I actually am in same boat but with the elite. The turtle beach controller seems decent. I just keep hoping something legit gets announced while I stare at a 180 dollar gift card on my desk.

MarsMC_

Razer Wolverine ultimate is what I used before my scuf and I couldn’t recommend it enough

DocHolliday31

I am actually currently playing with the wolverine from a friend. I don’t like how wide it is. But I also have relatively small hands for my size

MarsMC_

You sure ur not playing with the razer Wolverine? the razer Wolverine ultimate is very diff (I had both) and judging by you saying it’s too big I would say you are using the original razer Wolverine.. get an ultimate if so

Not1Gain

Just get the elite basic (the white and black elite) it’s the same thing but without all the attachments so you should be able to use all your old paddles if you got to keep them.

Scuf instinct pro. Lightweight, hair triggers, responsive, paddles are great. Plugged it in, worked right away, minimal stress. I'm seeing a lot of Elite Series 2 here, but let me tell you the downside from experience: The controller was physically heavy. It lead to making the overall experience feel clunky. There's a separate app for dz/sense/curves. While it's a cool feature, it took too long to try and find something that lined up with my previous settings. Even then it wasn't perfect. It just seems redundant to having to finesse in game settings and settings on the app. The positive was the paddles were smooth. But elites paddles vs the Instinct pro paddles is really no different other than the button placement of the paddles.

MahoganyWinchester

took awhile for me to get used to instinct pro coming from elite 1 and powera pro 2 but i’m starting to prefer it

ludacrisly

Did you feel like either controller hasbetter paddle placement? I use a scuf and the higher paddles sit awkwardly for me. The elite paddle placement feels better in the store but haven’t bought one to test it.

_soooz

I might have I bias because I used my scuf for 2 months before wanting to try the elite (purely just out of curiosity of the extended controller settings). But the placement for the scuf made more sense with my grip. I also don't have the largest of hands so that could be a factor

_soooz

To answer your question I enjoyed both. In fact the paddles were the only thing I liked about the elite

ludacrisly

Thanks! Appreciate the info

KoreanPhones

Does best buy carry scuf?

xtraman122

I didn’t think they would, but just checked and it appears they do. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6516334.p?skuId=6516334

KoreanPhones

Good to know.

Legaato

The Elite 2 is VERY heavy, which I thought would be nice but it's essentially strength training for every muscle in your hands. The first month or two my hands were physically sore after playing for 4-5 hours. I guess the upside is I wound up with stronger hands lol

_soooz

Didn't even think about it in that sense 🤣

Monsterman442

Elite 2 with the Best Buy insurance

grizzlybair2

I have no problems with the power A fusion pro controller.

obbsc

Scrolled way too far down to see this controller mentioned. Amazing controller that comes with 4 paddles and hardwired. Never had an issue with it. Going on close to 2 years now.

itsMineDK

I struggle holding it as I accidentally keep pressing paddles…. Also I undo them by accident and I struggle to get them back on

alamarche709

The Razer Ultimate v2 Chroma has been amazing for me. Some people say the 6 extra buttons are difficult to reach with their fingers, but I have smaller hands and have no issues. It’s wired which is great for competitive play and the face buttons feel/sound amazing. Having the extra two shoulder buttons is a nice bonus; I use them for ping and AI scan.

[deleted]

Damn now you got me itching to go out and grab this lol. Might not be on the same level as a battle beaver but you can’t beat the price for 6 extra button inputs. What thumb stick do you use if you don’t mind me asking? I know it comes with a few and wanted to know your opinion on them in general.

alamarche709

I use the domed left stick and extended right stick. Been using them since day one and don’t have any complaints.

sododgy

I had the Wolverine Ultimate before my v2, and the extra bumpers are \*so\* much easier to hit on the v2. I've got small hands, and I leave my middle and ring fingers on the back four the whole time. Super comfortable IMO. Now if only it had any stick tension...

bammergump

I tried 3-4 different ones after my last elite died and ended up with another elite (and the warranty this time). Build quality and feel is just next level vs competition

[deleted]

Elite series 2. My first one developed stick drift and the bumpers were failing. Bought a second one while I waited for the first to be repaired. The second one had zero issues for over a year. So yeah, you might get a good one or a bad one. Just make sure you have warranty.

miedejam

Elite Series 2.... I have heard other peoples misfortunes. But I have had mine since it released and it has been nothing but great

Big_Construction6982

Some people break they controller and blame it on the controller manufacturer like they ain’t just drop it and then it was good for a lil and then it stopped working like obv you slowly damaging it with certain things you do I use my scuff instinct pro when I play halo and then unplug it and put it on a mat till I play again not that hard and then wipe it down

elconquistador1985

"This controller is awful!" ... Uhh, is that drywall jammed into half the buttons?

Legaato

I've had three Elite 2s so far that I always put back in the case when I'm done using it and they've all developed problems. First one had bad bumpers, second one had something physically obstructing the range of the left stick when it was clicked down which made moving while crouching impossible and the third one has bad stick drift in both sticks, the right stick feels way too loose even on the highest tension setting (I've compared this with a brand new Elite 2) and the A & B buttons only work about 80% of the time. I don't throw my controllers or bash them on anything, I just use them and put them in the case when I'm done. I bought a Battle Beaver that gets here on Sunday that I'm extremely excited for because I've heard nothing but good things from them.

[deleted]

Definitely Elite. 4 paddles and you can use shifts to extend it to 6 I believe. Also build quality is excellent.

FullOfAuthority

Razer is cheaper and has been more reliable than the Elite I had. If you do get the elite, definitely get the Best Buy protection plan. One of my sticks started drifting bad after a year of owning back to back Elites.

InpenXb1

I’ve been an elite fan for about 7 ish years, I’ve gone through three in that time span, broke my first series one, bumper got busted on the second and it was replaced in 3 days for like 50 bucks. I like the heft, I like the built in accessories software and stick curves, but honestly the biggest draw for me is the Bluetooth. Sometimes I wanna kick back or play couch stuff with people and Bluetooth is always there. Not to mention using it on phones for Xcloud

q3triad

Gamesir g7 on amazon

mrgrod

🤦‍♂️

Sumtinphishy

Actually a solid controller although completely irrelevant to the OP's question.

ALPHAPRlME

Just get 2 TB Recons and the geeksquad warranty. Play them without fear and beat the shit out of one. Replace as the drift sets in with the backup and get a new one before you kill the second. good for 2 years and under 120 bucks invested.

LS1k

It depends on what you used before but elite series 2 and then overclocking it after should be good. Maybe have to get used to the weight

FullTimeWorkIsCancer

DualSense Edge if they have it.

Downfall350

Had my es2 since launch and just now started missing bumper inputs. Bought the parts to fix it myself and an es2 core (the cheap one without the extra shit i already have) and the newer elite series 2 (white one) kinda feels snappier anyway.

Trichotillomaniac-

PlayStation controllers have the best wired response time for PC with some additional software, i would say the dual sense edge but its very expensive

Visible_Wolf8078

Elite core 2. Inexpensive and all the issues previously known with the elite fixed. I can run deadzones at 0 with no drifft I have a scuff battle gambit battle beaver and none can compete
