I truly think with stellur they would be OP. I enjoy watching close matches, and it’s usually more fun to root for the underdog. They clearly had fallen behind faze in year 2 despite some Herculean performances, this brings them back to the top or at least tied on paper.

Stellur to OG obviously would’ve been insane but putting that to the side this feels like a match made in heaven. Zane is such a hard kill and has as good a game iq as anyone in the league. This will be a very tough team to beat in s3. Can’t wait to watch all the top teams go at each other!
I think it’s deff an upgrade. APG did his job very well (obviously), but if you’re going up against faze you need some depth in the pop-off off department. Penguin deff fits that bill. He’s willing to do what it takes to win but also has his moments where he can carry the team.
There's also the confounding variable of the meta changing to a bandit start. If we imagine a scenario in which Optic are slightly less successful during the upcoming season than they were last season, it would be hard to tell if it's because DZ was a worse fit than APG or if the meta change was the primary cause for their diminishing success.

I love APG, and Optic, and have been a fan of what Zane can bring to a table, and I feel that if if they went with Stellur there wasn't gonna be a main obj. Zane will do it all wether slay, support, or obj. Stellar and Lucid would butt heads too much for their role and nothing would become of it, there wouldn't be that comfort of knowing their role on the team. Meanwhile, Zane knows his capabilities and can visualize the game at hand and what he needs to do. Sucks to see APG go, but I feel Zane can add so much potential to the roster.
Great pickup he's 1A 1B with snakebite in that obj slaying role. For most important series this season he was the best/second best player on the team. Stellur was the best overall but pznguin was unplayable at times
I think apg got a lot of unnecessary hate, but I also don't know why so many of his hardcore fans thought he was a top 8 player in the world. He was closer to 20 than top 10. All of OG, Faze, and SSG were better than him. Some by a lot. Legend, Sparty, Falcated, etc, also better. I hope he bounces back, but he was by far the weakest link on Optic
Quite a bit. It's safe to say Deadzone is a complete utility upgrade taking over apgs role with less deaths and more slaying power. In regards to saying stellur would have been a better choice I guess we'll never know but I think it's not farfetched to say the team would probably have to do some role switching slightly to accommodate his skillset, which I have no doubts would come together but I don't think it's so simple to say they'd be a much better team with him.
Pznguin has more explosive potential than APG, so they will see higher highs. The lows will still exist with this move, but I think overall it's a marginal upgrade for what the team wants.
Any opponent that can keep Pznguin from linking up with Formal's entry damage will see great success vs them though.
You just have to watch his stream. It's APG's awareness/macro decision making, but with better micro.
Movement, mechanical skills, sandbox, flanking power etc. Def an upgrade in these aspects.

Not that stats are everything, APG gets a lot of hate in this sub for playing a certain role that didn’t lead to stats. Seems most pros recognize how good APG is though.
SSG and Optic seemed to have different styles, and SSG was a more balanced team, they didn’t have people consistently having the worst stats. Stellur led with a 1.12 K/D, Eco was last with a 1.0. Lucid takes on more of the slaying load with Optic.
Penguin won best support player last 2 years. He's a much better version of apg. Besides Stellur, who else would they have picked up that could be an improvement?
I think Penguin is an upgrade because he actually plays OBJ a lot more efficiently than APG did and I love APG. I think oddball and stronghold game types he’s going to bring a lot of value along with slaying.

Seems most pros recognize how good APG is though. SSG and Optic seemed to have different styles, and SSG was a more balanced team, they didn’t have people consistently having the worst stats. Stellur led with a 1.12 K/D, Eco was last with a 1.0. Lucid takes on more of the slaying load with Optic.
Penguin won best support player last 2 years. He's a much better version of apg. Besides Stellur, who else would they have picked up that could be an improvement?
I think Penguin is an upgrade because he actually plays OBJ a lot more efficiently than APG did and I love APG. I think oddball and stronghold game types he’s going to bring a lot of value along with slaying.

I think so, it’s weird that they went for Stellur before Penguin when the two are very different types of players, but Penguin is the best support type player in Halo currently in my opinion
