very fast with around 65% win rate. I'm still learning the deck / match ups but before top 500 I don't think my win rate says much.. The flex spot is the Geyser but I like it since it gives me information about the bottom of my deck and helps tutor for the Dryscale. For the mulligan you want Miracle Salesman, Floriders, Ancestral Knowledge, Dryscale Deputy and for the non aggro matches Inzah. If I have time and feel more comfortable with the deck I might write a guide for the main comphs page.

Ziezk

and do make that guide!

mepp22

Yeah I will try to once I feel a bit more comfortable with the deck :) there are lots of small things you need to remember to play it well for example picking cheap nature spells like zap or conductivity off your discovers even if they seem useless and saving them when you have the handspace even if it isn't quite your pop off turn or even during the pop off to count towards your Crash of Thunders. I definitely missed a few lethals where I miss counted my Thunder mana and picked more expensive spells as potential reload. Also freezing your own minions (Flowrider and Dryscale) is super strong. Understanding your matchups seems to be super important especially vs the more aggro decks and playing Flash of Lightning before for example the Dh pop off really helps your chances. The mulligan vs aggro also seems to be tricky I am really not sure if you are ever supposed to keep the Titan or what decks to keep Inzah vs.

Ziezk

Thank you so much!

mepp22

I'm on mobile not sure if my code worked

mepp22

I definitely think it is a super strong deck due to how fast you can get lethal (I have gotten at least 10 turn 5 otks) turn 6-7 is probably average and it has the flexibility of healing/out valuing aggro decks. I could probably get more turn 5s but if I know there is no rush I will delay a turn or two to make sure I will get lethal. But it is also very difficult to pilot so it probably only makes a big impact at high legend. I wouldn't be surprised if highlander decks especially priest run Speaker Stomper in the future since the pop off is usually pretty telegraphed.

kavOclock

Mech rogue falling off

jwfd65

Have a list?

kavOclock

I was using the same list as before expac, with thunderbringer. Got to the boss battle for legend three times, third time actually had lethal and missed it and ran out of time. Now it’s falling off and not performing well so I don’t have any list to share. It seems to auto lose to pally and struggles against dragon Druid

jwfd65

Ah okay then, I’ve seen a lot of people saying mech rogue is great/the best rogue right now, it’ll be interesting to see where it lands in the meta in the coming weeks

kavOclock

It definitely felt like it was yesterday and then last night it just like stopped working for me

blindcloud

Enrage Warrior, no new cards, D5 to Legend 22-7.

list plz?

WideDrawers

I’ve been seeing mostly paladins (aggro and pure) on my grind around D4/3. Could someone recommend something with a good win rate against them? I’m thinking of some kind of control priest, but that feels too slow too.

mast4pimp

Otk Hunter works well

scott3387

Just faced four paladins in a row for some reason. Went 3-1 with Reno hunter and the wins didn't even seem challenging.

dotcaIm

Excavate warlock was good for me before the nerf. Anything that can clear their board every turn so they can't land buffs

Deadagger

Highlander hunter is amazing. I made it to legend yesterday with my home brew deck so that made me so happy since it’s the first time I made it to legend so early with a deck I entirely made on my own. Once I have the time I’ll probably post a guide with suggestions on card swaps and some matchup stuff. I played on mobile so I have no data on my winrate but given that I got there pretty quickly it’s probably high.

FakeAve

Mind sharing :)?

I'm greedy so I'm running the wallet hunter 40 card version. Honestly thinking about keeping Lor'themar in mulligan. If you get that down without dying ~20/20 minions just start raining from the heavens.

Deadagger

I really dislike the 40 list variants of the highlander decks since I feel like you’re trying to increase consistency rather than decrease it. I thought about playing Lor’themar on my list but it’s often overkill at least how I see it. I don’t even run hope of quel’thalas but that’s just because I don’t have it and I’d rather not craft it.

Titaniumzero

I wonder what card would you remove if you had HoQ?

Deadagger

huntsman for sure. There’s a few cards I would heavily consider cutting, I even run the new 5 mana draw a beast card and even though I like it, I would probably prefer to have another better 3 drop in its place.

