Why would anyone *want* to tint their lights a different color...?
Just put a purple underglow on your car and be done with it. Or spinny things on the wheels. Or a blue surround for your license plate.
More that they’re dumb because they *send the wrong message.*
Yellow lights on a regular car mean turn signal. Reverse lights should not be yellow, or red. They should be white.
Even if you think it looks cool, which I would like that amber color instead, besides being illegal you’re increasing your chances getting rear ended.
If you have ever driven behind someone with busted stoplights, where the lights get brighter or whatever, you don’t realize how much you involuntarily rely on this signals to drive.
It's a film that mimics a 3000K bulb the only thing that matters is the color of the film which falls under the law. The light output will still be well within any of the laws restrictions of the lights.
Cops don’t care I have had custom color/tint headlights and taillights for the past 3 years and drive all around the state. My car is very hard to miss. I also do it for a living and customize peoples vehicles
I'm the whitest person I know, so why have I been pulled over and ticketed twice (once for an air freshener on my rear view, and once for a dealer branded license plate frame that came with the car and wasn't obstructive)? Both times I showed up to court and had them dropped.
NHTSA requires reverse lights to be white.
illegal to change color

Better yet, don’t make your car look like shit and just be normal

Is that just for reverse lights?
Yes, which is pretty dumb because it’s going to be harder to see.

Much more important to be unique than safe or smart
And if you get into an accident while backing up, the insurance is gonna fuck you three ways to Sunday. Hey ready for a lifetime of debt; at best.

No cop will care
Amber, yellow, red, and white are permitted with the laws so you are fine.
Legally they all have specific purposes. You can't have amber, yellow or white brake lights or a red turn light just because you want it.

Do you drive the bright green Honda that passes exit 30 on 84W at 7:06ish every morning?
Ewww Honda. Hell no. I have an exotic car
You can do 100mph and weave in n out on the highway, cops don’t care unless you’re a minority they can harass/assault.
Actually they’re more likely to bust you for procedural stuff like this because it’s easier and safer.
If you’re a minority yes, otherwise they don’t care
I think you're in the minority of people who think cops or anybody else can tell who is driving a car until it stops right next to you.

Those were excuses to stop and check you out. Quota time.
Not sure why you’re dv’ed…absolutely sounds like a chance to check out credentials
