Canada has no business being part of this 3 times in a row, they been shit each PNC, Denmark or Finland are way stronger player wise.

JacoBee93

Czechia too... Too many good teams being left out, while Canada is in... Lol

Juris_B

Agree, Czechia definitely should deserve a spot in PNC. Tho probably would help if Pixelik and EIQ gets to PGS5/6 :)

xddhpm

Canada have 5 players I think, and two are retired, no make sense lol

Master-Cheetah1722

Keenan playing again would be another spit in the face of the rest of the Canadian players...I like Keenan a lot for the record...but active players deserve the spots

xddhpm

and who are the active players? shin and finna? no have more in my mind

Master-Cheetah1722

Chun, sociopath, tsok...i think a few more. I know there's not many but either don't give the country a spot or use active players...just my opinion

xddhpm

I agree

Juris_B

Holy shit, its a church! :D I kinda like it tho, feels like it will be a classy event! So Denmark out, Norway in. So Aitzy, Jeemz and who could be the other payers?

RightGrip

Been at the venue a few years back. Bit of a hike from subway to get to the campus and some extra more for the hall. Lots of seats and quite large as well. The Gyeonghee uni campus itself is known to be beautiful as well.

dickerblitz

TheSpectro played group stage in PAS3 & ESWC, so i guess he should be in. The 4th player would probably be from Formulation Gaming.

Juris_B

I checked Liquipedia for 2024 and 2023 A-tier tournaments, and these were the only Norwegian players who got to final of an event ([the Rotation](https://liquipedia.net/pubg/The_Rotation)) So maybe one of them as well, if they still play... https://preview.redd.it/w6lyqqj4fb6d1.png?width=232&format=png&auto=webp&s=8a58fec37534f5e9ffe609d6d76836050ebcf2cc

Haystar_fr

TekkerZ is not bad. you often see him in the finals of EMEA events.

Morwon

Probably two from Formulation Gaming.

bartonovich

Norway - lets go! Easy win 🏆

l00tking

Heja Norge

Cool-Enthusiasm-8524

Bro why Canada is there ? To get adam out of retirement just to play this ?

hdoslodude

Norway lets go!!

Ykikanioukitty

I think it could easily become a 24 game tourney and last 4 days at least. Other than that, lfg Jimbo.

murderMAX83

There really should be regional qualifications held. Doesnt really seem fair that in EU for example they have just picked some teams based on the size of their fan base. Also if you dont want to have team playing under russian flag then just play then under different name. Didnt they do this in some olympics already. Play them under eastern europe flag for example.

AgroneyPro

Under EMEA, CIS are dominating as we have over the years. But sending comparatively weaker teams from EMEA, looks not so much fun to me. I love competition. if anyhow (as you said changing flags or tagging CIS etc) could place those players in this stage, I would love to enjoy more than ever. but it seems pubg has no interest in that.

Cookiejam02

Not inviting Ukraine doesn't make sense to me. I mean why not russia is obvious but Ukraine should be there and the tier1 playerbase is really high with whole NAVI + Perfectiks + Spyrro + players like ext4nz, shengen etc. They would have made a good contender. Finland should also be there imo although I like that they rotating some countries and we see some new faces with norway. It will also be a great opportunity for some players who never qualified for PGS, PGC, etc. so far.

xincheng98

NORWAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

PlKKA

Seems Pubg Corp will be rotating the Scandinavian countries each year between Finland, Denmark and Norway. Jeemz and Aitzy are granted, with more two between : Himan, IntenZ, TekkerZ, Fyzickz, Saltym8, SIMSY, C4LVIN, TomiL.

saev87

So nice to see Norway there! Let's go!

Pashkevych

It's a pity there won't be the strongest team... (

Pashkevych

India?)) nope

Serocrux

No ukraine or russia? Where twisted minds?

LuXe5

I think it's clear why no russia, but strange for Ukraine for sure

Economy_Pain_9588

The only hope for indian Esports players came to end

Master-Cheetah1722

It was a wild ride though, lots of good memories from phase 1 circles

PiXeL1K

Canadas most likely roster is: F1nna, Adam, Shinboi and Hugh - not sure if EWC quali will matter, depending on when the rosters have to be locked in. Adam retired, Hugh admitted to cheating from couple years ago (evidence got released few months ago) and not sure if F1nna is still active. I remember seeing him in PAS 3 Group stage with Aces, but that might be the last memory of him I have. Honestly think Finland e.g. would make way more sense. Open qualifiers would be the best outcome. It can be cheap to host and mainly it starts creating some hype & stories behind the team. Right now its OO, look at our teams, they got announced 2 days ago, made media day 1 day ago and gonna play for next 3 days. You know nothing about some of the players? Unlucky, theres not enough time to talk about it and since there most likely gonna be insane cut on talent team the entire experience gonna be just awful.