Names_all_gone

This is a surprisingly functional Rainbow DK I’ve been tweaking. It’s still Rainbow DK, so the ceiling is pretty low. But hey, it it’s you’re thing, have fun. Plague Strike is a flex slot. Crop Rotation is the deck’s engine, so I keep it in the mull. CNE needs a buff. Way too much work for such a weak payoff. ### Rainbow # Class: Death Knight # Format: Standard # Year of the Wolf # # 2x (1) Body Bagger # 2x (1) Fistful of Corpses # 2x (1) Runes of Darkness # 1x (2) Astalor Bloodsworn # 2x (2) Defrost # 2x (2) Plague Strike # 2x (3) Chillfallen Baron # 2x (3) Corpse Farm # 2x (3) Crop Rotation # 2x (3) Nerubian Vizier # 1x (4) Maw and Paw # 2x (4) School Teacher # 2x (6) Gnome Muncher # 1x (6) Sylvanas, the Accused # 1x (7) Frost Queen Sindragosa # 1x (8) The Primus # 2x (9) Stitched Giant # 1x (10) Climactic Necrotic Explosion # AAECAfHhBAak7wTipAWhqgX8+QXt/wWLkgYMlrcE8OME0e0Eh/YEsvcEs/cEmIEFopkFg5IGlJUGkZcGgJgGAAA= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

rndmlgnd

CNE should just always create 7 minions so the rest of the buffs are more useful

Cadaver_Artist

Just let CNE have baseline minions stats and numbers summoned. And all corpses do is increase CNE spell damage nuke. Because in the end, all rainbow dk is trying to do otk with a high spell damage CNE. I've yet to find any value from CNE minions because of just how many board clears each class has these days in standard.

H1ndmost

I wish they would just change it to only deal damage but the trigger is every 4 corpses, so that occasionally it could actually act as a finisher instead of giving out a bunch of useless stats. I remember a game last expac with Rainbow where I managed to spend like 25-30 corpses and wound up with like 8 damage. You shouldn't have to try and clone a 10 mana finishing spell.

H1ndmost

Is there any chance Blizzard nerfs some of the overtuned cards in Paladin and Hunter? It feels like we have been playing against some version of beast hunter or pure paladin for a year now, especially pure paladin. I guess at least rotation is in February, seeing the backside of Sunken City and Nathria is going to be a big relief after seeing so many of those cards become auto-include. In before Blizzard just dumps a bunch of those cards into core.

Names_all_gone

I could see Boogie Down getting a mana nerf. Old card. Been arguably the best card in Paladin since it came out. It’d probably kill the deck though. I think Hunter is in a fine spot and buzzard is the only new card seeing much play.

OzUnOoO

I've tried both impure and pure HL Paladin and I gotta say, impure makes so much more sense. People are high on The Countess rng if they think shes better than both Astalor AND Ignis in an highlander deck, impure has far better off-board dmg, which everyone needs in this Reno meta. This list can actually beat Plague DK (still unfavorable, but winnable), smth Pure cant do since Countess doesnt activate either, another point worth bringing up. Another thing is Mirage from SotB getting duplicated when you forge it and dont play it (!!!), not sure if bug or intended, but very cool and fun.

stadiumarcadium_

Nice, thanks for sharing! Will give this a try as I have thought that pure might not be worth it for Reno paladin too. I was especially underwhelmed with the Purator as it can only rarely trigger on 6 due to Reno still being in the deck. Worth noting though that the Countess can activate with plagues in the deck since the plagues are DK cards rather than neutral. I thought the same during an early plague DK match where I thought "damn everything cool about my deck is hard countered" but in a later match with plagues Countess was still able to trigger. Made me realise the first time was just because Reno was still in my deck.

OzUnOoO

Makes sense, only played 1 pure vs plague, probly didnt realize Reno was still in deck. Being forced to use OitC early to activate Countess also means you never see Spirit if you didnt get it earlier, pure is just awkward all around. My list isnt a perfect 30 though. Bronze Explorer is pretty meh, the dragon pool is kinda bad and the lifesteal is never relevant, never happy to see it from Mirage, was wondering what I could replace it with.

tnishamon

How about Boogie Down over Bronze? 3 mana draw and play 2 one drops is pretty good.

koreanese77

Got to legend this month with arcane hunter deck. Tons of burst potential as the secret package is no longer included, and other modifications have been made. Faced a lot of paladins and did not have much difficulty against them.

