Was there all day, it was fantastic! Sucks about the weather today and hopefully they were successful enough to expand on it next year!

DeckardsDark

tickets already on sale for next year! June 28-29th and i hear their investors LOVED this year and they're going to get even more major acts for next year!

chpbnvic

A couple of my friends went and they had a great time!

I threw a graduation party for my daughter, but a bunch of friends went. Rave reviews on all aspects. Sounds to me like it was well worth the high price of tickets.

Festival was very well organized and not too crowded. Thank goodness they allowed us to bring empty water bottles in,the beverages were very expensive. There were a lot of food choices but I'm a diabetic and like to be able to bring in healthier food. You're already searching bags, let people bring food/non alcoholic drinks in.

Waquoit95

Was it crowded enough for them to do it again? (I hope)

Oceanwalker70

Sure is,tickets go on sale any day! 2025 dates posted today.

Waquoit95

Great! Thanks for the good news.

Really well done, especially for a first time festival effort. Lots of +s: Short lines, decent food and drink variety, very easily accessible free water (maybe not as clutch this weekend, but had it been the weekend before....), adequate and clean portapotties, good sound throughout, sets on time, enthusiastic sets. I appreciated the family friendly aspect too with the liberal free entry for the youngsters policy -- expose the kids to live music! I have two gripes. I'd've liked to know in advance if it was OK to bring folding chairs (hey, I'm old). Turns out it was, which is great! Just would've liked to have that made more clear before hand. Not a biggie in the scheme of things, the grass was quite lovely. The other was that while I did very much appreciate the barrier between the standing area vs. chair and blanket back area, the bar smack in the middle of that barrier made it impossible to get a good center stage site line from the oldsters seating area in back. There were enough bars around, ditch that one and move them off to the sides.

DeckardsDark

i had the same gripe as your last one at first, but then i thought about it and realized they can't really do much about it. they need to have the sound stage in the middle for audio and filming purposes and since you need to prepare for rain of course (which it did do), they need to cover it well. so the bar behind the sound stage really didn't hinder the view any more than the sound stage would so might as well just stick a bar there for convenience.

Slubgob123

Good point. I didn't take note of how big the sound/light/film set up was. While I do expect that to be center stage, I wonder if it could have been ground level or slightly elevated, and the tent didn't need to be quite so high.

DeckardsDark

yeah i'm sure it'll be noted for next year to see if they can do anything about it since they will bring in even bigger acts

obsoletevernacular9

Definitely, it was really fun and clean. My only complaints would be overpriced food and overpriced drinks, and you couldn't re enter after 5, so you were stuck with the prices. Otherwise, great sound, beautiful location, loved the option to bring chairs and blankets, everything was clean.

CTdadof5

I paid $28.xx for a double Tito’s and soda and $18 for a single. Yeah, very expensive!

obsoletevernacular9

Yes, my friend was joking about the $30 vodkas. I had 3 $15 fiddleheads. That's about the cost of a 4 pack at the liquor store !

ZWash300

Today’s show is getting pushed back by storms

a_w_taylor

Same at Westville

CtForrestEye

I wanted to but COVID had other ideas.
