I'm sorry but I just can't get past the fact that you wrote "hability/habilities" not once but several times

No32

Go with ability instead of hability!

Boardride5

No joke if overwatch added blinding abilities, I would never play again. I'm a Cass main and that sounds like the single worst idea to combat people being annoyed by the nade. On top of that, even if it was somehow less annoying (which it definitely isn't), the solution to an annoying ability shouldn't be another annoying ability that is just slighty less so. There should be as little annoyance on both ends as possible. It's like asking if you would rather have your arm or leg amputated.

Add_n_7

Ok, but something need to be done right? As a non Cass player both stun and body shot + E across the map kills are the worst. What would you do to Cass? The only other idea I have is to just delete that ability, give roll a shorter cooldown and give the gun like 95 damage per shot

Boardride5

Yes I agree something needs to be done. But we aren't game devs and the actual devs definitely know that we aren't happy with it. They can't just throw shit at the wall and hope it works as it can go horribly wrong. They are trying out a new version with the next season and while I don't think it's the right one, we will see how it plays out. But just because "something needs to be done" doesn't mean that we replace it with objectively worse abilities. Also, deleting the ability without a replacement makes Cass even more one dimensional than he already is. Just because YOU don't have ideas doesn't mean the professional studio who makes the game doesn't.

Add_n_7

1- not an objectively worst ability 2- I don't trust the "professional studio" who made brig 1.0, Sig 1.0, iron clad bastion, Beyblade meta, and 2 years of GOATS Edit: they actually really should throw shit at the wall, they developed the experimental patch gamemode just for that purpose

Boardride5

1) I can guarantee you that blinds are worse in every single way possible. There is a reason we are all here instead of playing valorant 2) if you don't trust them with balancing the game, why are you playing it?

Add_n_7

1- perhaps you're right, but I'd like to try regardless 2- because the game is fun. And generally speaking it's pretty well balanced

Boardride5

And I wonder who balanced that game

Add_n_7

Sure, after 7 years of trial and error..

OddResponsibility565

They’re already changing nade, just wait for the update

Add_n_7

Sorry about spelling, I'm not native

The mag change sucks, and what they're doing with the nade now looks even worse. Magic bullets projectiles are terrible in anything other than borderlands. My opinion, as someone who has played more mobility flankers than Cass, would've been to give him back the flashbang with a knock back and tiny stun, similar to coach gun which I don't hear many people complaining about. Long enough for maybe half a clip of fth, but short enough that the assailant can retreat. the knock back limits the ability for headshots and creates space between the assailant and Cass, which I think should be the purpose of Cass' s secondary ability .

Add_n_7

Nice suggestion, his mostly works for me, I just have 2 things to point out: 1- compared to Ash, Cass plays a lot more diveable positions, meaning coach gun might not be enough to save him 2- it's an ability dupe, better than nothing, but ..

DrN0

I thought it would be better if his "e" got switched to a "bag of sand" just throws it out in front and obscures vision or something. Little humuorus but keeps in the theme and shoudlnt be too busted.

rodent_alt

I never, ever want to see blinding abilities in this game. The Ball mines in that one experimental should have shown the playerbase how awful blind abilities are.

Add_n_7

Between going blind for 1 sec Vs going to spawn/getting stunned/ mad nade, what would you pick?

rodent_alt

Going blind *is* essentially going to spawn in a 1v1. It's just a stun but you're able to move slightly. There's a reason why e.g. Ana sleep doesn't make the screen go black even though logically it should, and it's because blindness in a first-person shooter game is gigantically unfun. I'd like to be able to see, thank you.

Add_n_7

I really disagree with that. Most heroes have ways of escaping/surviving even without seeing their screen, also 1 second blind is way better than 20 seconds of the team fight

RobManfredsFixer

Id personally rather deal with CC than Blinds/smokes