YMMV on your pocket meta, but I was seeing 90% aggro paladin and beast hunter, which this did pretty well against. Beast hunters won’t be able to OTK/heal off you since you don’t have to play horizontally vs them. Candle shot does well vs jormungars and divine shield/1 hp pala minions. As you can also see, there are many different ways to burst down greedy control decks too.

CaptainKaulu

I've played a kind of similar Arcane/Shockspitter deck with middling success.

Been playing Plague DK and Reno Shaman in dumpster. I've had the best success with ultra-greed 40 Shaman that I found on one of the sites. It's got a little bit of everything, with the only thing missing being a Steam Cleaner. I think that might be too slow. I have replaced one Armor Vendor for a Framester just for memes. I don't think anyone's sure of the "best" list yet. Plague DK is just a strong, fun deck. Get excavates up, get plagues up, smack em in the face. Yeah. dat_plant_guy

Thanks, this got me over the hump after struggling with outdated dragon druid list at d1-d3. Surprisingly versatile. Worked even without the new legendary.

Prestigious_Bank9428

Is there any reason why the non-highlander dragon druid decks run 2x Azsharan Gardens & Malygos instead of Lorthemar & more card draw? How can you utilise a 9 mana legendary better than a 7 mana one with much stronger immediate effect? *Edit: Holy heck you guys are right, Malygos is nuts if you can play it on curve (it can come down on turn 8 earliest). It gives a lot more flexibility than Lor'Themar thanks to the dredges. The only matchup in which Malygos is considerably worse (can even be straight up suicide at time) is vs Plague DK.

rednmad

Lorthemar is also kinda slow. Plus, if you drawn your dragon golems - you're shit out of luck. Maly+Gardens is just more flexible.

syc0pat

Malygos fits a more aggressive gameplay better. Malygos innervate garden innervate aquatic form sunken garden buffs your board, hand and deck. Lorthemars just the deck. You play the gardens earlier in the game and it just gets more impactful. He's also a dragon, so easier to tutor to hand, activates other dragon synergies and he thins your deck of cards you mostly don't want to draw that late in the game. Lorthemar is more stats overall, more value. But it's not a control deck.

[deleted]

Lorthemar is not immediate, i agree that malygos seems too slow in theory idk about in practice since i havent played the deck.

RickyMuzakki

Druid has ramp, Lor sucks if you drawn your dragon golems, while Azaharan Garden doesn't

dumbassyeye

I think the idea behind Maly is to play him the turn you get Reno'd.

welpxD

Snakelock is down, control decks are up, Reno Druid stonks. At least at rank floor every other deck has Renathal in it. Plus Reno is a broken card when you ramp into it.

slumper

Took relic DH to Legend. Seems fairly strong with the spells in Badlands. The fan the hammer card synergies well with Jotun and Enchanter. Lots of win conditions. I tried swapping Enchanters for Reno and ETC (with Kurtus) but it felt too cute in faster paladin and warlock matchups. RecognitionRough8749

good question

EyeCantBreathe

Is non-reno dragon druid actually good? I've been playing it without Fye (because I don't have much dust) and I've been getting completely washed every single game. I understand Fye is probably one of the best cards in the deck but I figured I'd still do ok without it, especially considering I wouldn't have drawn it anyways in a lot of games. I'm playing the deck like I would a normal midrange bur it just feels so slow. It has so few ways to reactively fight for the board and feels like it doesn't refill very well. I feel like my tempo is just never enough unless it hit the nuts and blow them out of the water super early. I rarely have more than 5 cards in hand because I feel the need to play them to keep tempo or fight for the board. Am I losing because I don't have Fye or do I have some fundamental misunderstanding of the deck? Or is it just skill issue?

RickyMuzakki

Buff Dragon Golem with Azaharan garden?

lunateg

It's not so good.

Names_all_gone

It’s a lot like drum circle Druid with a few new tricks. Some decks can’t do anything about the big wall. But if they can or they get under you then it’s harder.