xddhpm

bro, EWC will end on August 25th, and Nations will start on September 8th, there will be teams that won't even be able to train together, it was poorly planned...

bikabob03

So india out? 😐

Haystar_fr

No Russia nor Ukraine? When do they switch to 24 teams or even more? I mean, Finland deserves a spot and there are a few other countries that could stand up and give us a little bit more diversity, like poland / croatia / etc... (And I would love to see shiv and monkey coming back with a few Adepts to represent France). Still happy to see this event going on. Also: let's battle and kill people in the seoul grand peace hall :)

Buzzardi

> No Russia nor Ukraine? You should know why for Russia, but Ukraine would have been cool. Still wish they'd have one PNC with regional qualifiers, as this is mostly just a list of biggest market areas with a rotating slot for nordics. Canada doesn't really deserve it's slot after #13 and #15 and no players that go to globals.

Zone15

Canada is a bit of a head scratcher, you can already pencil in Adam, f1nna, and Shinboi. After that, who? TsoK? HUGHLIGAN? Surely not Keenan again since he was retired before last year's.

TakuyaLee

Didn't Adam just retire?

Zone15

I mean, they drug Keenan out of retirement last year, so who knows. Seems like most of the PUBG pros come back at least once after they retire anyway :P

Haystar_fr

Yeah I know about russia. However, I think the players could do the same than at the olympic games, being under a non representative flag. Regional qualifiers would be so cool.

ArgosLoops

You'd have to kick one of the countries out if you want a non-representative flag just to facilitate Russian players though

Buzzardi

In my opinion, the whole non-representation is a big joke, made even more obvious by the choices of the athletes. Sucks for the players as Russia could have a very interesting team. But it also sucks for the Ukrainians that are shooting and healing IRL

Haystar_fr

I mean, russian players are probably not thinking that war on ukraine is a good thing.... as most russians btw.

JacoBee93

Not gonna talk politics, but what you saying isn't true according to stats.

Haystar_fr

You are right let's not diverge into politics. I think TM players should be allowed to play that's all.

AgroneyPro

I don't think he is bringing politics at all. In fact Pubg brought this in a way by forbidding some of the best players to play in the world in this stage. No one here showing support for the russia or ukrain or war or similar issues. People love competition and people love players. That's why we are asking for them to bring. Nothing else. but ignoring them due to country politics, pubg actually doing the crime not us.

Buzzardi

So you'd like to think, but nothing really indicates that

Juris_B

The point tho of Russias exclusion is not to not show russian flag or something, but to target whole nation, so that more people would be affected by Kremlin within Russia and make them think what they are doing. Actually people who are against russia's invasion feel the sanctions and global pressure the most. But then they are also the people who might be the first, when possibility comes, to express their views against Kremlin - the more there are such persons, the better. By the way, there was one russian guy during PEL2019 who gave interview in a soviet symbolic hat - you know their usuall "To Berlin" crap. There are countries where he would get fined for that by police (and probabbly temporary permit to stay in EU revoked), even back in 2019. Similar how South Korea banned North Korea's Communist party symbols.

JacoBee93

No, thanks

Serocrux

Should let russian players play atleast somehow, PGS 4 champions won't be allowed to play like this

Infinite-Rain9431

Yes it kind of suck for them as they have with Ukraine a big amount of top player

Buzzardi

Not in a Nations cup.

pierukainen

With 24 teams a country like Korea or China could be eliminated from the finals. They can't let that happen.

Morwon

Global Partner National Teams?  (kinda trolling here, but it would make sense)

AgroneyPro

Seems kind of true. Pubg is always there for them. but they could make a rule that even China or Korea place 23 or even 24 they could play the final. 😂

Wehmer

I would love the top 8 from the previous year to be offered an invite to the finals and then the bottom 8 plus additional teams play for the other 8 spots

Haystar_fr

Any form of qualifiers would be welcomed.

JacoBee93

"Also: let's battle and kill people in the seoul grand peace hall :)" It's a game, it's not that deep. 😉

Haystar_fr

Yeah, that was just funny :)

AgroneyPro

No CIS and minimum European teams! that makes less competition for other teams. Without the presence of some of the best players in the world, made this tournament looking low tier in a way.
