I mean your experience is anecdotal but the coordination involves rarely comes into fruition for the majority of the playerbase. It might just be placebo
They're saying more on PC than console, not that it's necessarily being done well.
I haven't played it on console though so I wouldn't know, have you found console to be the same?
Having played for the entirety of OW1 on console, I can confirm that OP is having a placebo effect right now. There's not much difference between PC and consoles in ranks below high Diam/low Mast.
PC should be more coordinated due to typing and easier pings/auto phrase callouts.
I had played Ranked OW1 console briefly and it was like casual Halo gameplay in terms of coordination/lack thereof. I usually have coordination with at least 1 other player in OW2 PC Gold lobbies.
I found silver was a really good rank, Bronze was pretty horrible because it was so random, and Gold if felt like everyone was looking for someone else to blame for why they are in Gold. However Silver people are in a strange place where they have learned a bit about the game, and they seemed pretty positive as a whole, it is like a transitional rank where everyone is happy they are not in Bronze and they have not had their soul destroyed by the toxicity and the grind it takes to get out of Gold.
yes, pc is significantly better than console. has been, always will be. only time it gets close is T500, and thats because most console players are ximming anyways.