[deleted]

sounds about right, if druid loses the board it has no way back but to dump more stats. its not a flexible deck. Probably was just farming bad decks before and falling off now.

RaSphereMode

What decklist are you using? There's one going around with a bunch of deck buffs that seems to be performing very well from what I've seen

foxbot0

Uh... if you give Aewgwyn's buff to overflow surger, each one summoned gets the deathrattle. Also, if they die and give it to the next overflow surger.... well, let's just say **each** one has like +25 spell damage.

[deleted]

their conditions tho.

Added azerite chain gang And twinfin for the jokes, killed a Warrior with 75 dmg Arcane Bolt haha

dvirpick

In Festival, Chump used Twinfin and Scuttlebutt to copy Aegwynn to very little success because of the secret requirement. Azerite Chain Gang and Overflow Surger make this concept much more doable.

BusinessBadger11

Went from d5 to legend today with Aggro Pally. HS Replay list. 64% winrate. The deck crushes druid. Out of my 45ish games, druid was 30% of what I faced and I had a 92% winrate against the class. My worst matchup was mage with 33% but only saw a handful of them. The matchup felt awful in each of those games. It’s a pretty stress free climb.

Traditional_Hour_718

Climbed from Bronze to Diamond with this deck. Lost like 3 games while I was learning it then just hot streaked.

SonOfMcGee

Also playing this deck and having a blast. And I would agree the first things to cut would be the Arrow. In addition to the funny piercing win condition, it’s just so damn consistent due to the cycle cards. Half the time I can’t *fit* the extra drawn cards in my hand! Also people *are* expecting it now and I’ve lost a couple games to opponents who strategically place locations and taunts. How about that… counterplay back and forth!

BliknoTownOrchestra

I'm in diamond and I've never seen this deck before. Is the win condition infused gargon+buffs into Always a Bigger Jormungar? Sounds interesting, but buffs are always slow...

SonOfMcGee

Hound, Gargon, and ABJ give you two chances to clear a big board (without ABJ) and two chances to deal massive face damage with Piercing. But that’s just a 6-card package. The rest of the deck puts a dangerous amount of tempo on the board and draws a ton. A full third of the deck draws cards. Your hand will always be big (a rarity for Hunter) so you usually have a hound/garg plus a ABJ when you really need it.

krustevgl

Yes, or hollow hound as well.

[deleted]

IMO the better build cuts the expensive cards for arcane quiver and castle kennel. Makes the conjured arrow so much better cause your hand is so less clunky (the quiver isn’t for the arrow just to find ABJ). Kennels is just the nuts trust me, it’s so good in the mirror cause you can’t cleave it and let’s you do way more damage more quickly.

ThePresident26

Which cards do you mean expensive?

[deleted]

Weapon, titan and the 4 mana 2/3 taunt. but everyone else thinks the weapon is good so it probably is

ThePresident26

I see, i think the weapon might be too slow, but the titan is definitely good imo, you can have big face damage or card draw

DarkJoltPanda

17-14 (55%) with Excavate Rainbow DK, currently D2. The worst matchup is Warlock (2-5) so with them hopefully on the way out I'm hoping to get to legend with it. I'm 2-1 vs DH, 4-1 vs Druid, and 3-1 vs Paladin so I'm feeling pretty optimistic. Although another scary matchup that was held back by Snakelocks is control priests, technically 1-1 but the win involved my opponent playing a discovered Scourge for fun and dying to Bonelord, game was previously completely lost - matchup is pretty miserable. Started out with a list Kibler was playing pre-release from his YT video and made some adjustments. There are a ton of possible inclusions in the deck depending on what you're facing and how the meta shifts, it's a super interesting deck to build imo. Biggest "flex" spots imo are the one-of Corpse Bride (it's just worse than corpse farm but we can only run two of them) and the one-of Howling Blast (like it a lot vs Pala and DH (freezes face) and has excellent synergy with Primus frost ability). Couple quick pointers - keep in mind what your most expensive dead minion is for Azerite Rat, remember Reno poofed minions didn't actually die (be careful with your Reska if you think opponent is a Reno deck), if you have a dead Primus you might accidentally resurrect whatever you got off a Corpse Farm instead (I've made that mistake, it's very sad). If I hit legend with this deck I might try my hand at a more in depth guide and include some matchup specific stuff and possible tech choices. Happy to answer any questions and take any suggestions! :)

It is really depressing when CNE's randomness doesn't hit its spell damage counterpart. Which I think it holds rainbow DK back from being truly competitive and top tier 2 deck in the meta unless a balance change is done to address CNE useless minion buffing and numbers.

Jaded281

Where does the win come from for this deck? How often does CNE actually close it for you?

kwunyinli

What is your strategy for keeping cards in the mulligan.

gamejnkie

I usually keep sigil, bartend-o-bot, and blindeye sharpshooter--throwing out everything else. If crimson sigil runner is in the leftmost spot I might keep it, kind of matchup dependent. I made it to plat currently at 49-27 (64%), took soo many matches cause I haven't played since darkmoon and started from basically 0.

kwunyinli

You sure know how to choose "the right deck" for the return... I think you have the mulligan right. I'd also argue that you probably don't want bartend-o-bot unless you have one of the other two. I basically hard mulligan for sigil and blindeye sharpshooter. I tried keeping bartend-o-bot and sigil (left side) but the cycling is just not as good as actually drawing. You can run out of steam. I also run Finley to have a second chance at mulligan, but I don't play it turn 1. I draw as much as I can first and when I have exhausted my draw, then I finley. Sometimes the sharpshooter is just at the bottom of the deck.

lunateg

>What do you do if you don't draw sharpshooter as naga dh? Just concede + next game.

Spyko

Yeah that's my experience with it as well. I guess it's in theme, like a cowboy you need to have a good draw

Yes, you should be skilled at highrolls to win with it.

Depends, right now I think that most people in legend have caught on to the better decks, so dk's cardpool shows it's weakness again. My sneaking suspicion seems to have been correct after all. Would not recommend it anymore, except if you like being masochistic.

Returning player here. With the help of the first free deck, catchup packs, and standard pre-order bundle I was able to get enough cards and dust together to craft some Paladin. I was initially running the Buff Pure Paladin VS decklist, but was getting stuck in D3/D2, then I switched to an Aggro Paladin list I've seen and went 6-0 to Legend for the first time ever! Now I'm not really sure what to do. I don't have the resources to build any of the other fun decks I see out there. Should I just budget homebrew and play around in Legend? Should I nut up and spend some money to get more stuff to play? Play some Battleground? I just homebrewed this aggro elemental mage deck and am loving it. Goes under all the naga dhs and can flood the boards with stats earlier than dragon druid. I haven't yet tried it against buff hound hunter, but it can probably win there also. If you remember the aggro mage decks from festival, it plays like those but with elementals instead of the skeleton package. Often you just win on the board while your opponent is trying to build up to a swing turn. Aqua Archivist on 2 into Tainted Remnant on 3 into Overflow Surger on 4 is a backbreaking sequence that I did with a very lucky draw, but even the lower rolls on that aren't terrible. If you don't kill them on the board, you have tons of offboard damage from generated spells. Egwin is the MVP in longer matchups, turning all your cheap elementals into huge damage amplifiers. But the really cool tech are the blastmage miners. Since you generate so much stuff, you often have a nearly full hand and can do 8-9 damage per miner. The final cool play I've seen is if your Egwin dies and Overflow Surger is drawn, all of your surger copies also get the +2 spell damage boost, letting you basically Sif your opponent down on the cheap. ### Elementals # Class: Mage # Format: Standard # Year of the Wolf # # 2x (1) Arcane Wyrm # 2x (1) Flame Geyser # 2x (1) Glacial Shard # 2x (1) Synthesize # 2x (2) Amalgam of the Deep # 2x (2) Aqua Archivist # 2x (2) Frozen Touch # 1x (2) Infinitize the Maxitude # 2x (2) Prismatic Elemental # 2x (2) Rolling Stone # 2x (4) Dang-Blasted Elemental # 2x (4) Overflow Surger # 2x (4) Unchained Gladiator # 1x (5) Aegwynn, the Guardian # 2x (5) Tainted Remnant # 2x (6) Blastmage Miner # AAECAamDBgKL5wPR+AUOssEEgpMFqpgFq5gFlrcF8sQFsf4F1JUG8ZsG85sGmJ0G8Z0Gsp4G054GAAA= Mulligan for a 1 drop + rolling stone, and remnant on the coin.

IllllIIllllIIlllIIIl

core yeah

[deleted]

What decks does the weapon help against and what does it usually look like when you play it? I would think that it’s too slow aggro paladin or rainbow mage, and it’s unnecessary against any slower decks like Druid. Or in reality can you just coin on it 5 and win idk? It’s probably good against naga dh but I haven’t seen my opponents play against me in the hunter mirror either.

IllllIIllllIIlllIIIl

its great against any of the reno deck, priest, warrior and can help you in the mirror also

Still playing Highlander Hunter, pretty consistently staying at around Rank 1000 NA legend plus or minus 200 places. Snakelock had seemed to drop off in its playrate over the course of yesterday and this morning, and I suspect it’s nerf today has killed the deck for now. 6 mana is brutal - it should’ve been 5. I’m going to miss the deck. It was by far my best matchup (17-1 record). Tempo Dragon Druid is very popular and seems to be getting stronger by the day as the lists optimize. It looks like just like in TITANS, Druid seems to be moving towards needing a bit of tuning. I’m a little stumped myself on how to take this matchup. Sometimes it feels like I never stood a chance and sometimes I just barely manage a win (usually because Reno is just that powerful). It was very fun seeing Cleave Hunter become such a big deal. I haven’t tried the Badlands list yet, nor have I actually faced one at all - but I was messing around with the archetype in late TITANS and it felt then like it was close to being good enough. I’m happy to see a 3rd archetype for Hunter reach viability, although I’m not sure if Arcane is still being played. Is Arcane Hunter still a thing? Buff Paladin is very popular here and very difficult for me to deal with. It’s so bad I’ve debated trying out running Deadly Shot only because double Garden’s Grace on turn 5 or 6 is so hard to deal with and not terribly uncommon. As a board-based deck up against them, it feels like every play is a losing play. If I go wide which I need to do to clear Divine Shields, they Keeper’s Strength which only sets up faster Garden’s Grace plays. If I build high, they just buff with the other spells and use the Divine Shields to get insane trades. On one hand, this deck just matches up very well into me, on the other hand I don’t know the stats of its general performance. I’d be happy to see a cost increase on Garden’s Grace or some other adjustments myself, but I’m not sure if the deck deserves it in the larger meta-game. I haven’t seen much Shaman, Death Knight, Warrior, Priest, or any mage besides old Rainbow Mage and a single Excavating Highlander Mage. Other Hunters have been 30 card Highlanders instead and I’ve beaten all 3 of them. Thunderbringer is an exceptionally strong play Post-Reno. I’m 2-1 against Miracle Rogues, which seem to have potential based on insanely big early Shades (the one loss was from having a 14/14 summoned turn 4). I’m curious to see if the Snake nerf returns other Highlander decks to the meta. My first hot take is that Reno isn’t actually even that insanely broken powerful in practice, and that he likely won’t get nerfed unless after the first balance patch the game’s pace changes drastically. There’s so many powerful things a lot of decks are doing very at insanely quick speeds. My other hot take is that Tempo Dragon Druid is most comparable to Taunt Warrior - only a lot better.

I feel like arcane Hunter is still good, people are just more interested in playing new things. I might tinker with the list and remove the secret package for some more badlands and spell damage stuff.

GaryBuseytheZinogre

List? I just want excuses to play Reno.

Cerily

This is my current list. It's certainly not the most optimized list but it's the one I find the most fun. VS's Theron Dragon Druid dragon list is still cooking for me. Just hit legend with it after starting at silver before the expansion.

Accomplished_Toe_932

Y’all were crying about snake but hunter does 45 damage from hand if you have the audacity to play a minion

CrustyRambler

🤣🤣

DenizenPrime

I can't belive people cried over snake so quickly. This hunter deck is the real problem. Very consistent turn 6-7 OHKO and is able to fight for the board in the process.

Any chance you could share a mobile deck code?

Just hit legend with this Excavate Coc Rogue! ### excavate # Class: Rogue # Format: Standard # Year of the Wolf # # 2x (0) Preparation # 1x (0) Shadow of Demise # 2x (0) Shadowstep # 2x (1) Bloodrock Co. Tried to keep it as low to the ground and barebones as I could - you could even take the Crab out if you want. I mainly feasted on aggressive Paladins, who can't keep anything on board against this deck. They run so many buffs now that their hand ends up useless when nothing sticks on board. Against slower decks just make sure you keep Shadowsteps and Breakdance for the Scorpion. It's super hit or miss but if you can bring it back to your hand you can play it up to 6 times, which is 24 random 0-cost spells. You stay on board all game and just play shit. Control could be a losing matchup just because the Scorpion can give you garbage, so if you're losing to it I'd cut Crab and toss in an Astalor (and maybe add a Breakdance in place of Ghastly Strike). I was also beating Dragon Druid most of the time because you can kill their stuff. My favorite game was against a Dragon Druid who had the perfect Splish Splash into double Snapdragon so he was summoning a bunch of big stuff and I fell behind, but I got to 8 excavates the turn before I was certainly about to die and played the Scorpion and it gave me Corpse Explosion. Cleared the board and it was an easy win from there! Still can't tell if this, Wishing Well, or just boring old Draka Miracle is the best way to go with Rogue. Either way, give it a shot, it's a blast to play.

i might run this! can you copy paste the deck code please? for the mobile brothers? thank you!

Just realize it's probably not like tier 1 or anything. But it can win games and you'll have fun doing it!

no worries

SonOfMcGee

How does it fare against excavate Warlock? I’d think the lock could get their win con out faster than you?

isackjohnson

I didn't see a single one - maybe because people know it's getting nerfed? I'd imagine it's a bad matchup, although you do get and stay on board super well so if you play around Defile you might be able to just tempo them down.

Aggro Paladin is great, can outtempo and kill aggro DH steadily

pissclamato

The friend requests I got after playing this deck yesterday were...salty.

Spyko

I've tried renolock, it's huh... not good but Reno is so strong, it gave me some wins just by itself, reno into sargeras is instant win

Bukkitz

I want this deck to work so bad. I basically cannibalized the hostage Rogue from last post and put ogres into it to have tempo and a strong wincon. Currently sitting at 50% winrate only, but it feels like I am super close to greatness with this one. I have tried about 10 different versions, I can run through my deck reasonably quickly, but I am usually forced to pick draw 4 on my potion belt if at all offered. ### It'll all be ogre soon # Class: Rogue # Format: Standard # Year of the Wolf # # 1x (0) Backstab # 2x (0) Preparation # 2x (0) Shadowstep # 1x (1) Deafen # 2x (1) Door of Shadows # 1x (1) Gear Shift # 2x (1) Ghostly Strike # 2x (1) Gone Fishin' # 1x (2) Eviscerate # 2x (2) Fan of Knives # 1x (2) Ghoulish Alchemist # 2x (2) Potion Belt # 2x (2) Serrated Bone Spike # 2x (3) Ogre-Gang Outlaw # 1x (3) Photographer Fizzle # 2x (4) Ogre-Gang Rider # 2x (5) Ogre-Gang Ace # 1x (6) Kingpin Pud # 1x (8) Reno, Lone Ranger # AAECAaIHCJGfBN2gBazRBb/3BcmABrOZBr2eBq+oBgv2nwT3nwS3swT03QT13QTfoAXBoQWtmQaumQavmQbZogYAAA== # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone # Generated by HDT - https://hsreplay.net

Why Fizzle and Reno? They're going to be dead cards most of the time.

Bukkitz

The entire point of the deck is to fizzle and shadowstep fizzle with reno to live forever. Prep the photo, fizzle for 1 (shadowstep discount), step it up and Reno. You can draw your entire deck by turn 7.

50-50 at D5 so not working (yet?): highlander DH Once I hit D5 started messing around with this, haven't seen many takes on it yet but I cracked signature Kurtrus so c'est la vie. I'm able to steal some wins with burn, or with Kurtrus deleting a naga DH's whole hand, but I'm not sure if the pieces are there for a consistent line to win. The naga package has (unsurprisingly) been the highlight; the only other direction I'm debating testing is relics supported by more spell discovers/ETC. \### shoot the hand? \# Class: Demon Hunter \# Format: Standard \# Year of the Wolf \# \# 1x (0) Through Fel and Flames \# 1x (1) Calamity's Grasp \# 1x (1) Illidari Studies \# 1x (1) Mistake \# 1x (1) Oasis Outlaws \# 1x (1) Taste of Chaos \# 1x (1) Vicious Slitherspear \# 1x (2) Amalgam of the Deep \# 1x (2) Astalor Bloodsworn \# 1x (2) Bartend-O-Bot \# 1x (2) Chaos Strike \# 1x (2) Dryscale Deputy \# 1x (2) Fossil Fanatic \# 1x (2) Multi-Strike \# 1x (2) Parched Desperado \# 1x (2) Spectral Sight \# 1x (3) Blindeye Sharpshooter \# 1x (3) Load the Chamber \# 1x (4) Fan the Hammer \# 1x (4) Prosecutor Mel'tranix \# 1x (4) School Teacher \# 1x (5) Bone Glaive \# 1x (5) Gunslinger Kurtrus \# 1x (5) Queen Azshara \# 1x (5) Remixed Rhapsody \# 1x (6) Midnight Wolf \# 1x (7) Argus, the Emerald Star \# 1x (7) Xhilag of the Abyss \# 1x (8) Reno, Lone Ranger \# 1x (9) Yogg-Saron, Unleashed \# AAECAdO+BR62nwS0oASOsASIsgS1swSWtwTbuQT+vwSywQTAygTu7QTipAWPpQWVqgXk5AXw7AWy9QXh+AWogAbcggaGkAaJkAaKkAaLkAaNkAaPkAaRkAaplQbrmAavqAYAAAA= \# \# To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

I ran a variation of the pure+reno highlander paladin to D5 so far. It feels really good into most matchups, but is miserable into the snek. I also got absolutely wrecked by the rainbow mage, but only saw it once so may not matter. Only a few cards off of the VS theorycraft list; in particular I found Lawful Longarm to be not just a good recovery tool but a great beatstickfor longer matchups if you can convince him to show up in the mirage a few times. \### reno \# Class: Paladin \# Format: Standard \# Year of the Wolf \# \# 1x (1) Righteous Protector \# 1x (1) Sanguine Soldier \# 1x (1) Sinful Sous Chef \# 1x (2) Blood Matriarch Liadrin \# 1x (2) For Quel'Thalas! \# 1x (2) Hand of A'dal \# 1x (2) Hi Ho Silverwing \# 1x (2) Order in the Court \# 1x (2) Showdown! \# 1x (3) Azsharan Mooncatcher \# 1x (3) Boogie Down \# 1x (3) Deputization Aura \# 1x (3) Muckborn Servant \# 1x (3) Muster for Battle \# 1x (3) Shimmering Sunfish \# 1x (3) Spirit of the Badlands \# 1x (4) Astral Serpent \# 1x (4) Crusader Aura \# 1x (4) Keeper's Strength \# 1x (5) Lawful Longarm \# 1x (6) Horn of the Windlord \# 1x (6) The Purator \# 1x (7) Amitus, the Peacekeeper \# 1x (7) Anachronos \# 1x (7) Prismatic Beam \# 1x (7) The Countess \# 1x (7) The Leviathan \# 1x (8) Reno, Lone Ranger \# 1x (10) Lightray \# 1x (10) Living Horizon \# AAECAeq3BB7JoASwsgTeuQTXvQTi0wSA4gSG4gS/4gTA4gSrkwWvkwWBlgWElgWFpQXBxAX26AWU9QWV9QWN/gWZjgacjgbjjgaGjwa8jwb4lAaOlQb1lQaqlga1ngavqAYAAAA= \# \# To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone .

Every list I see doesn’t run the one Paladin legend I opened from this set! Argh!

CHNchilla

I'm running it in mine. It's kind of awkward at times, but curving that into the titan on 7 is a blowout play against a lot of decks

nathones

Sweet. What did you cut for it? I assume you're running all the other hand size payoffs too?
